Becoming a civil servant is a dream for many. Lakhs of aspirants appear for the tough UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) but only a few make the cut.
So how would life change if one moved from a corporate job to becoming an IAS Officer after clearing UPSC CSE?
We have with us Anu Kumari, who secured AIR 2 in UPSC CSE 2017. She decided to quit her corporate job and serve the nation by clearing the UPSC CSE. She is an inspiration for all the women of our country who have decided to pursue their dreams in the field they want to flourish in.
Civil services bring job security, which is what is believed by a large number of people in our country. For another section of people, it is believed that civil services will bring them power and will elevate their social status. And finally, there's another section of people who want to clear this prestigious competitive exam to be able to serve the needy with basic amenities, and also to be able to increase the standard of living of all citizens of the country.
This series will be a sneak-peak into the life of the Officers on Duty - what happens on a day-to-day basis, what are the challenges faced, how they are creating an impact? and so on.
Also, you will get to meet trainees and recruits who have started their training to become IAS officers. The processes and the amount of effort they have to give in after acing the exam to reach their end goal are described to the dot in these series.
The discussions and interviews with such experts will help you understand the journey from the UPSC exam to the posting of an IAS officer and what all challenges they face in this career option dreamt by all UPSC aspirants. The journey of aspirants and the strategies they have used to crack the civil services is something that we all have heard about. Now, it’s also time to watch and understand what these civil servants have to go through in order to serve the citizens of our country. Their daily routines in which they balance their family life as well as their professional life, their role as public servants, their responsibilities, and the tips to crack UPSC CSE will be shared by them, find out all about the Life of an IAS Officer and more.

Well, it definitely is inspiring but ma'am has said that she has left her corporate job bcz of long working hours. On the other hand, in the same series ( officers on duty), IAS Saumya Pandey, she kinda explained an officers day wherein she has said that it's basically a 9-9 working hours and moreover it's a 24*7 duty! Contradicting, no? Anu Ma'am has left her high paying ( more than double salary) job and that too for more working hours.
@@antrec361 Indeed , but I think when someone gets a desired job/service for which they are willing to give their everything , working hours barely matters to them then. And regarding Anu Ma'am leaving her corporate job , it might be one of the many reasons not a sole reason to pick UPSC over other exams.

@@shubh_chaudhari Also it's not same for all officer.. Because Aditya Vikram Hirani 2017 IAS of WB cadre said in local channel in WB its more like 10 to 5 .. So i think may be it's not same for all cadre and all officees

@@PRIYAVERMA001 Priya ji. Har society ki baat alag hoti hai. Jaise gaon me jyada importance ladki ki shadi kr k settlement me hoti hai. Sheher jaise mumbai vahaan ladkiyon ko 9-5 decent office job dene me lag jate hai. Problem ye hai, sabko ladkiyaan ghar me chaiye, ya kuch tareek se paise kamaye. Lekin unhe kya krna hai uspe koi dhyan nahi deta. Isi liye sare important posts India k Men hi hai.

@@dpa7451 mostly in Kerala, people shift to Trivandrum for the preparation, anyway I don't know any reading rooms or library in Kochi

At 1 AM at night I was just thinking about future how my Preparation going on as I skipped my this attempt due to my PhD course work I thought to listen a song to sleep but thank God youtube recommended me Anu mam's video and I just clicked it and listened the whole. It made my eyes tearful thinking that how she managed to do in sitting in a village. If she can do that I am in ORN itself why can't I.

I saw Anu mam 1st time on richa aniruddh mam's show.When I feel low in my life I used to see that video how she tackled that situation.Really most awaited video after her posting.Sab ki journey toh alag hai par anu mam's struggle and her success story gives a lots of inspiration to many aspirants.Mein bahat baar RUclips or Instagram pe search kiya tha par kuchh pata nhi chal rha tha.But a huge thanks to unacademy to bringing back anu mam on this platform.I think Richa aniruddh mam ki show unki journey ka part 1 video tha aur ye part 2 .
