This is a tremendous rendition of this beautiful song! I love the participation of the choir. Their swaying is like watching the tendrils of a sea anemone sway in the current. I also love the expressions and the feeling they exude! What a testimony to the Lord!

Tragically, in the way of Buddy Holly, this man Keith Green also was in a plane crash. BUT, it is not really tragic in the sense that he still lives - with his Heavenly Father forever.
if you haven't noticed, in the description box it is stated clearly that the writer of this song is Annie Herring. she is part of the 2nd Chapter of Acts who first released this song in 1974, years before Keith Green sang this song.

Annie Herring...meet Ralph Carmichael. :-) Talented choir and orchestra. Interesting arrangement. The original was an incredibly powerful anthem, full of power and promise. While well executed, this one feels like a "trying to hard to entertain" show choir version, which I guess makes sense since it was performed by a show choir. It made me a little sad. Glad to see, though, that some folks were blessed by it.
Keith Green performed at CBU ... must have been in the late 70's when it was still a small liberal college ... CBC. The performance was on the magnificent front lawn of the school to accommodate the few thousand that attended. He had quite a following among young people. He would preach for awhile ... and then he would play the Easter Song ... he never sang the words. But it was a powerful moment.
I was a Keith fan , too, though I never saw him live. He was kind of a late comer to Jesus Music (~1975?) and didn’t resonate with me quite as much as folks like Larry, Love Song, 2nd Chapter, et al. Miss him, though.

That was Judd Bonner, his son. He is no longer the director however.
