Tata products like Kandipappu, Minapagullu(Urad) Pesrapappu (Moong) etc., are selling in Reliance Stores. Their prices are higher 10 to 15% than the prices in D Mart.

Dear Sai Garu, Yur analysis is good and informative. Quality wise D Mart is excellent. Prices wise also cheaper than in local Kirana Stores. Tata products prices are higher than D Mart prices at least by 5 to10%. Biscuits etc., are 5 percent less than Tata Stores or even in Metro stores. This is my observation. In future as explained Tatas may dominate.
I was a regular customer at star market in Bangalore and I use to prefer picking their own brand products over the other brands. Should say quality of these products is on par with the known brands in the market and you get them at a less price. They keep their own products next to all the leading brand products and easy to compare the price especially when you are on budget. The quality of the meat they sell in the store is top notch. In my experience Dmart may compete with Star bazar/star Market in terms of pricing but definitely not in terms of quality. This feedback is based on my experience with one Star Bazar and several star market stores in Bangalore. Should also mention about their points based redemption program which is easy to redeem and also one of the best I should say. I am not sure if Reliance,more and Dmart runs any such which would help to retain customers

I went to Star market and DMart and noted prices in both, surprisingly i found DMart 4-6 rupees cheaper on almost all products when compared with Star Market. Now its up to customers from where thy want to purchase groceries

We were there in Bangalore for more than we used to visit Star Bazar. Not sure about the recent developments but all the items will be expensive. We can't compare star bazar with D-mart at all. Though margins are getting decreased for D-Mart it will be a leader even in the near future for the below reasons. 1. D-mart stores are either leased for long term or their own stores---- No burden on D-Mart regarding the store rent which is one of the main factors of other competitors. 2. D-mart looks to have changed the Strategy. If you check the DD colony Main Street opposite to Chaitanya College which is near to your house, It's a mini store. Looks like it is in plan to expand rapidly with a new strategy to increase its sales. 3. Definitely it may not do well for some time but it will bounce back. We did had and we still have competition from Reliance but D-Mart survived out of all challenges. 4. Last but important one Starbucks is not a Trent company It is a tata Consumer company do correct in the video

One side of the coin gaining market percentage by organized players are good from consumer point of view. Other side of the coin, it kills un organized players. This was already happened in developed countries. Majority of the market share is with couple of organized players.
Here in pune , star bazzar and dmart are running with heavy rush dye to location problems. For me star bazar is closest, damart is far. While earlier my location, damrt was closer , so preferred dmart. If dmart or smart opens many branches, thats when we can see who can grow better as oer my view
Tata Is an itself a brand.Indians having more trust on Tata's than others as they earn and also contribute to the Nation through various social responsibility much earlier the so-called corporate social responsibility scheme
Still nothing can shake DMart. Their balance sheet is very strong because they focus on customer centricity and their approach is much stronger then anyone in the market.

Here in pune , star bazzar and dmart are running with heavy rush dye to location problems. For me star bazar is closest, damart is far. While earlier my location, damrt was closer , so preferred dmart. If dmart or smart opens many branches, thats when we can see who can grow better as oer my view
