I've been practicing this cut for a while unsuccessfully. I have watched many tutorials and still no luck. After watching your video just once I completed my first revolution cut. I attribute this to my hands being small (I know, lame excuse). Most other tutorials have the rotation above the perpendicular bottom packet and I just couldn't get this done. The way you swing to the side and use your thumb to get the packs to clear makes all the difference in the world. Thank you so much! I will like and subscribe.
Gotta say fell into that small hands mentality on this cut. Proceeded to look up tutorial tutorial and seeing all the different finger placements and explanations only solidified that. Tried to replicate how you do it and sure it was sloppy but I pulled it off. Best tutorial for the revolution cut I've seen. Thanks much!
I happen to be watching this on the 11th birthday of this video. It was very helpful. I learned this cut probably a few months before this video was uploaded. And I've been doing it wrong this entire time. I have always ended up with my index finger sandwiched between the 2 packets. It took a little practice, but I can now fold my index finger in when I'm supposed to.
I can't tell you how many vids I watched for the revolution cut. A couple were only a little helpful. Watching yours, I can actually do it now. I know this is an x year old vid, but keep up the great work! Really appreciate these tutorials!
Very well explained. I've nearly got it but I'm just having issues with getting the index out of the way at the end. Guys if you can't do this one and you're discouraged then... Well firstly don't be and keep trying... But if you just can't seem to get it or you think it's too hard, I recommend you learn the scissor cut first. Once you have that one down you should be able to get this one shortly after. I thought it was going to take forever to learn this one but once I got the scissor cut now this is just proving very easy to learn.
simple, to the point, very easy cut. Very nice tutorial. spoke clearly which made it very easy to understand the move. I'm already loving the one handed cut. Thanks
@MAJICmike95 Hey man, I did some research and found the cut you were referring to. It is quite a bit different as you said, but I have also heard the cut that I do being referred to as the "revolution cut." I think the name is generally used to describe both cuts since they look so similar even though the mechanics are different. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I thought you were nagging about a minor difference in finger position or something :P - Asad
"If you can't do it no matter what or which tutorial, just check out 52kards' channel and Boom". That's basically how I feel. As soon as I heard you made a tut for this cut, I checked it, and now I can do it ! Actually what I was doing wrong you didn't explain, but watching your fingers carefully helped me out on that question "what to do with your pinky ?"
been doing this a while and could never square the bottom pack very well so thanks for the tip about lowering the first finger to the bottom works a lot better now.
Thank you for all the well-made tutorials that you've made. I wouldn't be anywhere near as good with cards as I am now without your help. This move was pretty difficult when I first saw it, but i've nearly got it now. :)
Great video, it's a lot of work to get there though and i'm still not there at all. I am concerned about one thing though, most videos completely ignore the other packet management... so far, it's been my main concern. The other packet is always is the way, either blocking my index or simply preventing my ring finger to get to the other side of the deck. However it was clear enough here that the bottom of the other deck was controlled not by the pinkie but by the ring finger (at the beginning). Thanks again.
I've been doing magic for about 8 months now and I've known the charlier cut the entire time, and when i tried this its like my fingers just knew what to do it was awesome!
Jyroson yea i quit right when ttk dropped so i aint played since 2015, i have everything from year 1 tho, even platinum and every weapon. and ill be in college this year cuz im a senior so sadly ill have to miss out on grinding away every weekend with friends like in year 1
Same here, I'll be in college too, so I'm really just hoping the trailers make the game look good otherwise I'm just gonna invest what little time I will have into other games.
Jyroson yea same, i wont have time to actuslly have fun with it, ill just play less time consuming games where u can hop on and off like cod or battlefield
@0black0water0 I have small hands too. Hand size shouldn't be a big problem for this move. When you practice your fingers will learn to stretch in the right ways.
I´ve seen 1000000000 Tutorials about the Revolution Cut. All Videos lasted about 5 minutes. Your lasted 3:33 Minutes and I learned it in 1 Minute. Your Good! :D Abo!
Thanks! This is an excellent video. The detailed explanation was really helpful. It’s ugly right now but I got my first successful attempt within a couple of minutes.
@MAJICmike95 Care to elaborate? There are an infinite ways to do any move, I don't know what you consider to be the "correct" way. This is the way I have always done it and it works very well.
Wow....I just learned and mastered the Charlier Cut today from you and thought I should try this...I was wrong. This is SO much harder. But still, great tutorial.
For those having trouble the point that is not mentioned is that when you move your ring finger to the right hand edge then drop the lower cards you must push them up with your pinky so they stick out between your thumb and first finger!
Holy crap, I've watched so many other videos and it hadn't clicked for me. After one viewing, i was able to do the cut for the first time! Great video, you have a new subscriber and fan.
For people with smaller hands (like myself) I found it MUCH easier to start with my ring finger on the bottom of the deck. This results in an easier transition from the index and thumb to the index and ring finger!
Goddamn you make it look so smooth.... it looks more complicated than the Charlier cut, and yet I find it so much easier - tell me I'm not the only person that thinks this? XD
Usually channels like this (Mismag822, howtodisturbreality, etc.) Make me a little annoyed because it's inexperienced people teaching other people's stuff, but i like your channel. You make really good tutorials, good job.
does it make sense to learn stuff like that with half the deck and slowly ad more cards or would you advice to start directly with a complete deck? Thanks for your advice in advance! btw your videos are just great!
hey, I was wondering up until the last part, do you think you could do a one handed shuffle after you rotate the packets? Please tell me if I need to explain more, I kinda worded that poorly
Hey, I found out why you feel like you can't do this cut. It wasn't emphasized, but a very important part of the swivel is not to move your index finger above the pivot of the cards. You want to swivel with your thumb "counterclockwise"and try not to move your index finger too much otherwise when you lift the other half of the deck, your index wont be in the middle of the two parts, making it almost impossible to complete the cut.
i have been practising this for a while and copyed what he did and said about the index finger, but my top deck always lands to far above my bottom deck and then i have to correct it. I dunno if its cause my hands are small or what it is. Any advice?
This is one of those cuts that you just have to go with it. If you try to do it slow all the cards just start sliding away. So anyone having problems, just try it a little faster and see how it goes for ya.
How are you able to keep the top pack so far away from the lower one? I'm literally at my fingertips and then cards just start dropping because I can't move the packs apart
Oh yeah, one tip, when rotating, keep your pointer still, don't let it move much, let the thumb do the work, caused mea lot of finger position problems
Following along, following along and cards are on the floor
RIGHT!?!?!?!?
not for small hands
Learned this one before the Charlier. ANARCHY.
That's hardcore bro
52Kards lol
CISElite then you learned both at once ... nice to know
me too I learned it before
you dont need to know the charlier to do it
I've been practicing this cut for a while unsuccessfully. I have watched many tutorials and still no luck. After watching your video just once I completed my first revolution cut. This is the best revolution cut tutorial ever, you're calm you talk through everything slowly
I happen to be watching this on the 11th birthday of this video. It was very helpful. I learned this cut probably a few months before this video was uploaded. "Ok, I hope that was clear enough..... bye" lol best outro ever
ikr after seeing many videos of like subscribe whatever, this one just felt a little...empty or missing something LOL
I'd checked out four or five other tutorials on this cut before, but only with this one I really understood what to do, thanks!
you legit have the best flourish tutorials i've ever seen. not exaggerating
Really like how you talk about your experiences while you were learning the sleights it really helps out a lot.
Very well explained. I've nearly got it but I'm just having issues with getting the index out of the way at the end.

