divide both sides of 3^x=45 by 9=3^2 we can simplify the problem to 3^(x-2)=5. apply log base 3 to both sides gets simpler answer

factor out 3^x on left hand side gives 3^x(1+1)=90
3^x(2)=90
3^x=45
xlog3=log45
x=log45/log3 or log(base3)45. ( log of 45 base3)

"Τhe most difficult problem" ......that is a joke , you do not even need paper to solve it. Remember 45=3^2×5 and you need no logarithms for that. Nothing intriging
