Replacing the filter material on your Ducted air conditioning system is easy.

If you bought your filter material through our online shop, you would of received some cut to size filter material and a roller tool which I’ll explain later.
If you haven’t bought your filter replacement through our online shop, please go to www.alphaomegaairconditioning.com.au. You will find a menu for our online shop, and from there you will be able to purchase a cut to size filter for your ducted system. We also sell other products for your air conditioning system, so get on there and have a look.
Ok the only other tool we need before we start is a flathead screw driver and maybe a Stanley knife.
Once you have taken out the old filter, find a safe flat area you can work on, we have chosen this table as it is easy to show you.
To take out the old filter material we need remove the rubber bead that is holding it in place. To do this we use the flat head screw driver to dig it out. Once it is out, just start pulling it like this until its is all out.
Ok now we have the old material out, now we are going to put the new material in.
To do this we need to line up the new filter over the open frame. Once it is lined up grab the beading we took out and start from a -corner like this. Now we want to push the beading into the track of the frame using either the screw driver or the roller.
Once you have got a start, get your roller to push the beading into the track, just as you see us doing it in this video.
When you get to the end you can use the back of the roller or use the screw driver to push down the last bit.
Now if you want to make it tidy, you can use a stanley knife to trim around the edges, this can be a bit tedious and time consuming so I’m not going to do it now.
