This version clearly is in English. It's possible to catch some of the lyrics like "... united", "... future that is...", "La la la, we salute you. La la la, we salute you Rufus."
I swear I also heard the "salute you", "salvation", "for all" and "the company" in the lyrics, but I've never had such a hard time trying to decipher lyrics in a song before. It still sounds awesome though!

In the fight between Cloud and Rufus at the Gold Saucer, one of the announcers (his name is Kotch iirc) actually sings some of this. It's something like: "We salute you Rufus Shinra. The president who we all adore...". Although I'm not sure if it's the actual lyric or just something he made up on the go.
And I love it's not the first time he does it, he gets carried away dancing in the first game, when he jumps out of Mr Dolphin and sticks the landing, when he wins the QB tournament in the Shinra-8, when he wins against Dio in the Gold Saucer, and etc, there's so many little moments of him getting carried away on succeeding at something and it's SO in character for him

I am a Japanese. I listened to this song because I was curious about how it was arranged in the English version. The lyrics were different from the original Japanese version. Everyone, please listen to the Japanese version as well.
it's kinda weird or funny that some OST is just play in just 1 scene. well i dont know yet if it be reused in later game. well in REMAKE is also kinda like that a lot, but some is reused in REBIRTH. that's kinda crazzzyy makes music just for 5 minutes scene keep it with the new OST, thanks dude
Damn when I played this for the 1st time in 96, this song stuck with me in my head. Now SE even made it more epic! I am joining Shinra for this! It brings back all the memories from back then. I teared up a little remembering my father who passed away when he used to see me play this. He was a great man. I am a father of 4 today and I can't measure up to 1/2 of him.
The special edit soundtrack includes this and while the booklet has both English and Japanese lyrics written for most vocal songs this one ONLY has Japanese. Curious..
