Trade show coming up in the midwest - be nice to see everything my 1/2 ton can tow in 1 spot!. hopefully can make our decision soon and hit the road early spring!. Josh's reviews are extremely helpful and the 22MLS is really nice. do you know if it has a curtain by the bedroom or option for 1 ?

I come for the amazing RV showcases, I stay for the Short Circuit references! 😂
I can't tell you how many times to this day I'll still randomly say "your momma was a snowblower!" 😂😂😂
This is an AWESOME couple's camper. I don't care for having the entrance right next to the bed and I personally prefer a true couch instead of theater seats, but it really feels like nitpicking when they've done such a great job on 98% of it. 👍😍

We love and use our 2023 22MLSWE (Western edition) often, from weekend trips to 8-9 day multi-State outings. Nice that the front storage compartment was opened up and created more walk around bedroom space, but, ugh... another hot vent added under the awning area (limits seating area, and scares the dog when the heater starts up). The front window doesn't do anything for us, we prefer our solid front wall. I like the shoe cubby under the dinette, we really like our full length dinette drawers for storing kitchen appliances (looks like the shoe cubby and water heater shortened them now). The kitchen sink swap is throwing us, we like ours on the left so it's more usable in road mode (we can fit a standard 13 gallon kitchen trash can under our sink). I'm 6'4" and a 'relatively' fit 230 lbs and I'm comfortable in the bathroom and shower. Nice to see they kept all of the bathroom countertop space and cabinets. We like bath towel hooks, that bar looked pretty small for two full sized towels. The theater seats are surprisingly comfortable, and the tv is in a great spot... we like that it doesn't obstruct the window. Heating/cooling is very capable... our max hi/lo outdoor temps are 95 and 26, and no issues maintaining inside thermostat set temps. Nice to see the suspension upgrade... we installed the MORyde system with 1/2" shackles and wet bolts. Yes, your propane tanks shrunk! We have the 400 watt solar package, two lithium batteries (200 Ah total), and a 2K inverter, so running a coffee pot or hair dryer plugged in one of the labeled inverter outlets is really nice while boondocking. Double check your listed holding tank capacities... ours is 54 gallons fresh, but, 38 gallons each for gray and black, not 30 gallons that you show... unless confirmed they shrunk, too! Road mode is really fantastic... so many times we plan our stops knowing we have access to the bathroom, sink for washing hands, our lunch is kept cool in the fridge, and we have a comfortable dinette to relax for a bit to eat/review maps/etc. Nice review and glad to see this camper is still doing so well. I'll add that it's easy to tow on the road, and really maneuverable (get the rear back-up camera installed) in gas stations/grocery store parking lots/campgrounds/etc.. I'm towing ours with a 2023 Ford F-150 crewcab XLT 4WD shortbed with the 3.5L ecoboost, 10-speed auto, 3.55 gears, with an Equalizer hitch and Firestone airbags. Cheers! Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL

Josh out of so many of the ones that you have done in the past I really like this floor plan. Not only that but in road mode I like the idea that you can still move around without killing yourself to try to jump over stuff lol. And the way that they are sectioning off the plumbing and wiring is definitely a winner. The thought of having even a minor leak and having it damage so many components has always been a worry for me whenever it comes to choosing a camper. But this one is definitely one of my favorites when it comes to the half ton series of trucks to be used to tow it. Although my Tacoma wouldn’t tow it the halftime we plan on getting definitely would. So keep on rocking those RVs buddy. I’m gonna find the perfect one yet with your reviews Josh 😁

    Thanks for the great video.
I love the drawers in the bedroom since we need a place to put socks and underwear.
And the suspension upgrade is very nice.
I’m debating with myself we should have a private bedroom like 25MLE or 25RDS. But 22MLS will be my choice if we decided not to need a private bedroom.
Two things I’ve recently noticed is that many travel trailer’s dining area do not have an electric outlet and that many sofa areas do not have USB plug-in ports (some have only wireless charger which is not useful if you want to use the phone while charging).
I’m planning to use the dinette as a workstation which need an electric outlet for a laptop and a monitor and checking SNS with my phone sitting on couch rather than watching TV. Running long extension cords is not pretty.
I hope Cougar will add an electric outlet at dining areas and USB plug-in charging ports if there isn’t one there yet.

I do content creation and I work in the dinette. My partner prefers a free standing table and chairs, I hate the lost storage benches. But I can keep him happy with theater seating. This would work well for us. The only thing I worry about with this layout in every brand is the toilet space. Also, we prefer a true queen bed. Those few inches of storage are more important to us on the sides. And, we actually like each other, so we don’t need a giant bed! 😂

Thank you for showing. Earlier models had the sink on the left which I liked because it made the two counters adjacent, but I appreciate you showing why they moved it and it makes sense. Push and Pull! With everything else they added, I'm surprised they didn't add an inverter stock. Finally, I don't understand the inner dock. We ordered one in July and a 2025 is what came in. Like the sidewall changes and interior drawers. Disappointed the In Command was gone as we wanted to monitor Temps and AC for our pup. Also disappointed that the propane tanks were changed to 20s as the on demand uses more propane compared to a 6 gallon electric/propane heater. Also there is not an easy way to do a fresh water fill if you’re using water jugs. Ours has a different speaker system which is Bluetooth only with no radio or DVD😢. Currently we can’t use the speakers with the TV.

I love this camper! Love the dinette; love the kitchen ❤; love the king bed; love the recliners.
Two things I would like to see:
    * More storage. I would give up some kitchen cabinet space for a storage closet for blankets, clothes, etc.
    * small patio or rack on back to haul bikes, paddleboard, etc.

