Throughout the video you might have noticed that there is a very slight camera tilt present on the screen. We get that this might seem a little weird in a video like this, especially without seeing proper context of what happened before it. The idea was to make the earthquakes feel more 'real' by adding a slight screen tilt to the screen (also known as a Dutch Angle), giving the illusion that the facility was actually crumbling down on top of you combined with some changes to how physics react to the game world.
We should have disabled this effect before recording to video to make it seem less confusing / weird. Rest assured, only a small portion of the campaign is like this and options have been added to disable the effect entirely if you please.
Thanks for watching our video and we are looking forward to sharing more soon!

Was it Wesley's idea to put in the DUTCH angle? :P
@@actualFix m...maybe!
It didn't seem like enviroment tilt at all. Just an annoying head tilt
I dunno I kinda like it. Surely we can keep it if we want, yes?
I get it from the firs moment 👍🏻
2255 can't come soon enough!
The waiting will kill me!
Can't wait for your analysis on this game when it comes to Early Access!
@@WAcrobat19 Me neither. Would be a massive honor to have Jarek cover this game.
Agreed! Most of the Realms Deep trailers this year underwhelmed me. But Selaco is a spectacular stand-out title.
Well, at least we'll have Cyberpunk, feature complete, with all promises kept, to keep us distracted ... when it comes out of early access in 2077.
The environment and the way props move around is just so fucking jaw dropping its hard to think this is the same engine that powered doom. Between this and total chaos its just proof you only need creativity to make a immersive world.
It's not exactly the original doom engine entirely but a souped up more modern version that's more powerful than the original since you could do more with it graphically and adding more options. Either way it's absolutely jawdropping how good this looks for gzdoom
I couldn't agree more. The amount of work they have put into this is just monumental, the sound effects, music, atmosphere, voice work, it's all ridiculously good! I can't stop playing the demo and thinking about it while I'm away from the computer lol. This has become my most looked forward to game of recent memory. Can't wait to play the full thing!
The sound design is great, the weapons sound like they have real impact. Its so nice!
Oh yes.

A: Looks great!
B: I love the safe room, sometimes you need a break!
C: Wow that is a lot of sound design! I really like the voice acting.
The safe room reminds me of Resident Evil. Even the music sounds similar. If that's what they were going for, then what a nice homage.
Looking at how polished everything already is, just imagine how awesome the game will be in 2255!
I do hope its just really big joke and its coming next month XD
It's an honor to be working with all of you!
No wonder it’s taking 234 years, that was real quality.
I feel like this game is gonna do with GZDoom what Ion Fury did with Build Engine. I'm definitely going to be comparing the two, and I'm super excited to see how the added flexibility of GZDoom is going to be utilized in this game
I was bored of ion fury before getting into the end game... It was good but too repetitive
The way it shows the main character's eyes and the reflection of the workshop menu gives me metroid prime vibes. Absolutely love it!
I hope this will have a multiplayer with Co-op, Classic Deathmatch, TDM and CTF; I'll spend tons of hours on this, ha!
P.S.: impressive work guys, really.
Man, the UI in the upgrade menu looks smooth. I can't believe this is done in GZDoom.
I love how you can briefly see her own reflection in the screen.
This just looks amazing, the world, the sound design, those upgrade menus. Real beauty on show.
That release date! My great grandkids are gonna LOVE this!

All my favorite games in one It's gaming heavily sad I don't have a pc but if I do get one this is the first game I'm getting
The visuals are good, but the audio design was what really blew me away. The gun sounds alone are better than most games, and Juggernaut's voice gave me those good ol' Sinistar vibes.
Yep I was thinking the same. Sound design is incredibly important when developing fps games and they went above and beyond. Can't really think of many games with sound design this good
And of course the juggernaut is Gianni
Holy shit they are doing miracles with that engine. The lighting effects, reflections, animations aswell, wow.
Also, is it me or they took some inspiration from Resident Evil with that tune in the save room?
I'm keeping and eye on this game for sure.
also inspiration from John Woo movies in that everything in the environment exists to be exploded by bullets :)
@@carljohan9265 goldeneye 007 ,chairs explode
I want this, man. Hearing those soldiers chatter took me right back to when I first played F.E.A.R..
Love that you added that you can see her eyes reflect back on the upgrade screen. Reminds me of metroid prime when the eyes could be seen on the visor. Nice work take my money.
Was wondering if people picked up on that. That was indeed inspired by Metroid Prime!