Most tutorials on this cut are not well explained and they just repeat the cut. This one on the other hand IS well explained. Thanks!
simple, to the point, very easy cut. Very nice tutorial. spoke clearly which made it very easy to understand the move. I'm already loving the one handed cut. Thanks
Thank you so much, for all your effort into your tutorials. I would not be where i am without you.
Cheers
Angus
d&c, you'r tutorials are by far the best, first person view with in depth instruction.
keep it up!

MUCH easier than other vids! If you're not 6'9 with the hands to match (like the last one I watched) your method is the way to go. Thanks!
This is such a easy card flourish.... waaaay easier than other fancy cuts and stuff. ITS AMAZING
"If you can't do it no matter what or which tutorial, just check out 52kards' channel and Boom". That's basically how I feel. As soon as I heard you made a tut for this cut, I checked it, and now I can do it ! yea same, 52kards makes titorials easyer
By far the best tutorial I found for this move. The other ones I found instructed me to do things that ended in me dropping the cards all over.
Thanks, now I have to go inside all my hvac air Ducts to find half my damn cards! Great trick! Anything you can teach with 37 cards? Goood Lord!
been doing this a while and could never square the bottom pack very well so thanks for the tip about lowering the first finger to the bottom works a lot better now.
Thank you for all the well-made tutorials that you've made. I wouldn't be anywhere near as good with cards as I am now without your help. This move was pretty difficult when I first saw it, but i've nearly got it now. :)
@MMmagicals Thanks for the kind words :) The deck is the White Knuckle Deck.
Thank, I watched 6 other videos and yours was by far the best
Great video, it's a lot of work to get there though and i'm still not there at all. Jyroson nice trials profile pic, i had 23 flawless runs myself back in year 1, the best time of destiny.
Yeah, I've been flawless a bunch and hopefully, Destiny 2 will be the game we hope it to be tbh.
Jyroson yea i quit right when ttk dropped so i aint played since 2015, i have everything from year 1 tho, even platinum and every weapon. and ill be in college this year cuz im a senior so sadly ill have to miss out on grinding away every weekend with friends like in year 1

Congratulations on the video. Old but gold.
Awesome tutorial!
the pinky finger is the key point for this cut if you have small hand!!
amazing, you are definetily the best teacher on youtube
I´ve seen 1000000000 Tutorials about the Revolution Cut. All Videos lasted about 5 minutes. Your lasted 3:33 Minutes and I learned it in 1 Minute. Your Good! :D Abo!
Thanks for the kind words :) Some moves may be easier to practice with fewer cards, but probably not this one.
Boop.
thanks a lot for the details... The thumbpush on the top left corner at the end, was the missing piece for me. Cheers
Best revolution cut tutorial so far
Thanks! This is an excellent video. The detailed explanation was really helpful. It’s ugly right now but I got my first successful attempt within a couple of minutes.

