This is Uber-informative. Not only does it explain the functions and versatility of the device, but the breakdown of a performance-and now what those DJs I’ve been suspicious of are actually doing 😆
calc as a tutor is one of the best , such a great presentation, so how would i record the whole performance as shown at the end jumping sessions etc ? record into daw / external recorder ?
Thanks for your kind words! That's right, you can record the output from circuit much like we have here by connecting the stereo headphone output or main audio outputs to inputs on an external recorder, camera or a suitable audio interface connected to a Mac or Windows PC.
@@NovationTV awesome im loving this old og circuit, learning new errr old tricks and tips from your vids, and great to get response from a company these days, cheers guys
Awesome tutorial. I've had mine for a couple days now it's it's amazing! Picked up on it pretty quick. One question though: Is there a way to duplicate sessions to other cells? I notice when I go into session mode the duplicate button goes dim and it can't be used. This would make it a lot easier to put a full track together instead of having to input the same steps all over again from an existing session
+Michael Lawrence You can duplicate sessions. Try this: 1.) Open the session you want to duplicate. 2.) Hit the session button, so you can see the empty session slot pads. 3.) Hit the save button. The pad you have selected should slowly start pulsing. 4.) Hit the pad representing the empty slot you wish to duplicate your session to. It should start flashing rapidly, and will save a new copy of your session to that pad. 5.) You now have 2 identical sessions. Let me know how you get on.
Hello,I just have a fantastic talk on how to use and set the circuit in Antwerp thanks for that ,and I hope you do lots of this video tutorials for the circuit greeting ;-)
Thanks dude this helped learn loads! Such great fun!! :D Can you preview a synth or drum patch when you are choosing it? Before you've recorded anything?
+David Maitland Not at this time, David. You just have to switch between note and voice-change mode. Previewing seems to be functionality users are interested in seeing, though, so we'll look working it in somehow.
I'm wondering if I can achieve similar results with similar ease with my Launchpad, my keyboard, my rotary controllers & my different software synths ? If somebody has done so, can you point me to his video/howto page ?
+NovationTV Thanks for your reply. In the effects section, can you have an individual effect for each part? For example delay on drum part 2, and reverb on synth part 2 and so on. Usually these groove boxes just have one effect for all of the parts, which is very limited in music creation.
+acidphaze When you're in FX mode, the macro knobs on the device control the send to each track. That means you can tap reverb, use the appropriate macro knob to apply it to just the synth parts, then tap delay, and just apply it to drums - for example.
+Tech ' o Music / Technik Bauanleitungen / DIY / Music / Programmieren (C , HTML, ...) in 2-3 weeks they've said, they should be shipping within october
hell yhea, you can eaven play it while shopping, lol Whats missing for me, budget lol, well i always love to have much possebilites, so waveforms and a way to alter this. i pretty dont know whats the technical difference of synth and drums except the way its played, for me it would be nice having no difference and switch this by need. well sidechain and fx, mybe different fx for each instrument, one sidechain can be applied like the fx. well best would alway each for each instrument. hmm, my to cents. at all its a great groove box for live performance and addon for djs and for sure as instrument. maybe you sent me the newest products and i test it:)
Well, I like this, especially where I don't have a power supply to open my laptop and do things like this, like on a bus, or a train... but the price... at least in the next year, I can't afford this.
+bonedface We're being sent loads of pictures of users playing Circuit on trains, busses, planes, etc - it's definitely not only possible, but great fun. Let us know if you end up grabbing one; and send us a picture of where you use it.
it does. but usually I get bored doing stuff that looks simple. I like an instrument. And I like portability. so if I have to sacrifice some things to have it and having to work a bit harder... We have the apush already. Playing guitar never looked simple for me. :)
I hear Novation are making a circuit for guitarists. It has one large black led pad the you can press with your forehead or foot and only plays the arpeggiated e-minor pentatonic scale at 180 bpm....
So sick. I'm so excited. Novation literally fixes all my problems. TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!!!
I am excited to put my hands on this modern classic.
Nice watch dude... and handy video: found out a few things I’d no idea my Circuit could do. Cheers for that.
Oh and again, nice watch mate 👍

Already sold it to me but the fact it’s got side chain convinced me even more
Do the sounds that he is using automatically come pre loaded with the circuit? Can you change the sounds too
can you make a demo how to create full arrangement song ( intro verse chorus kinda thing) with different chord progressions and beats every each part.
Im debating on whether getting the circuit or the launchpad pro, what would you prefer? They both seem nice to be making music on the go.
this is a good explanation for your track , thanks... how do you feel about the limited presets?

Do the automations on the decay knob work globally over the synth sounds, across all notes or just over the last one selected?
Nice watch.

Awesome! I got it to work. Much better now. Thanks :D
A nice guide and a good explain from circuit. Big thanks.

ok thanks for letting me know, it would be a cool idea! ABSOLUTELY loving the Circuit though :D
I want this now!
will be able to receive external midi clock and send midi notes to external hardware?
+Francesco Milloni Official Yup.
You just answered half my question in like 2:00 / late to the party, glad I came / little box does big things
so the synths are strictly preset based? No actual synthesis going on?
Really helpful and interesting. Thanks.
Needs an LCD screen so you can tell what you are doing. Hopefully Circuit 2 will implement this.
I'm wondering if I can achieve similar results with similar ease with my Launchpad, my keyboard, my rotary controllers & my different software synths ? If somebody has done so, can you point me to his video/howto page ?
+Yann KEMPF You may be able to set up a similar workflow, but it won't be nearly as portable or easy to use.
NovationTV yeah seems this is more of a all in one solution
Excellent!
WHERE BUY The gold watch ?VERY LIKE
The big question is, does it do Acid Bass lines?
+acidphaze It does. Even if the included bass sounds don't strike your fancy, you can just use Circuit to trigger an external instrument or softsynth.

+kassie2k4 Oh Nice, Thank you :)

this is to fucking complicated to learn and use it live on a club
+tibiluk99 maybe you should play the guitar
actually i`m a guitar player but,i`m not a hatter,i like circuit, but it seems to complicated to use live

How is triggering a pattern too hard? Harder than what? Using ableton and a pc? Harder than beatmatching vinyl?
