If you’re inspired by JRR Tolkien, you’re in good company. He’s 3,000 years of lore and myth, the classical education you wished you’d had, the English-language epic we needed, all packaged into a story that a child can understand but an adult will still find new depth in.

I draw heavy inspiration from “Weird Al” Yankovic, he’s the reason why I want to get into music, and I will never apologize for that. Similar to Zepplin, Al doesn’t appear very enthusiastic about his earlier music, but I’m glad that he found inspiration from his family car at 16, because it led him down the path of success that became an inspiration to me. “Find your inspiration, and never apologize for it” is the best piece of advice you could give on this topic, so thank you, that will certainly stick with me.

i saw this video at such a good time. i had been feeling creatively bankrupt, stressed from my last year of college and wondering where all my hobbies had gone. a few months ago i played the video game omori, and it stirred something in me that i had not felt in years. the way it told its story so masterfully moved me. i had a drive, a passion to once again create art. i now have picked up drawing once again and have been practicing almost daily! inspiration is so important to the creative process.

So I have to spend so much time trying to unlock that perfect combination of title and thumbnail. Sucks. Was a lot easier 3-4 years ago.

Good question! I go more in depth on this in my Q&A video from a few years back. Basically I wanted something that would show that I'm talking about more than just film. And I was also terrible at graphic design at the time and so I thought picking an animal would be easier to design a logo for. Then I thought the alliteration of Entertain and Elk sounded nice.

I have all three movies downloaded now in 4k. Each movie is about 125 GB, and it is the extended versions. (each movie is about 3-4 hours long)
You cannot find it in better quality.

You want some serious Tolkien influence in their musical work, check out Blind Guardian, particularly their concept album Nightfall in Middle-Earth, based on just a fraction of The Silmarillion.
It's a shame to hear Plant look back at his lyrics as he does. It sounds like he's ashamed he wasn't singing something more "meaningful", but as you note of your own youthful, independent creations in college, our attempts to be "meaningful" when we're young are often pretentious instead, lacking the wisdom and worldly experience that comes with age and living. I think it's better to look back on lyrics that expressed a love of something like Tolkien's fantasy, blending it into your own vivid tales and other inspirations, that can deliver a sense of nostalgia in later years rather than looking back at reckless, foolhardy beliefs in shame at your own ignorance.

Dude, this is the third time you've changed the thumbnail. If you want to make sure you get the number of views that match the amount of work you put in, stop doing minority topics. Between one-tenth and five percent of the population listens to early music. Within that percentage, a small portion listens to old rock and within that percentage, a small portion listens to Led Zepplin. Then you have to go the same way for those who like the movie, those who are interested in it, those who do research and those who identify with the style of this movie. And finally, those who like this movie but don't like Led Zepplin won't listen because of Led Zepplin. And those who don't like this movie but like Led Zepplin won't listen to this movie because of this movie. The portion of the population that is interested is far too small for you to be satisfied. So appreciate your work and the effort you put into it, but don't expect the public to be so enthusiastic about a video like this! Good Job and we are so glad to have people like you on RUclips !🤘🏼
