You will need to take one jump ring off at a time to make the bracelet,just fit your wrist. I just finished mine and I have worn it for one hour. Working so far.

I've wondered this too. I think the best thing to use Spiral Weave for is for necklaces/bracelets; the user can turn the piece into a spiral, then latch it into place as is.
I just finished a bracelet with this technique, but while it'll spiral if I hold it like that, it kinda just sits there without doing it while it's just on. I'm wondering if it's the quality of the rings, because I'm not using thick ones (like Snappeez or rings specifically for chainemaille) so maybe that's it. Either way, it's easy to do and I love mine!!
I believe that the AR for this type of weave / chain should be around five. That is: The inner diameter of the jump ring being used, divided by the diameter of the wire being used. Therefore if you were using a jump ring with an inner diameter of 6mm and you wanted to achieve an AR of 5 you would divide the jump ring ID by the required AR (5) to get a result of 1.2mm. This would be the diameter of the wire to use. I think that this is correct. But I could be wrong... I am exceptionally good at being wrong. By the way, you can make an even better looking chain by winding two identical chains together and fastening them together at each end so that they cannot unravel. I saw this method being used somewhere on RUclips but I can't remember the URL. Hope that this is of some use to you.
bannor216 what would you recommend dipping them in? I've gotten the scratch problem with my silver plated copper wire. Whenever I attach such a ring to the jewelry, it usually scratch off parts of the silver plating and makes the copper visible. I'm thinking rubber, but I have no knowledge on this kinda thing :)
plasti-dip. the kind of stuff that gives tool handles a rubbery colored texture, like pliers. find it anywhere like lowes or homedepot. you can also use duct tape. but lately i've been wrapping my tool noses with sewing thread.

while you have probably come up with a solution...or given up: i have used (electrical work) shrink tubing - because i have lots of it in different sizes, but i will probably try dipping. i think the original commenter was referring to using something akin to Plasti Dip - available at hardware stores and online. Maybe instead of drooling all over yourselves watching him crochet you should start soul searching & being honest with yourselves so you don't have to be "in the closet" hiding from your significant others relieving yourselves watching "Mikey's" videos...just a thought.
You're not showing people how to close the jump rings correctly. You should never have to lay your pliers down when working. Other than that, I like the design.
PLEASE do more of these chainmail tutorials. the way you teach is so easy and clear to understand.

You can use any gauge you feel comfortable working with, except generally the thinner the wire, the harder it is to work with it.

The spirals will stay if you clasp the ends together. I made a necklace and it stayed spiral when I clasped it.

Several chainmaille sites say that the AR should be between 3.4-4
Haha, this was like, the first chain maille pattern I saw and thought "hm, I might be able to do this"
why not dip the ends of the tools so they dont scratch
