Tools needed- pry tool, pocket screw driver, #2 Phillips screw driver, impact driver or ratchet with extension. Any questions let me know in the comments 👍
Today, as of 5/27/24, I replaced the ballast for my 2013 Infinity g37, all thanks to you. I have no mechanical skills and watching your video saved me money and gave me a sense of confidence in doing things on my own. Thank you 😊
That was cool. The Infiniti dealer wants to charge me $1,800 to do that. Now, I can order new headlights and take on the task. Then, I will install some cold air intakes. thx for uploading the video ...
Thanks for this! One major point of interest is that one bolt that everyone says you need an extension for is easy to get to without either an extension or deep socket. In fact, it would be more difficult with a deep socket. Simply go around what's in the way. I did the entire bumper with a 4.5" mini socket with 3/8" drive. 2009 infiniti G37 Coupe (Journey) here and only had the first wire harness to remove (only one). The OEM already had a ballast with all the other cables coming from the one. Initially it was tight to get to as what I saw you deal with and once it was out I saw that it was on a rail which is part of the headlight and had the easy ability to be slid off to allow for 5 or 6 more inches of slack. Wish I knew that then. I did most of it one handed as I held my phone and recorded. I will upload the video to one of my other channels next week since I'm still waiting on the now delayed headlight housings. Amazon doesn't like me I guess. Good thing I have my work truck or I'd have to put it all back together while I wait.
Me: My cool G35. Gonna change my bulbs and do all sorts of cool things to it. DRL and all. Here I go. Looks ez. Me starting to disassemble: WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK! Damn wires. So short. Man my hands too big. Off the wheels go. Damn I can't get the fog light in wtf. Man I just wanna...DAMNIT. I LOVE MY EX35. This piece of shit. Me after fixed: Pretends it was easy. What a cool car. Whew. Drinks 2 Gatorade. Damn. Prays to Nissan GOD that the drl doesn't die or the bulbs.
Thanks for the video dude. I saw that you were holding the light. I want to tell you to try investing in an headlight it goes on your head, but check out different headlights, it comes in handy.
I just bought Akon new headlights and they just got here and watching this video I’m hoping to get them installed instead of paying $2500 at dealership
I have a 2013 (bought a couple years ago, used mint condition) however, the headlight covers are old. It’s hard to see at night while driving because the headlight covers are all “foggy” so the lights don’t shine bright as they would if the headlight covers or lenses were new and clear. How do I replace them?
Sorry for late reply but should be very similar if not the same! I’ve never worked on a m37 but Infiniti’s make them similar too each other of course. Thanks

You are a life saver bro. Great detail... you saved me a lot of money.
Awesome video, used light to brighten dark areas also showed both side of the parts being removed, before and after removal .
