As someone who served in the British Army, it brings a genuine tear to my eye, hearing the bagpipes played for two great warriors. Our unity, approach and mental strength make us the most vicious and effective fighting force on the planet.
I went to school (Haywood) with Paul. He was in the year above me. He was a really sound lad. Last time I saw him we were on a train going from Hereford to Birmingham. He was going back to barracks with his army gear on and I was going to a probation hostel and was still in active heroin addiction. He sat with me the whole way and we talked about lots of things from the school days and life, and told me to sort myself out and that I could do it. R.I.P mate from Howlsy 🙏
90% of SAS are English & that’s why everyone puts the Scottish flag to this man’s name because hes one of the greatest Scottish warriors ever & being trained by the English made him the super soldier he was. The better trained, the better the soldier.
@@meanlean3095 He wasn't trained by the English he was trained by the British military which is made up of Scots,English,Welsh and N.Irish plus the SAS was founded by David Stirling a Scotsman.
At the beginning, the blast wasn't directed at the SAS. They placed a breaching charge on the patio doors. You can see it in his hand. It's the big rectangular thing. Its used to breach walls/doors, etc. That's how they were able to retreat to cover. You can even see him detonate it. I remember watching this on tv while it was happening. The general public didn't know the SAS existed, until this moment. It was years more until people learned of the SBS.
The explosion you are seeing at the start is called a frame charge, it's placed over the window and denotated by the operator on the other balcony. It blows the frame and glass from the window to give them access. That is what set fire to the curtains and some of furniture.
This was broadcast live on tv, it's the SAS ending a six day siege of the Iranian Embassy in London, you can see "Mac" placing an explosive frame charge on the bullet proof window to blow it in and gain entry. Two episodes from Afghanistan you could look into are, Operation Glacier Two, by the channel Liveth for Evermore, also known as "that time Royal Marines went into action strapped to the side of Apache Helicopters. The other is from "The Operations Room" titled "4 Soldiers and 2 Apaches vs 100 Taliban Fighters", incidentally, the guards mentioned in the video are members of the Kings Guard, showing that they're real soldiers, and don't just stand around outside palaces in red jackets and tall furry hats.
It's a shame ya know him and his son who followed in his footsteps are not here with us anymore. He was a good man from what I can gather and his men and members spoke pretty high of him. RIP
I had the to meeet Mac at a Sterling Services airsoft event where we did a simulated embassy siege. We were then trained in CQB by Mac I will forever be belessed
We enjoy freedom off the backs of people like this. I served in hm armed forces. I'm nothing compared to John. We fight for each other. At one time the S. A. S were 80% Scottish. They are not just trained, they are born.
Another good video, guys. Keep up the good work. Thanks for your kind thoughts towards our nation's hero, John McAleese. One thing, may I ask, your videos or content is based on interaction between yourselves, the video & (presumably) your audience or followers. Can I ask, if you're commenting or have a thought, pause the video and share your thoughts, we genuinely are interested. It does distract and frustrate trying to listen towards both streams of information. Thanks again.
Unfortunately there are people out there who want to harm others and we need guys like John and recently, Christian Craighead (Obi Wan Nairobi) and many more, who are fearless and who will confront danger and neutralise the threat. God Bless them all!
Gentleman, ladies. In the UK military they NEVER salute unless properly dressed and that includes a hat / cap and are standing! (Not like the USA) I, a civilian, would never consider it appropriate to salute as I do not have the status. FYI the SAS / SBS are the reason why there are no political hostage taking in the UK! The UK have shown they can and WILL end a seige with dead terrorists and failure! If I remember right, there was one terrorist taken prisoner the rest left in body bags. SPECIAL mention should be maded to Trevor Lock, from Wikipedia: The gunmen quickly overpowered Police Constable Trevor Lock of the Metropolitan Police's Diplomatic Protection Group (DPG). Lock was carrying a concealed Smith & Wesson .38-calibre revolver, but was unable to draw it before he was overpowered, although he did manage to press the "panic button" on his radio. Lock was later frisked, but the gunman conducting the search did not find the constable's weapon. He remained in possession of the revolver, and to keep it concealed he refused to remove his coat. The officer also refused offers of food throughout the siege for fear that the weapon would be seen if he had to use the toilet and a gunman decided to escort him.
Yes that is true about saluting and I understand. But can't fault them as they don't know and were obviously saluting as a sign of respect . I'm sure John wouldn't have minded
And yet he refused to shoot _Salim_ when he had the opportunity during the siege. Had to leave it to the SAS. Classed as a hero only by the lefts that would have seen the terrorists let go and encourage thousands of similar actions around the world.
I remember this, I was just a pup at the time😕 Mac lost his son in Afghan I think and really had a bad time dealing with it. Mac died of a heart attack in Spain 🤨
His Father was an absolute LEGEND. I know little about him, but his father basically set up DELTA FORCE in the USA. What his father did in the Iranian Embassy siege is the stuff of LEGEND. Not a man to be messed with. Hope you are all well, looking good as always god bless from Wales x

Why didn’t you spend just a couple of minutes looking this up? All those questions would be answered, rather than guessing. These are the SAS in real action, rescuing hostages from the Iranian Embassy. We don’t have a problem since this with this sort of thing.
Unfortunately this man refused to return to the UK whilst under investigation for child porn offences and there was and outstanding international arrest warrant when he died.
My brother was in the Rifles (Firstly 1LI before they changed to Rifles) for 23 years and retired a few years ago. He did an extra year as he was asked to stay. Everything is about intent. The UK made the first special forces team & has always had the best special forces on the planet 🇬🇧
Great reaction yet again 😄👍
Pretty sure the Romans had smaller teams of elite soldiers and likely not the only ones. Phoney patriotic rhetoric.
I love your salutes, true respect my friend. 🇬🇧❤️
2 of the most respected regiments in the world are SAS and Gurkhas. UK regiments. Nimms is Nepalese, he’s been in both. Look it up. Lovely man.
