- Join me for a 15 min Warm-Up Flow for Climbing 🌊
In this session I share some ideas that you can incorporate into your warm up before climbing routine.
Warm up should consist of three parts:
1. Create heat in your body/ Increase your heart rate (jump rope, sun salutations, cycling, etc)
2. Rotate your joints (controlled arm, hip circles etc), activate your muscles and do some active stretching (leave static stretching after climbing or for your rest day)
3. Easy climbing on the wall
How do you usually warm up before climbing? Share in the comments below!

Thank you Ieva, nice routine! I've written it down to try in the climbing gym today :D A warm-down / routine after climbing would be greatly appreciated too!
Yeaahh, great to hear that! Hope the warm up feels good today before climbing 💪🏽
Would you be able to make a ten minute warm-up version? I know I need to warm-up better, but I am impatient to get on the wall. If it's just a ten minutes though, I might actually stick with it!
That's a good idea! I noted it down and hopefully will create and film it in the near future!
Perfect. I am rubbish at warming up for climbing (usually just wave my arms around a bit and jump on some easy routes), so will try and incorporate some of this! Thanks :-)
Hah, I feel you! I used to do the same and still sometimes do when I'm too excited to start climbing 🙈 Let me know if these moves were useful for your warm up 🦄
I just did this warm up to mix up my routine and had a lot of fun with it. Thank you again!
Glad to know that you had fund with this routine, Elise! Thanks for practising together!
Hey Ieva, thought I would just write a quick thankyou for your great videos. My partner also has a channel so I appreciate how much work goes into filming, editing, thumbnail, keywords, etc. I watch your videos before all my climbing sessions but it’s on tv so don’t get a chance to write a comment. So simply put...thanks again for the great videos!
Glad you enjoy the sessions on my channel! What is your partners channel about? and yesss, there is some work behind the scenes, indeed. Appreciate that you acknowledge it 🙌🏾 I'm really enjoying the experience of learning that and sharing classes here on RUclips so far 🌝
Awesome. Thx 🤙🏼
You are very welcome!
Thanks!
You're very welcome 🙏🏽 🌝
This was great! I particularly liked the arm and shoulder circles in the beginning. Thank you!
Happy to read your comment, Bea! Indeed, those circles are such a great way to warm up our shoulders. Glad that you enjoyed them as well!!
This is awesome! Can't wait to use this at the gym when it finally opens
yay, happy to know that, Michael! Do you know when the gyms will re-open at your place?
Amazing thank you.
Thanks for continuing to practise with me! 🙏🏽 ☀️
Thanks for inspiring me!!
Thanks for your comment and for flowing with me, Andrea!
Please could you do a flow for upper back and neck for all of us who're spending our days bent over home desk setups and feeling stiff and sore because of it!
Thanks for your suggestion, Josh! Have you done my Neck, Shoulders & Upper Back video? It should feel good after sitting by the computer a lot. But I recommend to do it standing instead of sitting!! If you do the session, let me know how it goes and I hope that it feels good for you✌🏽
Awesome! Have been waiting for this ♥️
Hope you find it useful! 💚
Awesome
Thanks, Ana 💚
