@@LoneVaultWanderer Thank You Very Much! Because I've saved my marksman syringer. After Unsuccessfully trying it once! I do want to ask though. Which locations. Would be the best spawn locations for the Bloatflies in Nuked zones? Are there any set locations?
Don't make the same mistake ? 1st.Get a decent amount of High Radiation Fluids.Glowing Mass & Hardened Mass. Before you even think off picking any flora / flowers.
Nice to know. I just dumped about 100 inert flux earlier but had no idea what it was or where it came from just knew it was taking up space I needed. I haven't played long and still have a long way to go and a lot to learn.
I nuke Morgantown whenever I’m trying to farm high radiation fluids, glowing mass, or hardened mass. If you get the airport in the nuke zone then you can trigger Collision Course event and spawn a bunch of scorched that drop those ingredients. Also south-east of the Tattoo Parlor there’s a farm that has a ton of violet flux.
That syringer trick is genius. I think in general I need to pay attention to the syringer more. The only thing I would add that you didn't explicitly mention is that glowing mass, hardened mass, and high-radiation fluids do NOT spoil, unlike flux, so you can stockpile those if you so choose in your stash if you've harvested all the flux in the area you nuked.
Haha thanks mate! Yeah I thought I implied it by saying that only flux spoils, but will be more specific next time. Sometimes it's hard in long guides like this - there's a lot to mention!
I’m glad you mentioned Morgantown, it has a great amount of Cobalt which my Commando build eats up. It also has a great spawn rate. One of the problems of farming flux and their components when you don’t have Fallout First is WEIGHT. Each component weights 1, so if I have 20 of each in storage, that’s 60 pounds and I’m always pushing my top weight storage camp limit. So I convert most of it to bullets. Harpers Ferry is also a great site! Great guide. So that’s why I can never find decent weapons in player vending, they’re on sale on social media groups.... rats. Having Good with Salt is good to take your time in your farming. Holy crap, the blowfly method is BRILLIANT Bloody Mess can make looting bodies challenging.
Thanks so much Jeff! Really glad you think it's a good guide. I appreciate it :). That's a good shout about the weight too. Glowing and hardened mass especially add up
This is a great video. I watched it several months ago but my character was too low to understand. Now, at a higher level I ran into a situation where I need glowing and hardened mass and I remembered this video. I understand it now. Very helpful. Thanks.
a couple things i could add. In my experience Hi radiation fluids has a slightly smaller drop rate than the masses, but it also seems to have a higher drop rate with scorched, so morgantown airport with collision course is a good place to farm Hi radiation fluids. Morgantown is great for colbalt like u said but its also almost as good as the whitespring with glowing ones, and if you can get back on the beat to trigger even more glowies, and any fissures will spawn a nice stream of scorched. Also ANY nukezone will spawn ultracite glowing rocks, usually there is a random rock that can be found that will not go away if you mine it. You will not pick up more ultracite, but if you spam it, it will continue to spawn scorched 4-6 at a time indefinitely!!! until the nuke burns out. this is hands down the best wat to farm ingredients its also hardest to pull off because the ultracite is not always there and thats only if you find it, ive been able to find it at the white spring, across from top of world, and on road behind monongah mine so far, each time i had close to 100 hi radiation fluids. Enemies will only drop ingredients while the nukezone is active BUT you can farm flux AFTER the nuke disipates for a while, so i will only farm enemies until its gone, then run around and grab flux once its gone. Another tip is to keep respawning enemies by logging out of fo76 and then back in. If you are on a public, anchor yourself by being on a team. If you are on a private server, your server stays if you log off for 5-10 mins. So launch nuke, log off, login with alt, log back out, log back in with 1st character and enemies should respawn
Cobalt is the hard one. The mountain around the Colossal Problem event has cobalt but you have to comb the whole mountain. If you are lucky and someone decides to Nuke Morgantown, that has the most cobalt. The rest is easy and you can find tones of it down where the Scorch Beast Queens spawn in the Cranberry bog.
Cobalt is one of the easiest ones to get you just gotta keep jumping a server until a bombs been dropped in the same area that you fight Earl or near the metal Dome. You’ll find plenty of cobalt right there, but you got to keep hopping servers until it’s been nuked in that specific area or any specific area you’re looking for, trust me it works. I’ve been doing it for years, but if you’re a team player or like to play on teams a lot, this method is not for you because like I said you keep jumping servers and you will leave your team individually on my own.
Also use your green thumb perk so you’re getting twice as much flora. I’ve got a specific build where I’m a heavy gunner. I do that massive loads of damage but I also got perks for carrying weight and everything else travel the whole 9 yards.
