- I open a lot of product for this channel, but today I get to open THE product. This was one of the very first high-end boxes that I ever opened as a young adult, and 13 years later I get to relive the experience. 2006 - 2010 Topps Sterling were some of my favorite sets from that time period and my friend @ChiCityPulls was able to get his hands on some boxes.
Today we're ripping one of the most sought after themes from those years - Murder's Row. With chances at cut autographs and bat barrels, this is a hobby dream for me. Enjoy.

Amazing . Pieces of history
I bought a case of both of these when new. They were very expensive for cards back then. I bought them with the idea of opening half of them and selling the rest unopened. Well, guess what? I could not stop breaking those boxes. Fantastic product that many collectors may not know exists. Been buying boxes and cases since 1978 both for resale and my PC. This product was one of the most fascinating of them all.
I am curious what did you pay for them, I you don't mind me asking?
Well, I am old and 2009 is a long time ago.lol. I think it may have been $80 a box. My mom only paid 5c for my first pack! It was a 5c pack '57 Topps baseball.
Chi city pulls/lively collector and yourself are two of the most knowledgeable and genuinely good spirited people when opening! Its really a breath of fresh air! I really gotta give you buys both credit for being true collectors.

I'm old enough to remember when Upper Deck put the first babe Ruth relic card in packs. As I recall, it was a game used bat and it was numbered, of course, out of 3.
Years later, I've still never pulled a Ruth relic. But I did, in a group break, get a Lou Gehrig quad relic /3. Despite it being probably my 3rd or 4th most valuable card,first thing I did when I got it was rub the jersey. I'm a sucker, and always have been, for baseball history, and Lou Gehrig has always been my favorite historical player. If you get the time, look at his numbers from 1938. He was, at the time, literally dying and having his body break down as a result of ALS, he would get diagnosed early in the following season. What Gehrig did in 1938 is, imo, the single most impressive year any athlete has ever had. I look at what he was doing and I am completely in awe. He was truly an inspiring figure.
Just some of his stats that year:
107 Walks against 75 Strikeouts
Slash, including OPS of .295/.410/.523/.932
132 OPS+ Dying, he was 32% better than an average hitter in 38
32 Doubles, 6 Triples and 29 Homers
114 RBI and 115 Runs
4.7 WAR
The guy was the definition of a cheat code.

I totally know how special that Ruth is. I pulled fabrics of the game Ruth back in 2001-2002 couldn’t believe what I had pulled biggest hit ever. Congratulations
