Easier to run this on an aux send, then automate the send depending on whether the guitar actually needs that kind of low end in that particular part of the song
Grindcore bands with the guitar, drums, and vocals lineup and no bassists have been doing this for decades. That’s why Pig Destroyers Terrifyer sounds so heavy.
I recommend you look into an instrument called "bass guitar." They've been around for a long time and they're specifically built for the thing you're trying to accomplish.
Something I've done the last few months is double the guitar tracks maybe triple each one and eq them all differently for each section of the song. It's different than just boosting those parts on one track. You can process differently and get a chuggy track, a good sustain track and a good tone track.
just means that you get both signals going into the amp. So you get the pitched down and normal octave signal at the same time, basically making guitar sound like its got an octaver on it
deep low end that you're going to high pass later anyway to make room for bass...yeah, genious *facepalm* just throw out the bass already, nobody can even hear it anymore these days, i doubt that it's even there, except for like 2 or three bands that don't distort the fck out of their bass and actually make it audible in the mix and have it do its job. i feel for bassists in modern metal.
@@voidahl1667 yeah i have heard of those, i've been producing music for a while. i was talking about something else, maybe i didn't get my point across well enough or you didn't understand what i meant
Ive come acrossed a few videos on tone on this page. I still have the same opinion. I think all of this overworking the tone is reallly unnecessary. I truly believe if the tone was just correct at the source from the beginning then all this wouldnt be necessary. Listeners arent listening to the tone, unless youre just producing for artists man. Listeners dony care about those kinda details honestly, they care about good vocals and a good instrumental. This little tone adjustment wont make or break a mix. Maybe its a style thing, i feel like lack luster guitars dont matter as long as the rest of the mix is great. Just see it as unecessary steps that couldve been handled at the source.
Buster really likes that broken crunchy sound
sometimes you come across a tip in shorts like this thats really worth its weight in gold. This is badass.
Isn’t it called the “Korn” trick?
I've never hear of that where can I waych more about this technique?
Eheh, this is what I used in my band for 3 years with analog pedals

Bass guitar has entered the chat
Been doing that on vocals for years.
Great tool to use.
We need more *THALL guitar tone 🔥🤘*
When you can't play anything melodic you start doing this 😂
KNOCKED LOOSE CALLED TWICE, SHOULD I TAKE A MESSAGE?

ok boomer
@russelw.6288 Whats a boomer?
I don’t think you know who that is
@satanistruth666 You've clearly mistaken me for someone that cares who he is.
This doesn’t sound the same as bass does in the mix silly
I Ben doing that for years😂😂
So do you send to a bus and then apply it to that?

yeah im gonna mix that with the tse audio and its gonna be brutal nice parallel chugz
Brooooo great tip
I’ve been doing something like that with Little Alterboy pitched down an octave.
S'mine now ❤
Those headphones though...hd800s. Would you say for us commoners the hd490pros will be decent?
So R bass for guitar?
The title says "don't steal" and the thumbnail says steal. So which is it?
This is just Sanguissigabogg
Yea but dnt we eq everything out of the low at I think 80 of the guitar y do u put it back in and take away from the bass fitting into the mix
How does it sound amped when gojira amp and cab is turned off ? Shouldn’t it be pitched DI sound then
So either the amp is in other plugin or the amp is getting the signal from already amped track
this kind of tone needs to be banned as its really boring
How do you do that and get the bass to sit right?
Here's the kicker! You don't
no such thing as too much lfe
What does running in parallel do?
Just sounds clearer, a bit like bass splitting but for ye olde low octave sounds for guitar.

Isnt what bass player a used for 😭😂
Can anybody get creative in standard tuning anymore
Its not new, but its nice anyway

can't imagine being this upset about produced sound
Have you heard of dynamic eq and sidechaining the bass to other instruments? It's going to sound different than having just the bass in the full mix.
Depend on the band but bass seems to often take the sub frequencies and then thicken up the guitars in the mids.

@@xradical89x You must have shitty ears or be a shit producer, or both.
I been doing that for over 20 years

what about the bass guitar?
Doesn’t sound good. Check your ears. This is not tone.
useless if you had a bassist in the band
