We just returned from our longest trip - a 51 day cross-country trip. We didn't have any reservations, and I did worry about where we would stay at night - but we always found a place. You know this - you've done this before. It's like riding a bike, right? Stay safe and enjoy the road.
Curious, what type of rig do you have to get by without reservations? I tow a 30 foot trailer with a 1 ton van and need reservations for every location. I have converted the van into a class b camper to avoid all the destination planning to park the airstream trailer.
We have a tiny 6x12 cargo camper. It used to be a utility trailer and we converted it. We can fit in a tent site. @@robert2768
Love the the liminal excitement of starting out!
You seem like a really cool person to have as a friend
number 1 , way to go girl.
Hello, Carolyn. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Hello, You are close to my hometown, York. Glad I caught you tonight. Old memories. I live close to Phila.now. I just went passed there yesterday. Mom passed away last week. Had to come back to York. Wish I knew were so close, we could have met. Thanks again for the memories. Happy travels.
I love these videos, when you do the history of the town. Love it. Thanks for all you do and for sharing. Love ya, Nancy PS This was a great video...
Thanks so much
Hard to get on the road when comforts are available, water, electric, tubs to soak in. Headed out soon too. Here’s to new safe adventures on the road
Great video!! I am originally from NY State. I think if I had a free, safe place to set up camp I would probably not be able to leave. I miss NY!! I miss the mountains, lakes, rivers and woods. I wish I could afford to go back, I would in a NY minute, LOL. Loved seeing Scranton again! Only about an hour from my hometown. Love hearing the history of the areas, even the ones I am familiar with. We had a lot of lime kilns in my neck of the woods too. Thanks for sharing Carolyn!! Always enjoy your videos!! Blessings, ~Alice
Beautiful winter footage.Old architecture footage also very interesting as well. Safe travels back west Carolyn!
Glad you enjoyed it
Wish I'd known you were going to be in PA... you drove right thru my area :)

Blessed travels always 😊
Love your video. Thanks for sharing different parts of our beautiful country! I am waiting to hear the outcome on my Minnie Winnie that was seriously damaged in a hail storm😫. I may be looking for a new one. That Bluetti is a big one. I’m sure your aunt and uncle are grateful for it. Safe travels to you and Sadie🌞🦋💖
Carolyn good video and sorry you have to leave your family. At least you are able to take your house and your belongings with you. Oh, great tip on Velcro uses too. I love the trees and eastern forests that are around you.😮

Watching your videos, especially this one, makes me miss the days when we travelled in the U.S. So many charming places to explore 😊
I admire you for your courage and independence, and a big thank you for sharing the interesting history of the places you visit.
Travel safe. Thank you for bird sounds I live in Colorado birds are almost gone. I love your videos. You tube has never dropped you for me.
I love the way Sadie rides so comfortably while you drive. She is so great!
I'll never stop telling you thank you for sharing your travels and educating us along the way. So happy that your family can feel a little bit safer with the Bluetti as well with your gift of love. Happy Thanksgivings to you and Miss. Sadie! Blessings!
You look so good and relaxed. The video of the woods really touched my soul. The beauty is beyond words. I thank you for sharing this. Hugs for you and Sadie girl.
You are so welcome Kathy
@@CarolynsRVLifeI just wanted to say how happy I am for you regarding Spending time with your family. Healing with Mom etc. Maybe that is what is making you shine. The old baggage is healing. With Mom. Being older, it is great that you could spend this time with her. I have been lucky to address my family issues when I was in my 40’s so that is why I know how important this is if possible. Not everyone is able to do this for what ever reason. I bet it is hard to get back on the road again. So easy to just get too comfortable to change. I see you as the WILLY NELSON “ON THE ROAD AGAIN” 😂😂 change is so good for the mind and soul. Oh, love your own version of the song. 😂🤣you are too funny. Have a great trip and I will try and keep up with you. Getting tired as I age. Had no idea in a blink of an eye one’s life can turn upside down. Keep living to the fullest while you can. Prayers are always with you and well wishes too. Thanks for making me smile. Hugs
How nice 👍 to be on the road and experience different places.
Safe travels great to see you see you back on the road 😊
Thank you for sharing! Safe travels!
Bluetti products are great! I have a smaller one as I don't need much and it works fine for me.
Very interesting video with the historical parts.
Thanks, so nice to be back on the road with you ❤️
Pig Iron was a big thing for PA. Lehigh Valleys local baseball team is the Iron Pigs. Love the scenery and towns all along the Susquehanna River.