I remember (in the beginning months of FO76) tramping around a nuked Whitespring trying to gather ingredients and flux to build a shielded vault suit. I had to figure out everything on my own. Watched some of the streamers back then who didn't even know what flux was and probably still don't.
Great video.. another way without using the syringer is to find a glowing ultracite vein.. once you collect from it , it will spawn from 2-6 scorched at a time and you can just stand by the vein until you are done farming mass and radiation fluids.. I come across them quite regularly in nuke zones all across the map
My favorite method is to farm the two types of masses and the high radiation fluids off the enemies and then collect the flux another time, it gives you more time to find more flux plus you don't need to find the other materials before the flux runs out, you just need to be fair with it and don't craft more flux than you need.
Love the videos man, You're one of the people I watch because you have such clear audio and edits, on top of you know what you're talking about. I just play casually but ive never seen anywhere but the scorch queen and the earle fight locations nuked, like never at all, ive never dropped a nuke myself as i still dont really understand what i need to do to decrypt the silo codes
I like the Bloatfly idea! Thanks (and to T0nik)! I usually locate an ore vein that's been turned to Ultracite and continually "mine" it. It will spawn 4-5 Scorched that will congregate around the ore node. Sometimes a Scrochbeast spawns above too. I did this at White Springs today. Note that some areas with many ore nodes may turn to Ultracite, but will be depleted when you mine it. There's always one in a nuke zone that can be continually mined though. I don't see this method mentioned much.
Agree, this is my go to. On a team with multiple players in the area 5+ will spawn each time you mine it. Key is to stay out of direct sight from where they spawn from and they run right up to you for an easy kill. After an hour the meat piles look like a radiation rumble slaughter.
the best idea is to have someone in the group to drop and then come back in this will respond enemies again. you can do this for about a 2 hours, then get the flux

I changed my camp ally to the cook lady and saw she has the recipe if you use her cooking stove in your camp. Saw many other reci0es i hadnt recalled seeing before as well. Guess it is her perk by using her.
If you are trying to go for Cobalt, Specifically, Best place i found was to nuke near Mama Doce's. Make sure you get the radius to barely encompass VTU and keep the Morgantown Station just outside the radius.
@@LoneVaultWanderer they are called Mutated Flora: {cobalt} for example they are paper but it helped me a lot before videos started popping up in the olden days of 76
Personally as someone who cannot stand the thought of doing nuke silos I opt for farming the SBQ nuke zone (or anywhere folks nuke). I don't do anything more than run around collecting the flux and killing enemies for the other ingredients (and ensure I don't get over encumbered) then head back to a chem bench and craft what I can (using super duper) roughly every 30 mins until the nuke zone disappears. Then I either hold on to all the flux if I jump servers to find another nuke zone, or discard the flux.

I recently found a Zealot Gauss Rifle and really want to Prime it. The raw flux is not a problem, but the mass and fluids... My problem is, every time I go to a recent blast zone, all the mobs are already dead. I don't know if it was due to the nuke or because other players came before me. But I don't usually find anything alive, with luck just a bunch of random creatures that barely drop irradiated meat. A very effective metod to farm mass and fluids that i found is claiming a workshop inside a blast zone and wait for the defense mission: All the mobs that spawn will have a chance to drop mats. But normally that is not the situation since people tends to drop nukes in very specific areas related to quests (A Colossal Problem o Scorched Earth), or by other reasons, many far away from workshops, so is a very rare opportunity.

Person license I don’t really play in teams too often other than events. I just server hop till I find the right nuke zones. I server hop all the time. That’s how I go to different camps to look for weapons and mods and stuff. I don’t have that’s how I fusion cores and everything else I jump servers.
If your looking for an easier way to farm for the stuff to stabilize the flux drop a nuke just below the top of the world then go inside of westek all the enemies inside of enclosed areas turn into radiated enemies, westek you can kill all the super mutations and dogs it does tend to make them a bit harder to kill but worth it for xp, caps, legendary weapons as well as high radiation fluids harden mass and glowing mass kill al the super mutants on the ground floor then ride the elevator to the basement kill al those super mutes then back down and the ones on the ground floor respawning then leave the building for a few minutes and do it all over again
A better way is to go onto your private server, nuke white springs, clear it and loot everything you need, then fast travel somewhere other than white springs, log out, come back, go clear white springs again. You can get like 10-12 full clears of the golf resort and walk out with enough supplies that you dont have to even think about farming flux for months
If you have fo1st it would be faster to get glowing mass and such by killing the ghouls in the golf club house and then leaving and re-entering your sever to respawn them.
