    I have been using my Trac Vac 880 pull behind for over 20 years. Makes fall clean up so much easier.

      Yes it is, so bummed that this DR failed so soon. It’s about 4 years old or so but for the cost it should definitely have lasted longer imo.

    Making yard work fun again. The leaf plow worked well. Stay out of the water Rachel 😅

    Yep it’s that time of year. Love the fall weather but hate the leaf clean up. That’s what I was doing yesterday. Take care guys.

    For the last 11 years I have mulched our leaves on 10 acres with our 2008 Bad Boy mower, reducing the leaves into small particles that won't blow into our pond. I never burn leaves because the worms eat the mul;ched leaves up and we don't have any grass areas that get thatched out because of leaf cover. The bad boy reduces the leaf clutter by more than 10x.

      thats what i do also.in summer if it rains i have millions of night crawlers and when it rains heavy the ground soaks up the water and my trees are doing a lot better and my basement stays dry.

    We are so dry and under fire watch conditions. Been in drought most of the summer. You can sent some rain this way . Thanks for another great video

    Wow! Youse guys are shoving out the videos! Don't you just love innovations! I literally live in a forest and battle leaves every fall. It does seem like every year they come up with better ways of combating said problems. Looks like you have things under control!

    Time to get an IBC tote liner for the DR !!

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  Месяц назад +1

      That may work. I will have to fix the actual bottom first though because the hydraulic lift shocks are attached to it.

    I just watched the DR leaf pick-up video from 2 years ago, then this one popped up with the broken DR. My pond is about half the size of yours. This is our second year in this new home, and I've been sucked into the pond mud 3 times with my 4wd tractor! Rachel, I'd really like to see what you are thinking about a hard edge on the pond. We're trying to figure out something too.

      Yeah we like the DR vac but it’s falling apart way too soon for how much it cost. We’ll definitely have to figure out something with the pond whatever we do will be on the channel.

    Good system. I just let the wind do the work. 🤭
    But I doubt you get much wind in there.
    Have a great day. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋

    Hello Heath and Rachel
    Looks like it’s time for a Buffalo Turbine blower for your tractor. That set up would be incredible. I’m surprised you can burn leaves there. That’ll get me a fine here where I live. They have free pick up but you have to paper bag them all or haul them to the dump for composting free of charge.
    Cheers Woody !!!

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  Месяц назад

      That is a pretty sweet blower but I bet it isn’t cheap! Everyone in Michigan burns leaves it seems.

    Wow that was absolutely amazing loved it and well done Mrs Rachel it’s a pleasure to see you a little more involved in the videos You truly are a hard working woman and quite smart and intelligent proud of you hope to see more of you. If you don’t mind and yes a big hello to you Mr heath awesome job and that was very impressive
    What’s the chances of getting some field stone Or maybe some concrete or maybe some 8-10 inch round hemlock to make a nice border around the pond that way it would look nice and be a little better for mowing ????? Just a thought sir ❤❤❤❤❤❤ take care guys god bless

    I feel your pain! I have a large yard and tons of trees. I just mow over them for several weeks and mulch them into the yard. Three days ago the frame broke (for the 2nd time!🤬) on my Husqvarna rider, where the rrans attaches to the frame. Now I'm screwed! I really need a Cyclone Rake, but they don't give those things away!!

      They sell a repair kit on Amazon, it’s like $50. I had to do it on a Husqvarna rider I traded a fc of firewood for. It wasn’t too difficult of a repair I’ll see if I can find the link!

    It’s kinda a little late now,…but I would suggest a mulching kit. In the future, you can keep mowing into the fall, and it’ll make it easier to keep your yard clean.

  • @ClellWise
    @ClellWise Месяц назад

    Well that was clever and I'm not knocking the process but I do wonder if y'all have ever considered putting mulching blades on the mower? That way you could still run over your area but chop the leaves into some good natural stuff for the lawn. Sadly the majority of Texas is in some state of drought so most of the state is under outdoor burn bans. And I never really did like burning leaves. I just think they could be put to a better use. But it's fun watching Rachel fly around on the Yakta. Hey Heath you should be sure to blow out the accumulation of crud in the crotches of those 2 trees near your burn area.

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  Месяц назад

      Thanks, I plan on trying that soon and will definitely blow the trees out.

    Just a thought what about cutting a 2nd exhaust chute on the mower. Block off one side mow and when you turn around block off the other? Also have you seen the blower Mike Morgan got for his tractor?

    Would a tote bladder inside the DR fix the cracked tub? It would be sweet if you could cut a patch from a tote bladder. Peace

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  Месяц назад

      May help to patch it but will have to sure it up as the lifting shocks are connected to the underside of the tote.
