- Hey guys, tried this legendary song out, it was way harder than I thought. I have just had open heart surgery and half my diaphragm was paralysed during the operation so this was my first attempt at singing since the surgery. It’s not as perfect as I’d like but I have a good excuse haha. Hope you enjoy and please subscribe!

The hat is down, Sir! Right after watching started to put guitar part together. Didn't take me long to understand that the singing part is impossible, especially with that level of attention to the detail. 10/10

Thanks man, I appreciate that. I found this guitar pattern was the best I could come up with to get that sound. I usually find it easy to sing at the same time as guitar but this took some work on this one.

Breathing has been a bit different since surgery but I’m feeling much better each week so am thankful. If you listen carefully at the 1 second mark you can hear a clicking sound, that isn’t a metronome, it’s my heart ticking! Appreciate the kind words mate and thankful you enjoy the tunes

Truly unbelievable! I can’t get enough. Can I ask what types of songs/which artists you studied to learn your right hand technique? It’s really incredible. And advice you have would be much appreciated!
Thanks man I appreciate that. I taught myself and was previously a drummer. So I always had decent coordination. I started off learning Lindsay Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac. Songs like “big love” (live version) I then got into Andy Mckee quite a bit. Mostly I try to get the thumb to play the bass and be independent from the other fingers. John Mayer is great too!

@@goulwenpele1268 my guitar is is standard but it’s always tuned down a half step. So I capo the 5th fret. If you are standard just capo the 4th fret

Thanks mate, yeah it was a sad day when I found out they had paralysed the right side of the diaphragm in the surgery. Didn’t know what that would do to my singing. It feels back to normal now so feel very blessed.

Trying to learn this and man this is a tough one! You did an absolutely amazing arrangement. Struggling mainly with chorus because it seems like the pattern changes each line. The one on the “northeast winds” line is a doozy for me to figure out haha
It’s a tough one right! I struggled with it, each verse is different which was the challenging part for me, and then singing over it haha. It’s a hard one but keep going!

Hey, thanks for listening. I don’t use tabs so I think I watched a few vids online and started getting an idea of where to play it and which key. But no one was playing it correctly so I just started listening to the original and figured it out as best I could. There’s two guitars in the original so the timing is the hardest part. If more people show interest I could make a tutorial of this one.
