There's nothing better than raw footage of pow fun. No crazy stuff, just 100% relatable runs. You should do a compilation like this every end of season. Sick video! 👍🏻
I have never snowboarded before but have always wanted to. Recently I have been watching so many videos of people snowboarding and skiing and all it does is make me want to do it more. It seems so peaceful yet such a rush of adrenaline at the same time. Definitely number 1 thing on my bucket list right now is to learn how to snowboard
Go for it! Give yourself some time to get your feet under you, it might take a few times going before you're able to turn confidently. If I could give one big tip starting out it's to not put your hands out instinctively to catch or break your fall, as that often can lead to a bad sprain of your wrist. It's better to try to absorb the fall otherwise (ie with your forearms / elbows, but not your palms / hands flat) Hope that makes sense. GLHF!
I highly recommend wrist guards and a helmet initially. And one of the best ways to do it is to see if you can work at the ski resort for a season. That will give you loads of time to truly learn slowly and properly, and to experiment at your own pace. One of my all-time best experiences was doing 6 months at Beaver Creek in Colorado (USA) working as a liftie and having an all access pass to all Vail-owned Resorts. I had never snowboarded in my life (never even been in proper snow until then), but grew up surfing and skating, so the basic understanding was there, luckily. It still took me a few days to adjust though. Have fun and go for it.
snowboarding is my therapy I'm still learning how to toe-edge and such I think it's harder for me because I was born with clubbed feet and the docs worked on my feet a lot as a toddler so it's harder but honestly I think that is all in my mind. I love snowboarding it's so much fun but I'm still just learning basic turning and such with how my ankles work haha good footage man.
somehow watching some of this just before and after my icy day on the mountain made the day better. Maybe it was just the reminder that there's runs like these out there. Hopefully I can do Eagle's Pass one day.
could sit and watch these videos all day long. I went snowboarding for the first time in july (im in aus) at Mt. Blue Cow and i picked it up really quickly, watching these videos is like feeding me. I miss it, so thank you hahaha
Amazing upload. Great riding and location. Thx for all the good work. Watching sage ride goofy in first person makes everything scarier for me since I suck at switch.
Holy fuuuuck that looks amazing. And are we really not gonna talk about the fact that he manages to stop just inches away from his friends EVERY TIME? Skilled as fuck!
That’s probably the best footage and terrain I have seen, Scott newsome told me that it was amazing where he is when I was talking about how good Japan was
I'm watching this at half-speed while listening to the OST for The Last Temptation of Christ: Peter Gabriel. The light and terrain are fantastic. I would love to see some HD in camera slo-mo follow-drone footage.
I'll never be able to do this, so I really enjoyed going along with your ride. Beautiful capture and snowboarding skill ... and your lens stayed clean throughout !
@@djtjpainA couple of days of lessons to stand up and turn, then after that you need friends that snowboard very well to challenge you on any terrain. Hard at first but you will improve quickly. After a full season you can def ride powder and intermediate lines like in this video.
I’ve done heli and cat trips, I do cat over Heli any day. If you’re going to do a Cat trip do it in B.C. around the Nelson area a bunch to choose from (Red Cats 👍)
@@Chris-mx4jb our Heli trip was 5 runs for $1000 which took us 1 1/2 hours and our Cat trip was as many runs as you can get in before dark (we averaged 15 runs) approximately 6 hours including lunch for under $400
Great video bud, I'm based in Revy and the selkirk mountains blow you away every day. What was it like going with the eagle pass? I went with Selkirk for a day last year. Honestly a times this video looked like a video game, couldn't believe it was real.
My kind of paradise! I'll pick this over a sunny beach day anytime.
FAXSSSS
same, if only I knew how to snowboard lol
Best part is, this is in a way a sunny beach day 😂😂😂
It can’t not be topped 🤷🏻♂️
Snowboarding >>>> Surfing.
that was absolute magical, the views were amazing too, the sound of the board gliding the snow sounds so therapeutic
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen in my whole life.
I don’t get jealous often, but when I do, it’s when I’m watching videos like this from my desk at work!
This and watching real estate / car videos

Yeah we will 100%!
I love watching this dude coz he picks the lines where my eyes are going

DO IT! It's the best feeling... started this year after skateboarding my whole life and I feel I've opened a new door to endless possibilities.

I started snowboarding 2 years ago and whenever im able to have a giant trail to just do whatever, the feeling is amaazing

Yo dude I love watching you shred. Especially since you ride pimp style your tricks and line choice are so much more relatable. Thank you
Thanks a lot i appreciate that!
Pimp Style is the best style.
What is pimp style?
Pimpstyle means he rides goofy, right foot in front

@SageKotsenburg and by the way, your the Goat!!!!
What dreams are made of
Amazing view, the mountains of snow just looks never ending. I wish to see this in real life one day and also snowboard for the first time.
Hope you get a chance to ride someday!

Breathtaking view.

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO LIVE MY DREAM lol looks absolutely insane!
I could die a happy man after a trip like this!

Yes 🙌
This looks beyond incredible..
Place is unreal
I love powder but whenever I ski in it I completely die. Hopefully I'll be like you someday!
Yo!! That’s how I just broke my arm! Did a gnarly scorpion in the powder on a turn. Seeing him ride in it is insane to me!
soooo sick dude. Dream like!! Fun to see Blaze up there with you on the trip too.
Blaze was ripping!
I'll never be able to do this, so I really enjoyed going along with your ride. Beautiful capture and snowboarding skill ... and your lens stayed clean throughout !
Thanks that means a lot, lens stayed super clear which was awesome
клевые покатушки, приятный уклон, много снега, редкие деревья

Good job locking that exposure. A little effort goes a long way
I occasionally have cool dreams about doing 3's off fluffy booters like this and am glad to see it's well achievable in this matrix.
Nice video man, I only went snowboarding once in Colorado and this makes me want to do it everyday
What a dreamland.🤤
Sound of shredding is 👍👍🔥

Outstanding!!!
Been skiing my whole life but this vid makes me want try boarding, is it to late for a guy 59 and it great shape? Haha. Thanks for sharing!
Learning for me involved falling repeatedly for days lol bet you could do better with an actual teacher though. Never know unless you try.