Unfortunately with White Springs, like myself, a lot of people have camps around it. People might get a little upset with you. I went around Fissure Site Prime twice and never saw one enemy. It's too bad the map doesn't show you people's camps.
Although not the ideal nuke site for fluorescent flux, a good place to look for fluorescent flux if someone nuked Fissure Site Prime is the nearby sundew forest, just look down to the ground and look for nuked glowing fungus
People can easily nuke your camp if they want to by looking at the regular map and just targeting that part of the map. If you really don't want your camp nuked then I'd suggest you move into the green safe zone :)
Hahaha 🤣 idk why I laughed so much when you spawned that 1st bot fly! I’m still absolutely shocked that you can get a mod to do that?! Lol I’ve broke thousands of pipe rifles down but I don’t ever build them but that’s really useful to get more fluids .

Let me know how you go! Thanks Sharon.
how he do to reduce lil bit of radiation when use a stimpack??? i want to do that
The amt of flux I’ve thrown away without knowing what it was still haunts me to this day 😂
So aimlessly running around grabbing shit is the proper way to collect?
I got a base over the road at the entrance to westek that floats just look for nocturnalasault camp
Hit tanagra town to farm hardened mass, glowing mass and high fluids!
Does your luck effect the spawn rate of the bloatfly?
I don't believe so, no.
Hey Lone. Nice vid and brilliant map thank you.. cobalt here I come..lol
Haha you're welcome Damian! Let me know how you go :)
The 3 nukes 5 events way is the go to for me. We normally do 3 sets of nukes each day, so 15 events.
That's a lot of nukes, very nice!
I have mappalachia but when I type flux in the search I don't get any results
I’m having trouble accessing the mappalachia link on iOS.
Great video, rule #1 farm in the nuke zone.
Hahaha thanks buddy!
I missed alot those item i didnt know how to used 👍😎
Inert Flux ftw the drink of the gods 👏🏼👏🏼
They fix that "don't accidentally scrap your Hardened Mass" thing?
A better way is to go onto your private server, nuke white springs, clear it and loot everything you need, then fast travel somewhere other than white springs, log out, come back, go clear white springs again.
You can get like 10-12 full clears of the golf resort and walk out with enough supplies that you dont have to even think about farming flux for months
That's true, but not everyone has fallout 1st so I didn't want to make this video only applicable to one group of people
@@LoneVaultWanderer that's a good point. Good looking out!
I have found hardened mass on the sides of trees.
If you have fo1st it would be faster to get glowing mass and such by killing the ghouls in the golf club house and then leaving and re-entering your sever to respawn them.
How are you dealing 310+ damage?
Players can swap characters to avoid nuke cooldown.
For sure. I just always make my videos without assuming that people have multiple characters to use. Many don't out there
@@LoneVaultWanderer yeah agreed..just figured itd be good to know if someone didnt. I wonder if it works on plants too.
For sure!
Unfortunately with White Springs, like myself, a lot of people have camps around it. People might get a little upset with you. I went around Fissure Site Prime twice and never saw one enemy. It's too bad the map doesn't show you people's camps.
My noob ass who just built a camp next to white springs..
Chuckles I am in danger
Yeah, lots of folks camp there. Yesterday it got nuked twice, and I just assumed somebody was pissed at another player. Now I know what's up.
Oh wow this map layout was so different back then lol
Why can’t the green zone be nuked?
I have walked into blast zones 4 times looking for creatures to kill and harvest... I have found 1 radstag......
I need fluorescent... whats the ideal nuke site?
Although not the ideal nuke site for fluorescent flux, a good place to look for fluorescent flux if someone nuked Fissure Site Prime is the nearby sundew forest, just look down to the ground and look for nuked glowing fungus
Whitespring is a good shout. Near the golf courses.
all around the buildings and club house at the whitespring. with greenthumb about 200
I may move my camp( near MT..it got blown away..do campsite show on maps be4 nuking?
People can easily nuke your camp if they want to by looking at the regular map and just targeting that part of the map. If you really don't want your camp nuked then I'd suggest you move into the green safe zone :)
@@LoneVaultWanderer is that Portland? winks
I've only been able to make 'stable flux' not pure. What am I doing wrong?
Stable is the same as pure, it is okay
Whitespring is still a place where farming happens. Someone nuked it today when i was playing with my buddy.
Hahaha 🤣 idk why I laughed so much when you spawned that 1st bot fly! I’m still absolutely shocked that you can get a mod to do that?! Lol I’ve broke thousands of pipe rifles down but I don’t ever build them but that’s really useful to get more fluids .