Glad to be supporting this game on Patreon. Cant wait to play it!
Happy to be supported by you. Thank you *so* much!
Anyone get a Resident Evil vibe from that safe room music? Love it, will definitely be picking this up. :)
I immediately noticed that.
Definitely RE inspired
Dude, the music is killer! I so can't wait to play this...
thanks so much!! can't wait for you all to hear the full OST :D
@@lawrencesteele5701 not gonna lie, 02:22 made me go like, "yeah, im gonna buy this game"
This looks absolutely amazing, need a fun fast paced shooter like this, bring it on
Amazing. I like all the extra animations you guys added like the keycard the avatar holds in front of the scanner.
Realms Deep had a huge amount of titles I'm interested in, but this is by far my #1 wishlist item.
Y'all, it just looks more amazing everytime you post a video. Beyond excited to play it.
Playting the demo rn. The game is perfect. I don't need fancy graphics. Give me old school graphics with modern pace shooting and I'm a happy person.
Confirmed: GZDOOM is not only the engine the Cyberpunk 2077 remaster will use, but is also magic. Looks great!
This looks amazing! Can't wait to get my hands on this.
Looks amazing. Well done!
This art style is just captivating
Wow I really think this games looks awesome! I also really like the way it looks! You should add a brightness option for the lights
Can't wait to play this!
Keep up the amazing work. :D
holy crap, the scripting, the mapping, jesus its all super good~!! this is one of the most impressive doom games i have seen° can't wait to play this!
how did you do the tilted sections of the map?
Loved that the animations give a stop motion vibe
That was the intend! I'm glad you picked up on that vibe
Will buy this as soon as it becomes available. Looks fantastic!
THAT'S how you make a retro-shooter. Amazing job, Selaco team. Can't wait to buy and play it.
the art and gameplay are incredible
Thank you so much!
Those enemy callouts are amazing
Getting some real F.E.A.R. vibes from this game. Which is awesome! F.E.A.R. is one of my favorite FPS games of all time. Looking forward to this.
I've been following this game's development on Twitter for quite some time now. Watching this just increased my hype! Can't wait to finally play it!
You had me at the barrel throw. No, you had me with the first dash and duck. no, you had me at the first kill, no you had me at the roof falling down. what amazing mod, I got to play it.
This looks absolutely fantastic! The strategic combat! Destructible environment! The best game shown at Realms Deep 2021 in my opinion!
I adore the stylized animations.
good lord, this makes me want to play it even more!
This looks awesome guys. If you had not said it is using the GZDoom engine would have never guessed it was using anything but a current day engine.
I'm imagining my sons playing this game and screaming, "I got the Penetrator!" followed by my wife running from the other room screaming, "WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU WATCHING?!?!".
The capabilities of GZD Engine astonish me at every level. It has come such a long way and is capable of so much. Its nice to see people still mastering the 2.5D style to this day.
A lil bit of Doom, lil hit of FEAR, a splash of half life there. And a shit load of fun and atmosphere
I will always cherish how much more an indie dev cares about making an experience than a AAA dev.
Look at that, another throwback fps coming up. Civvie is probably snooping around already.
I can't wait to play this!
Super impressive, seriously hyped for this game!!!
OK this is amazing. Added to steam wish list. will buy when released!
You clever sods!
This looks fantastic, and it's all done with the use of sprites!
Seriously guys, amazing effort, even had me thinking it was Q3E for a moment there
No offence but I don't think you know what Mode 7 is. Mode 7 was a SNES-exclusive system, and not even Doom on the Super NES used Mode 7, let alone Doom anywhere else. You see, there were 8 "modes" on the SNES, starting from 0 and ending in 7. The 7th mode is basically just a background layer rotated and scaled on a scanline-by-scanline basis to create different effects, the effect of the background being rotated and resized being what Mode 7 is, and which you are for some reason confusing with Doom's engine.
@@themysteriousstranger9345i thought doom used mode 7 to create the illusion of a 3 dimensional object through the use of sprites.
In any case, the only genuine 3D being rendered is level geometry with everything else displayed as pre-rendered sprites.
I'm not confusing it with the doom engine, it's just a method of doing things.
it's been over 20 years since these methods were commonplace, and I'm just really amazed at what can actually be done with it.
Edit: mode 7 wasn't even used in the snes port of doom? my whole life is a lie!
Ohh man this has to be my most anticipated game i really can't wait for the demo
Looks awesome!
what a perfect artstyle. I love it~!
The weapon sprites alone are incredibly impressive. I can't wait for this.
