At lot of these reminds mr of those super cheap mock busters of a popular animated film. I asked my grandma when I was 7ish, and she gave me a sonic tiger hand-held. Seriously, after playing sonic heroes for the first time, the only fun I got out of that hand-held was smashing it howtobasic style

The reason why there were so many of these and everybody bought them was because of how dirt cheap they were at the time, the one I had was only $3, now comepare that the Gameboy at the time the retailed for $90 plus whatever game you bought it with and the extra batters you needed. For reference 2 AA batteries gave the Gameboy 20 hours of life, where as the tiger handheld that used lithium coin batteries, because of the crude technology it consumed much less power, and my tiger lasted 3 months before it died on me
you strap this console onto your head and look into the screen within is another dimension. a dimension of empty ideas, stiff animations, and nauseating visuals. you’re moving into a world that makes you question why are you even trust a tiger electronics to make a worthwhile product to begin with. you just crossed over into 15:57
