After seeing the Dungeons and Dragons movie, a professional therapist tries playing DnD for the first time, and proceeds to over-analyze how every player plays the game.

As someone who actually plays with a therapist, it’s honestly a lot more of them trying to fully understand the motivation of every single NPC rather than the PCs themselves.

I play the game because I like committing horrible war crimes like punting kids and I'm sarcastic not to hide but because I'm just a dick. Take that, Sigmund Freud and your psychoanalysis. How's that? I'm not sarcastic because of trauma, I'm just not a nice person.

There are many different types of game groups. "No judgement" sounds great in theory, but can be odd in practice. When characters who are supposed to be good have players who are extremely pragmatic, then being a bit judgmental might not be out of place.
"But... saturation bombing would kill the civilians along with the hostiles."
"Why are you judging me, I thought this was a safe space."
Then again, judging the character's actions is different from judging the player. Some of the nicest people I know play some of the most violent characters. Now, if a bunch of characters in a row have immense collateral damage, after a while, the rest of the table will wonder why that's such a consistent theme.

Judging a character's actions assumes you know the character that person is playing. A lawful good character may be a Changeling who wants all humans dead, for all you know! I played a game where the GM had allowed us to think the character was a ranger because he knew the guy was a changeling thief, with a Chaotic alignment, he basically didn't give a shit about anyone but Changelings.
I play a Moon Druid and am playing him very bestial, very anti-civilisation. My backstory includes watching local forests being torn down to make a town, killing all the local wildlife, so I am not very human or Civ-friendly. My GM has my backstory and told me recently that I was playing my character against type because he assumed I was going to be a fluffy Druid who makes calming teas for everyone - he clearly hadn't read my backstory at all, even though he was the person who asked for it.
Also played with a Wizard who turned out to be working with the bad guys. Some of his decisions seemed really weird but when we finally worked it out, it totally made sense.

IF they are a good therapist...
