- Alright guys, come along as we ride the Smokies on a fantastic spring day! We'll see some fantastic sites as we begin a leg of the SM500 out of Andrews NC and ride along the Nantahala River and lake. We'll touch on a section of the famous Hwy 129, the tail of the dragon. Thanks for watching!!!

i liked the pace of this ride. it's fun hearing the stories along the way. i also like that you don't get your feelings hurt when someone passes you!
Appreciate you watching man! Just a quick little Saturday ride on a nice day I couldn't let go to waste. Yep, my having something to prove days on a bike are long over lol. I knew them boys were carving corners and I was out to see the sights! That motocross knobby on the front hasn't gained my full trust yet either! Was a fantastic ride! Hope to take the CT125 next time out. Take care man and thanks again for the kind words.
TW on the back of a Samurai! Awesome!
Thanks!!
Best combo ever👍
@Evergreenprospectors that's right! Not sure if you guys knew or not, but Koty and I scooped up 2 nice little 20ac placer claims on the ID/WY border! Hope to take the tdubs out next summer for some panning and exploring!
@PSBEadventures oh sweet, if you make it to sw Washington contact me. I know a lot of trails near our claims out here. There's rv camping there also
@@Evergreenprospectors will do!!
What a ride! Love the views, the pace, the commentary. I would love to explore there, probably even stop a bit depending on my schedule.
Thanks for watching! Much appreciated!
Love the T-dub content. And the CT125 also. Keep up the good work 👍
Glad to hear it and will do! Thanks so much!!!
You chose an excellent area for riding off-road and on-road. Fantastic terrain for fun and views I enjoyed the video
Thanks! Glad to hear it!!!
Rode through right near where I live and ride my TDub around. Love riding the mountain paths just out of Walhalla, Seneca, and Westminster. Love watching your videos and listening to your commentary! Would love to ride if you come back to the oconee area again!
Awesome! We get down that way a good bit! Thanks for watching and appreciate the kind words!
Really enjoyed this video, that’s some beautiful country and those dirt/gravel roads are perfect for dual sport riding. I have a TDub and am wondering what phone and navigation program you use. I have used OSMAnd on an iPhone 12 mini which has worked okay the few times I have used it and it’s free, but I am always wanting to learn from folks with more experience. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide about your nav system.
@jwerner3903 it was a fantastic day for a ride that day for sure! Not too far from home for me and a really nice area. I use the paid version of Gaia GPS. I used the free version for a long time but there is a layer under the paid version called "gaia overland" that shows motorcycle single track and just about every dirt road in the US and Canada. You can watch for it on sale on their IG page.
The shinko 244 is a good tire for the tdub front.

Riding in luxury!!
Don't forget to add "slowly"
I was curious if you are happy with your motorcycle rack/platform? If so what brand is it? I’ve seen mixed reviews on almost every brand I have looked at.
So this is the Harbor Freight 400lb one. It's been pretty good and gave me no issues especially for the money. I've only hauled maybe 300lbs on it. I will say I've used the black widow one and it is by far superior to mine. They are affordable as well and made in the USA I think
@@PSBEadventures okay thanks for the info. My CRF is about the same weight as the TW. I would like to haul my bike to CO and didn’t want to fool with the trailer. Thanks again.
@@doingstuffseeingstuff no problem. This is the one my buddy uses. Bit overkill, but won't have to worry about it at all.

I just bought an '05 TW200 last week and this is exactly the kind of riding I'd like to do. Do you carry extra gas and if you do, what type of container do you use? I'd like to find out what you use since you seem to have a lot of experience.
I have the Clake 2.7gal tank and if I go way off (see my Idaho series) I use the Giant Loop 2.0g Armadillo bag. Keep an eye on the channel, we just got the 3.6gal IMS tank from Procycle to review!!

@@PSBEadventures Great, I'll look into the Armadillo bag -- really nice that it rolls up when empty!
