Pest Test With Slugs + 650 Yard Shot (Ft. Element Optics) Part: 2

- For part 2 of our Element Optics test we decided to warm up with a 650 yard shot on steel! We tuned some guns for slugs, mounting scopes & hit the road! Justin shows us how incredible these airguns shoot by setting a new record! After we got that out of the way it was time for the Utah Airguns Pest Test! We used the FX Impact MKII + Power Plenum in .25 caliber and the RAW HM1000x (Chassis Gun) in .22 caliber for all shots.
All hunting videos are filmed through the Element Nexus and Element Titan scopes using the GoPro Side-Shot Scope Cam.

Nice job, the artillery style shooting is fun! I was using 43.5gr Nielsens to hit 12oz cans at 1/4 mile this winter, and all I can say is the MKII in .25 is a very capable platform 💪
Where you using the slug barrel? Or common barrell?

I’m saving up for a FX and a Element scope i know who to go to when I’m ready to purchase. I’m not going to order on line but i will take the drive from Los Angeles to Utah to purchase in person. Utah Airguns seems to be a honest shop and i like that.

I just purchased a fx impact x 700mm. 30 caliber with the upgraded plenum and donnyfl. My question is what slugs should I purchase and what speed to tune it to. I will purchase the slug liner once I get information about slugs. Thanks and awesome video!👌

I'm limited to either 300 or 350 yards max distance at my club's range.
I shoot precision .22 cal powder-burners there, and usually get a lot of laughs
when I reach out and ping the farthest gongs. Same deal when it comes to timing..
Aim, Fire, Wait, Wait, Wait... *Klank* I can't wait to try my PCPs there this year.

The question is if it's for hunting though it hit 650 yard or more what is the energy of the pellet/slugs at that distance ? Whether it can kill or just a injured hit or just a touching hit or just when hit target ( animals ) will just laugh, tease and run away, that's the question ? It's not only how long you can shoot it's also about whether you can kill at that distance, it's just even enough time from pellets to reach the target
kenlum hemang still has 15 fr lbs at that distance which is more than enough for squirrels..

The slug mushroom tells me it had about 20fpe left. Probably 5 of the fpe due to gravity on the way back down. :)

The Bushnell elite, tactical DMR 3, or the Burris, XTR3, or the vortex razor, all three of those scopes are in a similar price range, the LT model of the razor they are all in the 15 to 18 or $1900 price range, and all three are better than any element scope. Even the theos
Impact looks like 22 LR or higher velocity fire arms. Man what an impact and a 4 feet dust cloud behind it.

Damnit hubby and I Dingging the steels out out 500 is not impressive anymore. The MK2 700mm .25s PP is smoking it as is our Poly barrels LRTs in .22 and .25 but we haven't taken them out past 350 yet. Our MKIIs have been what we are really playing with part of that is the RAWs don't need to be played with they are unreal when we got them and do it all amazingly well.

Great. But you guys are sure quiet about the new versions Huben K1. Mine outclasses, outpowers and out engineers my FX impact by several magnitudes. FX seems like a toy now.

At 16:07, your slug ricocheted off the ground and hit the other ground squirrel. Although I could be mistaken. Great shootin regardless.

It is hard looking through a piece of plastic on a such a high end scope and at that distance.

Hi. I would like to buy a PCP riffle. And would like to know wich One is the best between the 2 ? And Most importantly wich One pcp riffle is the best suited to accurately Target Shots at very Long distancies.
Both are amazing guns, accuracy, power and performance is top of the game in both. The style of the guns is quite different, that would probably be the biggest decision to make.
What do you guys think about the Texan Lss ?

4.09 how do you guys stop the barrel nut getting stuck in side the shroud .
At 16:09 the round passes thru the aimed target and nearly takes out critter @1:00 O’clock. Almost a 2fer.

They are both great! Both scopes are worth more than the asking price for sure. Just depends what you are looking for in a scope and budget.

I enjoy the videos but because you only feature expensive rigs, I feel my frustration grow as I watch each shot because I will never spend that much on an airgun and night scope as those you use.
It's just like why I don't watch videos about super fashion models.
Too rich for a guy like me.

any advantages of having the scope 8 inches higher than the rifle barrel. I always go low As I can for a flatter shot.
Only if you are going to shoot 6-700 yards with an airrifle, scope then needs to be mounted really high on an adjustable mount so he can angle the mount down in front and still have elevation adjustment left over on the scope and not have the barrell come in the way of the sightline.
For all us normal and mortal airgunners there is no advantage what so ever, keep your scopes low :)

But for hunting. It Seems like it would be counterproductive and take unnecessary skill to hunt less than 120 yards with the scoop that high.. the curve would be like 8 inch low, on target, 3 inch high, then on target. at 120 yards.
I do like that accuracy to that gun though. just the mounts bug me. lol
@@BensMiniToons Jgrimsta is correct, most of the time we use much lower mounts. Just needed the elevation to dial out for long bombs!
