Bei diesem Fahrgeschäft handelte es sich um einen klassischen Boots-Darkride mit dem beliebten Piraten Thema. Viele Parks haben sich bei ihren Fahrgeschäften von Disney's "Pirates of the Carribean" inspirieren lassen, so auch Drayton Manor mit der "Pirate Adventure" Themenfahrt.

This ride was a classic boat-themed dark ride with the popular pirate theme. Many parks have taken inspiration from Disney's "Pirates of the Carribean" for their rides, including Drayton Manor with the "Pirate Adventure".

Wasn’t it at the beginning where they would spray some water and it would hit the middle passenger. Looks like this was removed later on. I went on this around 1995 and remember being wet by the water.

@@snowm9043The Pirates of the Caribbean ride opened in 1967. The films were based on the ride, not the other way around. Pirate Adventure was opened as a knock-off of Pirates of the Caribbean to compete with Euro Disney.
