When Bum-bo's only coin is stolen by a mysterious entity and pulled down into the sewer, Bum-bo finds himself facing droves of deranged enemies, lost children, his fears, and eventually the beast that stole his beloved coin.

in a match 3 game always make sure you can't combo thing above by destroying something underneath, when you do that poop move at 17 min you could have setup a bone move to kill 2 other enemies for free maintaining the two attacking units dead and a wall in front of the left one
I never knew how badly I wanted a game that leads to the phrase "I have a decent poop setup".

Back in my day we used to say "The Northernlion Story" when extracting a quote from an NL video for comedic effect.
I’d love to see this series last as long as, say, Slay the Spire. But let’s be real - it’d be _career suicide_ to play Bumbo for that long.
This game is not anywhere near the caliber of slay the spire but, I feel like NL fans will watch anything he puts out.
I skip a lot of NL shit, but you better believe I'm watching him play an Edmund McMillan game.

tbh, I tried to parse it while watching and didn't get it either. The darkened top-row sort of didn't do what he said either. It did seem really random, unless there's a cycle thing going on...
@@MonsterUpTheStairs It simply destroys what you click on and drops the column. The black row on top shows what's coming next. At 12:27 he clicks on a poop and the drop above goes down. At 12:35 the same thing. At 13:14 again. At 13:30 you clearly see the column going down... It's not complicated.

I was a little worried about this being a match 3 game because every match 3 game I've ever played was timed and I could never play fast enough to keep up, so I'm really happy to see this is turn based.
Try Puzzle Quest. Great match 3 game with no timer to speak of. Probably an inspiration for this game, now that I think about it.

One of my favorite things about NL is how much you can see him improve throughout a series (with occasional pot plays of course). I'm excited for another game that he can get good at but still manage to egg up like Isaac.

As fun as this game gets when you've figured it out some, I'm highly disappointed in the very minimal and buggy options page. I mean you don't have to remap controls, and you don't have too much to change in terms of graphics, but I don't like having to pick between windowed and fullscreen.
This game's visual style and music is so unappealing I refunded my pre-order purchase. Nothing in it has any 'pop' / feels satisfying. The visual style sounded really cool a year ago but the execution could've been a lot nicer.
Don't worry, getting scrambled during a tutorial won't make me think your brain's broken. I watch the NLSS, I know it is.

Bought this game and couldn't play it. It feels like an early access game, alot of shit is bugged and there is not even a damn options menu

I think the brown things Loaf was putting on the field were just covering up the board, so you can't tell what tile is under it.

The poop on the first boss just obscures the tiles, you can still use them to match if you remember what they were.

It was coming out for ps4 but after Ed fell out with nicalis I'm not so sure. It looks too boring though tbf.
@@Daniel189HLL to most people I'm sure it does look boring. But the positional plays as far as enemy placement and targeting is sure to excite people who played puzzle quest or similar match four games.
@@biffwellington7577 I love puzzle games, puzzle quest and gems of war in particular but as much as I love isaac this so far looks dull. I'm sure it will be better, it's an Ed M game but initially I'm afraid I won't like it. 😔