Looks like a game that takes all the right inspirations, FEAR, Resident Evil, etc. Can't wait to play.
Sounds like the Doom 3 UAC announcement system.
Definitely my most anticipated game from realms deep. I can't wait! cheers
How the actual...this is gorgeous!
ooooh i really like how the enemies have a bunch of unique voicelines depending on the situation
These guys have 400 voice lines with another batch on the way! It's so much fun
@@SelacoGame I shudder to imagine how long it takes to implement all of them. I don't even know how you got them/Dawn's voicelines to react to specific things so seamlessly!
i really like that safe room music
That nod to the Resident Evil Remake save room theme is just brilliant
Thank you! It's such a great track and I think I'll share the whole track someday.
Hi, composer here, hearing this a lot, and while the similarity is undeniable, I literally had no idea what the RE1 Save Room theme sounded like until I checked it out after seeing a lot of these comments! Either it was in there subconsciously from when I played RE1 as a kid, or the sort of 'peaceful but slightly unsettling arpeggio shifting around' vibe is just perfect for these kind of tracks! If anything I had the Dark Souls 1 Character Creation Screen music in my mind as more of a reference, which is also quite similar (and an absolute VGM classic).
After watching this I'm convinced you guys are fps veterans lol either worked in the industry before or just did a ton of modded games because this game has me more excited than anything else coming out right now. The graphics, sound design, all the polish everywhere is mindblowing. As long as the level design is good then I can't see how this game could be bad
Looking amazing!
The game looks and sounds amazing! 🖤
tryed this game today, really really cool.
this is bioshock level of detail with doom-ish gameplay, pure joy, didn't expected to have so much fun, gg bro
Oh damn! This looks fantastic!
This will be a banger.
This is looking really good its up there with mods like total chaos in visual fidelity
among my top 10 anticipated games for sure, looks and sounds insane!
Idk why but I find boomer shooter's like this extremely satisfying
Game looks fantastic, definitely gonna pick this up.
The Team's outdone themselves. This looks amazing.
WOAH! This is amazing! :O
GZ Doom: Please...there is only so much detail I can produce. Give me a break.
Selaco: (licks lip) MORRREEEE!!!
Oh my GOODNESS it looks good 😍 can't wait to play it!
Holy SHIT!
I am familiar with the GZDoom engine development and all I can say is that this is hype as fuck~
this looks like a awesome game
Breathtaking.
DAMN this looks and SOUNDS amazing. I'm in.
Amazing, i would never know this was a Doom "mod" if it wasn't for the GZDoom logo at the start
It's not a doom mod, it's a game made from scratch!
Thanks for the compliments 💙
I'm actually pumped for this! I haven't been hyped for a game since Battlefield 1, this looks amazing!
Doors sound LIKE DOOM
Homage! :D We needed a Doom sound in there so we're using it for safe rooms
1:16 Nice MIB easter egg with the roaring cricket :D
GREAT WORK MAN ! I LOVE IT !
I hope this game will have ultrawide support. Epic this is.
It does, one of our devs just added that in 3 weeks ago!
Now to get 20+ co-op friendos ripping alllllll of that apart at the same time
combat music give me coded arms vibe and i like it
looks fantastic! The safe room music sounded a bit like the first Resident Evil!
i feel like the ost is doing a RE2 save room reference and I love it
I was impressed by how Real667 pushed the engine over its limits with Blade of Agony... but this is another dimension!
37y old me is hyped AF!
edit: signed you on Patreon immediately
Aw, that's appreciated man. Thanks for supporting our game! Hope to see you around there :)
Same HUD typeface as in Quake Champions. I approve!
Was not expecting the Transformers: Fall of Cybertron-esque weapon upgrades, but I'm definitely not complaining
Awesome work!
Looks awesome, the safe room music was an especially nice touch. The only thing I'm less sure on is how chunky some of the animations are, I know the source, DOOM, has some pretty chunky animations, but when the rest of the game looks this goddamn slick, it was a little detracting.
Still, instabuy for me when it comes out :).
We are convinced it will look better when you play it yourself! Every animations, not just the guns, are intentionally done on a 1 frame per 2-tick basis to keep that old school aesthetic in tact. It's a stylistic choice, not an engine limitation.
Hopefully it wont bother you when you play it. Thank you for the nice words
This looks real good
Love the intense gun play 😍
Its really unbelievable how this runs Smoothly on the gzdoom engine
Added to "Wish list". Now need to stay alive until release.