Wow....I just learned and mastered the Charlier Cut today from you and thought I should try this...I was wrong. This is SO much harder. But still, great tutorial.
YES, I finally got it! I practiced all last night, and i just got it this morning! I feel like such a boss ;P
For those having trouble the point that is not mentioned is that when you move your ring finger to the right hand edge then drop the lower cards you must push them up with your pinky so they stick out between your thumb and first finger!
Good tutorial despite the grip mix up, thanks!
Holy crap, I've watched so many other videos and it hadn't clicked for me. After one viewing, i was able to do the cut for the first time! Great video, you have a new subscriber and fan.
man, all the other revolution titorials i tried i couldnt do, but this one is easy.
I like this one because it also feel like a good exercise to move the fingers independent from each other
I learned 4 cuts from you and now this is the 5th!! Thanks Man!
This was my first cut I learned :D
Nice tutorial thanks man!
For people with smaller hands (like myself) I found it MUCH easier to start with my ring finger on the bottom of the deck. This results in an easier transition from the index and thumb to the index and ring finger!
I have relatively small hands but this video is better than others and helped a lot thanks mister
Thanks Asaad now my left pinky hurts like hell XD but im so close to nailing this tho!
very nice ! your tutorials are always well explained !
Btw man those tutorials are awesome, keep on uploading flourishes, its Great!
Nice tutorial,im new in flourishing and this cut is really hard.

Such a cool flare!!!
Thx a lot!! The instructions were really clear and I can now do this trick!!
this is the hardest shit because im sitting here waiting on the next step while your trying to explain what that finger is called
Awesome tutorial. Easy to understand
Goddamn you make it look so smooth.... it looks more complicated than the Charlier cut, and yet I find it so much easier - tell me I'm not the only person that thinks this? XD
Wooo I did it! Nice guide bud.
Awesome cut and tutorial. One suggestion: try to place microphone further from your mouth to prevent clacks and other noises.
Best walk through of the revolution I've seen so far. Thanks bro!
Asad I love all of your videos!
Usually channels like this (Mismag822, howtodisturbreality, etc.) Make me a little annoyed because it's inexperienced people teaching other people's stuff, but i like your channel. You make really good tutorials, good job.

most helpful video on yt
This video was extremely helpful. Thank you!
technique will make up for small hands keep going! I said the exact same thing years ago~
hey, I was wondering up until the last part, do you think you could do a one handed shuffle after you rotate the packets? Please tell me if I need to explain more, I kinda worded that poorly
I final figured this out thx to this the you I learned to do the triple one handed cut before this
Hey, I found out why you feel like you can't do this cut. It wasn't emphasized, but a very important part of the swivel is not to move your index finger above the pivot of the cards. You want to swivel with your thumb "counterclockwise"and try not to move your index finger too much otherwise when you lift the other half of the deck, your index wont be in the middle of the two parts, making it almost impossible to complete the cut.
great tutorial, thank you so much!
i have been practising this for a while and copyed what he did and said about the index finger, but my top deck always lands to far above my bottom deck and then i have to correct it. I dunno if its cause my hands are small or what it is. Any advice?
I know this is a reaaaaally old video but the thumb push in the upper left corner was the keystone for this move for me, thanks!
This is one of those cuts that you just have to go with it. If you try to do it slow all the cards just start sliding away. So anyone having problems, just try it a little faster and see how it goes for ya.
This is my Favorite 1 handed cut.
Thanks for this tutorial man
Great video my hand muscles figured it out in 15 minutes.
hy asad can you please tell me some decks which are having a hard stock good for flourishes
How are you able to keep the top pack so far away from the lower one? I'm literally at my fingertips and then cards just start dropping because I can't move the packs apart
First time managed to accomplish this after the tutorial! 😎 Cheers!
Great tutorial thanks for the help
very clear sir, thanks!
Was it raining, while you were shooting??
I did it on my first try!!
Hardest habit to break when i was learning this move was my joints locking in place and my fingers going back to the straddle grip
Cool and smooth move
Oh yeah, one tip, when rotating, keep your pointer still, don't let it move much, let the thumb do the work, caused mea lot of finger position problems
Hey 52kards I just bought a deck from your website
Nice tutorial! Ty
Really helpful!! Thanks👏👏
Thanks for this tutorial
You just made this tutorial to show us your new deck ;)
