There is truly so much to unpack in this vid. I thought it was a piss take (comedy) then realised this dude is for real. “Transformation “ = new grips, new plastics and painting the seat and wheel. Use of tools, highly questionable (love the air ratchet running in reverse 🙂). Use of throttle on cold engine, disgraceful. Classic vid. I give props bro on getting that bike fixed, running and doing wheelies. U the man. Just a couple suggestions. Next time, buy seat cover, use hand tools, and air compressor on grips. Send it, two wheels 4 ever!
Don’t use power tools on the axles bro you can strip the threads .. don’t use any power tool unless you crack the nut loose first then remove the nut slowly ..
To be honest I've been using power tools for a number of years now and never have a stripped or broke a thread loosening a bolt. Or a nut. Apricate the concern lol!
@@RadMachines ok do you but thats not a wise decision to use a impact gun to tighten or break free a nut ... I rather use a breaker bar to break the nut free then use a very low power setting on the impact gun to just barely tighten up the nut then torque it
Great video man, food for thought though when taking an axle nut out don’t use a hammer use a malet so the axle doesn’t mushroom and grease it up real nice and don’t rev bomb after rebuild man or all the work is for nothing other than that man great video
The plastics I put on is a polisport restyle kit. 2013 crf450r plastics will not fit a 04. You might get the front fender and number plate on. But the rest won't work.

Dude, FX seat cover is like $40 and those painted rims are gonna look like crap soon. i give you props for trying but step up man. Some covers are less and you can have a upholstery shop put it on cheap. Get a set of Tusk Impact rims for that thing.
Great Job Brother! you could make that a RC Replica he went Undefeated in '04 on that Bike, just get a Woody Woodpecker Graphics Kit! & you'll have a Ricky Carmichael Replica! - Cheers👍
Good Deal. But you should check your piston to cylinder clearance as you have blue smoke upon startup. That's a stereotypical sign of worn oil rings. Time for at least a new top end.
Why would you paint the seat cover 45 bucks and you could buy a new one. For the cheap way of doing it that paint is going to ruin your pants or riding gear
@@RadMachines I would get a new seat cover for like $50 and either strip the wheels and polish or powder coat them. Paint on Vinyl don’t stick and the spray paint will flake off the wheels easily 😬
Rev limiter on a cold start is great way to blow it up
Why?
@@josiahswanson5518 sudden heat on cold parts can cause them to warp, also oil pressure/ flow isnt good on cold starts.

In the process of rebuilding my 02 450R , motor & case are good everything else is crap. Nice project man, ride on 🤙
Thanks 👍
Hey bro a couple of suggestions, alway grease your axle it should never be that hard to put in, always use hand tools to tighten don’t use electrics
Yep for sure. But I can't agree on the power tools part.
@@RadMachines that axle bolt is tightened waaay too much.
@@RadMachinesbecause you’re young 😂 once you destroy enough threads you’ll be wiser about using power tools on aluminum bikes.

Thanks! The bike was well warmed up already in the clip where I started it and revved it!
Also pls do a 150r build some time and maybe a little clip of riding at the end those bikes are sooo fun !
Yes for sure we have a 150f right now we might do a build on it.
Bro u deserve more subs and amazing 450 transformation keep up the good work 👍
Thanks!
So many head scratches during this restore video but it made for good content!
Yup!
Looks great. What year plastics did you install?
It was a polisport kit of eBay. www.ebay.com/itm/283517536466?hash=item4202f648d2:g:2vEAAOSwBRFdBRpw
What year plastics are those? And do you think a 2013 crf 45r plastics will fit an 2004 ?

Hey what plastic kit is that (what brand?) also great video!!!
hello, very good video!
what year for new plastic quits?
Nice effort on the restore of this bike and giving it new life. I'm a little concerned about why the timing chain was off.
Thanks! I think the timing was off because the chain got a little loose and jumped a couple teeth.
From which year model you bought plastic kit? This front nunber plastic looks better than orignal 2004
I bought it on ebay its a 2004 polisport restyle plastics!

Awesome
Thanks
Hey bro do you have a link for the front fender I have an 03 I’m sure the same one will fit
How did you get the front plate to fit
It comes with a bracket that you bolt on to your triple trees and that has the write bolt holes for the number plate to fit.
amazing video! If you see this comment I would like to know how painting the seat went
Thanks! The paint held up amazing! Just make sure the seat is clean and let the paint dry for 24 hours!
What front fender did you use? Looks nice
just a restyle kit from ebay
Hitting the limiter like that before it warm is bad for the bike just a heads up for next time
When I saw you painting the sear cover I'm off

Which year front fender did u put on on the 04
I bought a full polisport resyle kit from ebay.
maybe you should hit the rev limiter a few more times when shes cold, then you could start all over again LMAO
Where did you get your restyle kit from??
I got it from the man the myth the legend eBay
Working on mine!!! Just had to order a spark plug boot, I ripped the head off it.
Nice! Hondas can be a pain to diagnose

Thanks, This bike was fine. It was just really cold. I had the choke on so that is what caused the smoke.
Him..let's get a cold start....ALSO him...revs the shit out of it
Hey at least it starts

thanks
I’m looking for an exhaust like the size of the one you have attached on your bike bc i have a 2003 crf450r
The first exhaust I never fit because the mounts where wrong.
there's one of these 2004 for sale around here, do you think it's a good bike?
To be honest I am not a big fan of crfs 450. Because they have a lot of valve problems. But other than that their great bikes!
2006-2008 was the year for these bikes ive heard.
Why would you paint the seat cover 45 bucks and you could buy a new one. For the cheap way of doing it that paint is going to ruin your pants or riding gear
never had an issue!
wanna sale that black rear fender
Lol
Guys thanks for watching! Please consider subscribing! Also 3 months later and the seat held up great that I painted!
lemon
Way over torqued that rear axle nut, completely unnecessary man
Better to over torque than under torque. Also the bike never had a issue so I don't see this as any problem.
The shit you painted you can't do that
Little paint aint gonna hurt nobody it'll buff. Also I don't like the language your using please keep it clean on this channel.
The most ghetto restoration ever!!!
thank you

spray paint on wheels and seat 😦
