  • A friend wanted me to make a tortilla press (also known as a roti press) out of timber and I thought that was a pretty good idea. It was a really simple project and it was a lot of fun.

    Did the dowels on the base hold up to prolonged use? It’s been 2 years so I assume it’s been used at least 5 times lol. Serious inquiry though. I want to build one and I love this video.

    What’s the name of that grinder attachment you used to carve the wood press handle edges and make them round?

      Hey Tony, that's a flap disc; it's made from small flaps of sandpaper. You should be able to buy them at your local hardware store.