Love Bluetti Carolyn and Sadie. You are rolling through much historical lands. Really pretty as well. Thanks for taking us along.
Like your old stuff that I really enjoy.
Thanx for your videos Carolyn! 😃
Your journey of travel has seemed to allowed you to heal..go home and enjoy your stay.I saw a look I had never seen...I think you needed this time with your mom...safe travels
I can so relate!! Mixed feelings about getting back “on the road” every time after spending a chunk of time with family/ friends! I’m glad to hear your feelings about it are so similar.
Happy Thanksgiving thanks for letting us be a part of your life
Great video. Fabulous morning view of the bridge.
Happy Thanksgiving. Historic Pennsylvania is lovely. I am a bit of a civil war buff and when my van is built out (due to be complete July 2024) I will be doing lots of long weekends at various battlefields enjoying the history in a slower, better way. I have been to Gettysburg before and loved it. It’s a bit of a tourist trap but if you know the history there is so much to see and do. I was a bit rushed when I was there and look forward to going back. I highly recommend Harper’s Ferry if you have time as well! A little bit of desensitization is always a good thing for our mental and overall health but getting back to complete silence is as well. Walk in peace and keep the videos coming. Good luck in your travels, my friend. Also, more Sadie please! I love her. 😊
Velcro to the rescue! Love traveling with you.
Always love your videos. Makes me feel like I'm traveling with you. You travel places I haven't been. And at my age won't be going. I like when you give history of places you are. I'm like you they make places to sell. Not places to last for years. Be safe
Happy travels! New adventures ahead for you.
Thanks so much!
Awwwww! Leaving Grandma!!! I wish we could meet Grandma. I say that because I am a grandma to both humans and furries. :)
Great video. Loved the bridge over the river scene!
flirting with snow if you're still up north. drive safe : ))
You Got This…luv, luv the architecture shots, another video spectac!
Enjoy your travels. You will be happy once the road is in your rear view mirror. Happy Thanksgiving. ❤
Hello Carolyn 🌻 you didn't want to stay during the holidays? What a wonderful gift you gave your Aunt & Uncle... Bluetti 🥰 That would definitely help them out 👏 Safe travels, and looking forward to your videos. Kay from Northern California 😎
I recognized where you were. I grew up near there near the Susquehanna River. It is a beautiful area.
When she shares a familiar place, it makes it special....love her videos too
Beautiful and I’m kinda glad you talked about the feelings of rv travel after being stationary for a long time. I’m feeling the same way.
We get comfy fast, don't we? Are you heading to Az?
Love your info, I wish I was out there too...but its coming..you girls are living the good life..its awesome up there...safe travels for you both....till next time...😊
Great to see you enjoyed the Wyoming Valley area of Scanton and the Wrightsville area as well! Was wonderful to see the areas where I grew up! I now live near Gettysburg and can't wait to see how much you got to see of this beautiful and historic area. Thank you for another wonderful video on the road! 👍😊❤
GETTYSBURG !! I'll be there with you !!!
I enjoyed this video. The bridges, the buildings. Beautiful buildings.....& Bridges.
Down here where I am.....we tare that kind of stuff down. I'm going to take a trip downtown to see how much is left. I'll take pictures. I haven't been down there in years.
There is one building that is still there since the 40's. I think that's right. Must be. I remember being in there in the 50's. It's the , Montgomery Wards building. It's been turned into condominiums. Not cheap. It's really rather plain compared to what you have been showing us while travelling thru small towns, but at least it's still there. They found a use for it.
Have a safe trip 😍❤️
Thanks for sharing, this is my first time seeing your Video, I'm from upstate New York, be safe out there
Great video, on the road again! I miss the NE. Grew up in Massachusetts.
I enjoyed seeing all the older buildings. It reminded me of some of the older buildings in downtown Chicago. I definitely can relate to the feelings of getting on the road. I get very worried but excited at the same time, but I still love it!❤
Welcome to York, PA. When I saw the John Wright Building I knew you were in Wrightsville, PA in my backyard. Welcome to this area. I hope you had a good time.
Yes! Thank you!
Loved seeing Pennsylvania, it was Lancaster County that I lived. Thank you for seeing a few familiar places
Glad you enjoyed it Linda!
Love your videos. Specially, at small towns you do a great job. Good luck to you I’ll be watching.
Nice New England Trip !