I should have mentioned, we currently have a NOBO 19.2 couples camper and we love it. But we want a non-Murphy bed, a dinette, lounge chairs, and more roomy kitchen - this does all that!
But we’ve rarely found other campers that have the storage of a NOBO 19.2. It’s hard to beat.

I have to say, I am so impressed with this camper. I love the layout. I love the fact they put drawers under the table and under the bed. I have a Montana 3793RD and just recently I purchased a Forest River Wildwood FSX (because a girl can not have too many campers and I needed something smaller than my fifth wheel, that I can tow on my girls trips that I do).Any way I have great storage in my Montana and drawers aren't really necessary but in the Wildwood FSX...Dear God... there is so little storage and what it does have is almost impossible to get to. It really is not worth the hassle to use them.

This model is still on the top of my list. Every year they’re making it a little bit better.👍 The few things I would like to see changed are…
    1. High volume ceiling vent fans in both vents. At least as a factory option.
    2. Lose the skylight in the shower since it already has good height and just put a nice bright flat LED panel in there with good lighting. This would eliminate a potential leak point not to mention a thermal rat hole.
    3. As an option, I would like to see them match ember‘s largest solar option on the 201FBQ (my second choice). 1200 W of solar and two 270 amp hour lithium batteries.
As to your shower door question, I have mixed feelings. Yes there’s always a chance for the glass door to break, especially if you forget to latch it down before traveling. But should it get water stained from high iron content or high mineral content water, I think you can use a little harsher cleaners on the glass. Then you can the plastic Shower curtain that rolls up.
Thanks for all the hard work you put into these Josh and thank you new editor for me while you’re at it.

Great couples travel trailer from the door back. We camp for 3 months in the winter in our 29 foot couples camper. You really need a private bedroom. Curtains would be OK, but a bedroom with a door makes it easy for people that don't always go to bed or wake up at the same time. The without a door is a deal killer.

I still believe this model needs two air conditioners because in the South, the blazing heat with sun beating down, it can get toasty inside. IMO, 440 watts of solar with an inverter is the way to go because when boondocking, there MUST BE hot coffee in the morning.

They finally got rid of the carpet and added drawers to the bedroom area! Those were two of the things that I really hated about the Cougar version of this model. Too bad they didn't do it sooner.
I like the dinette table over the pedestal we have in our GD 22MLE. This should be easier to convert to a bed and not matter the quality of the pedestal shouldn't have that pedestal wobble.
The big pass-through storage doors are a good improvement. They would allow us to store our Weber Q grill without having to remove the lid first.
I'll stop here but they did a great job on the update.

For us as senior citizens they fail in 3 areas. 1) The entry stairs . First step is to tall. Think bad knees and hips. They need to think ADA compliant for elderly couples. 2) the front storage intrudes to much into the bedroom making it hard to make the bed. 3) There needs to be a table and chair option no questions asked. Of course the furnace would need to be relocated. Probably easy to do. Just my opinion and some are deal killers.

A number of neat features, like the isolated docking cubby, but not a fan of the floorplan. 1st, get the poop station away from the food prep station. 2nd, needs a wall separating the bed from the living area. 3. I'd want a slide with the dinette and sofa together and the entertainment across from them so everyone can watch the game. 4. As I said, sofa, or start putting the the cup holders in the outside arm so the "couples" can sit without the divider and 5. on the subject of couples, a 60 x 80 queen with more hanging locker space would work better - at least in our world.

My Cougar 24SABWE with propane (prob not full), 2 batteries, and a full pass thru is around 750-800lbs tongue weight depending on factors. Weight in the rear, like 3 bikes on the hitch, and take some off the front for example. This floor plan is awesome. I'd consider this if it was out when I got our 24SABWE. I love the kitchen, that alone would make me consider this over what we have. But I also really love our bedroom. We can close the doors and just heat that area at night if needed with a small 300 watt heater in the PacNW.

When our teenage High school kids are out of the nest, this is the camper that I want for my wife and I. I think it is the perfect size for state park hopping. I would like to see laminate countertops come back for the “budget line” of campers. Our first 2010 Forest River Serria had them. Our new GD 27BH has these thermafoil tops and I’m just not a fan.

    • @JoshtheRVNerd
      @JoshtheRVNerd  2 месяца назад

Thermofoil and laminate counters are the same thing btw. They just handle their edges differently
The problem isn't thermofoil. It's the industry's drive to build everything for less money which means they're using a worse glue

    • @ckonthebay1950
      @ckonthebay1950 2 месяца назад

@ I have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. Thermafoil and laminate like Formica are two different things. Thermafoil is a thin plastic sheet that is heated and then vacuumed formed over the mdf substrate. Laminate such as Formica is a much thicker sheet of material that is applied with contact adhesive to the substrate and the back of the laminate then applied, rolled out, and trimmed with a trim router. The laminate is much less sensitive to heat and impact damage than the thermafoil. You just can’t get the fancy ogee style edge with the laminate. But yes these manufacturers are trying to build them as cheap as possible, and not necessarily cheap as in poor quality just not ideal materials is certain areas. This is also to make these units as lightweight as they can also. It’s all about the bottom line which i understand from a business standpoint. I can only compare the last camper I had for almost 14 years to this new one I have had for about 7 months. Anyway thanks for taking the time to respond. I have been watching your channel for years. I think back since around 2012 or so. Always enjoy your videos. Hope you and your family have a nice thanksgiving.