Be safe and healthy.Happy holidays you two🦃
Having Choices is often nice Carolyn. : ) Always remain flexable. 🙏
Btw... being in a stick & brick here in New England... I gotta say.. having one of these Big Boy solar batteries around REALLY helps me sleep better. It has kept my fridge & freezer going more than once. 👍
Gettysburg! Yay! I live close but have never been. Looking forward to it.
Nice vid carolyn glad you were able to spend a little sedintary time, but time to roll! Want to wish you safe trails no matter which ones you choose, hope you find some good adventures comming west ,we will be watching to see what you find happy trails!
Thanks so much!
Wow I missed watching your vlog I just wanted to say thanks that's a good idea about Velcro.
Happy and safe travels! Wow, these months went flying by! So sorry I missed you during your North Eastern stay. Much love to you and Sadie!
Happy holidays Carolyn
I so love your videos especially when you add the history highlights. Thank you again for taking me along on your travels.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Sadie
Looking forward to receiving the new calendar...loved last years!! Oh, thankyou for making it accessible for international viewers!!
Thank you so much for ordering Belinda!
Also just left Rensselaer county, after a long quite summer, safe travles
They sell a device, basically a capacitor, that extends how long you can run a fridge/freezer off a battery-inverter system. It changes the "power factor" needed to run the compressor. Sold as a device to save money on your power bill at home, it doesn't save money there---as Power Factor is already figured in to your bill.
I love the architecture in Scranton. Thank you for the historical narration. AND..... Please give that cute Sadie girl a kiss on the nose for me.
Woof!!! :-p
Oh my gosh I can't believe you are so close. I would have loved to meet up with you. You are my inspiration. I use to waterski on that river. We locals call it Long level. Im from York. Thank you for all you do!!
Hello Carolyn and Sadie!❤
very nice to see you back out on the road. Wasn't familiar with Wrightsville, PA but I'm only 26 minutes from there... who know 😄 Be safe and Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
Wow that little town was adorable--loved the shot of that old bridge--looked like a place in Europe!!! Do you ship calendars to Canada?? Big hugs to you and Sadie!!!!🥰🥰🥰
Just decided today to start following you! I’ve seen your blog but never actually tuned in, today I am!! Will let you know in a few days how it goes. 🙋🏽🙏🏽❤️
Instead of desensitizing, try looking at it as acclimating to your surroundings. Have peace as you return to your solitude so you can recharge. ML
Happy thanksgiving to you and puppy 🐶 ❤
Here is an idea regarding your flashlight batteries and such: the older style batteries, alkaline mainly nowadays, (and my rechargeable batteries), will die slowly over time (at least with an incandescent bulb). The newer batteries, the lithium types, usually die fast when their charge is gone. From hero to zero in no time flat. Both styles work much longer with LED bulbs, of course.
When I camped I never used gloves either. Never even thought to. Lol
On the roads again, sweet traveling, stay safe you two ❤
Ha ha about dumping without gloves. My Hubbie doesn't wear gloves either. I keep Clorox wipes in the console of the truck and he uses them when he is done dumping. So far no illnesses.
Love Sadie photo-bombing your video. btw: I purchased a big roll of Velcro as part of my prep for leaving sticks & bricks and going on the road.
Beautiful shots of the river & bridge❣ Tried to order the calendar last week but the debit/credit card link didn't work🤔💙🦋💙
Those bird calls got my cat's attention---lolol
Happy Thanksgiving
I agree about the gloves. Its my poop. I have done worst. I also wash and have sanitizer.
👌😊
Batteries cost to much we only buy rechargeable item's now u can save more hope u pass it on be save love u
I love your videos! I'm a 78 yo solo RVer. I'd love to adventure off the interstates like you do, but I'm afraid to get too far away from cell towers. I'm wondering in particular what Roadside Assistance program you use?
I'm sure that's been covered in a past video before I started watching you. Will you share that info?
You may have some type of roadside assistance or towing benefit from your auto insurance company. I do for my van and have only used it once in about 40 years of traveling. It’s worth a call to your agent to ask.
@@robert2768 Thank you for your input. I'd prefer a reply from Carolyn.
They say the ebs is coming anytime now and also have food for ten days there will be no power or enternet just want to give heads up love watching your channel
Good morning Carolyn 🙋♀️ Great video 😊❤ Safe travels ❤️😊 Happy Thanksgiving 🦃❤😊
Happy Thanksgiving. My old phone died and I got a Tablet now. I think I used to be Zax Max but my old phone died.
