U know brent and the PFI guys may not have the clout as some other channels but i feel more at home ....as the team is humble and very down to earth ....not none of that bought not built crap....always a teachable moment for those of us who dont have some big dollar bank account to enjoy or simple builds ....gotta luv them #PFI #Hiedi #jamie 😊😊
I really wish some companys would reach out to brent and help him with parts so he has a awesome time racing like we all love to see. The struggles are real, and some good parts for a great guy would be great to see. Not that some haven't helped, but i feel theres alot more big companies that could step up and help the most helpfull person on the planet...... really love this video and as always love the good vibs an great friendship with this crew. ❤
@@jasonlucas82 That's what I'm wondering every time I see her in the videos but I'm slightly biased towards them just being very good friends, like Brent is with everybody.
Hell Yeah! Don't get me wrong I love seeing you and Cleeter together the excitement that you both have together is contagious. I hope you all hav a great time and stay safe.
Brent you are a wonderful man a great great role model and ive never met you but you impress me and i really respect your way of life , ive watched the epa try to knock you down and you stood up and have spread the word to save our race cars and i truly have the utmost respect for you, so thank you for being you buddy
I’m excited to see you doing your own thing on RMRW and facing the challenge, whatever happens we know you’ll do it with a smile on your face and all of rooting for you 😊
Edit: I’d don’t know who the Young lady is but a natural with a torque wrench and can clearly see no pressure has been put on her to get on the spanners My eldest daughter ( 15 this time ) has asked me for a motocross bike and I’m working and saving to buy her one for her birthday in July. We used to spend time 5-6 years ago working on my bike and she had a rev and go but she wanted to do other things and I encouraged that but has come full circle and wants to learn a full manual bike how to fix it and get back to it. I feel super happy and looking forward spending more quality time with my own daughter just like this. The whole PFI family thing I love from the UK 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤
Man I gotta say I'm kinda bummed I'm not gonna see my favorite duo at RMRW this year (Cleetus&Brent) But on the other hand I'm SUPER STOKED to see you shred my man!!
I love the content. Every video .I don't care what y'all are doing. Love watching Brent wrench and get excited piecing things together. Really inspiring.
Was cool seeing Heidi learn. Its a good visual for us viewers too that have worked on engines but maybe not to the extreme of cranks and rods/pistons etc.
I bet Brent is an amazing teacher passing down the knowledge he's learned down to the next generation and next generation such a cool guy 😎 so glad they are killing it here's to the future guy keep pushing forward big love to the pfi family ❤
Brent may just be the coolest dude out there. His level of excitement and the way he always make others included in his love and fun. Most RUclipsrs you only see the guys and the content. Brent always is bringing in friends. Teaching them. Sharing the good times and love with everyone. #BrentforPrez
I have to admit, RMRW is going to be weird without you and Cleet in Leroy but you rockin the Freedom Civic is very cool. Good luck brother and enjoy...🤓
I love the Cole truck. Circle track or maybe some spectators drags at the Freedom Factory but it wasn't good at drag racing. Cool ass truck and deserves a place 😊
Great to see/hear Emilio back in the shop and holding the cam. Also, glad to see Heidi help build motors. Great to see females in the shop learning and not scared to get a little dirty. Keep up the great work guys and girls.
I love watching Brent work and explain what and why he’s doing it. His knowledge with Honda’s is amazing. Can only imagine how many engines he’s built in his life. Brent I know you are super humble but I would love to see some of the trophies you had hiding in the back shop.
"Quick" explainer why the dyno graph has a kink in it: Any permanent magnet motor will produce a voltage when you spin it manually. Spin it faster and you get more voltage. This self induced voltage is called 'BEMF' (back electro-motive force). To make any output torque from the motor, you need to apply a voltage that's greater than the BEMF. This results in a flow of electrical current into the motor. The bigger the voltage difference you have, the more current you can force into the motor meaning you get more torque. The system will have a defined maximum current that above which your batteries will melt or similar bad stuff. At low speeds you butt into this ceiling meaning you can only supply a fixed current. This means that torque output is constant. Since Power=Torque*RPM, you get a nice linear rise in measured power as the speed increases. Eventually BEMF gets high enough that you can no longer force the full current into the motor. You simply don't have enough voltage coming from the batteries to overcome it. The tradeoff between torque and BEMF is exactly such that power output is constant. The tradeoff is just a quirk of how the math works out, all magnet motors will be the same. Even though your output torque is falling, the RPM is climbing. When you multiply them together you get the same power measurement. This gives you the nice flat plateau on the dyno graph.
I'm the same way Brent, I dont like calling on people who will drop everything to help me. I try to save those calls for my absolute necessary situations. I always return the favor. Maybe grab a bunch of cranks and have them checked at once. You guys do enough racing now its worth having the good ones ready for action.
Hey Brent When torquing rods, mains and head bolts if you stand on the lower part of engine stand when torquing the engine will never roll around on you. and its a one-person job...
The base adjustment on the coilovers is for adjusting the bump stop. You're supposed to remove the spring and run them through travel. Then set the base where it hits the stop, before anything else touches. Then set the ride hight via the spring collar
As a machinist, I appreciate that you don't want a guy to jump thru hoops unnecessary. You only get so many favors and like the boy who cried wolf, you don't want to be out of favors when you really do need it.
So now that Heidi is an expert engine builder, are we going to see a Heidi built car on the track? It would be awesome to see her on the track with her own build.
Looks like Heidi has that twinkle in her eye. She becomes a true Honda gearhead finally, great job brent love to see it! Great vids and welcome to the Honda fam Heidi ❤
Interesting you're having cam chain tensioner issues, I have an old BMW m30 that's been having tensioner guide issues ever since I put a cam and valve springs in 🧐 even though it was supposedly pretty mild. I think with certain cams there can be some sort of resonance that will make the chain slap and kill guides and tensioners. i've gone through 5 in the past 2 years
Awesome to see a pretty lady getting her hands dirty and doing cool stuff!! And also how about a little info and a start up on that vmax outside. Who's is that??
That is awesome to see you guys teaching Heidi how to build an engine. She is going to be able to start building an engine for her own car! You are going to have some competition now!😂
low rpm the big loans can knock the teeth down on the locks and when that happens it’s solely reliant on the oil pressure for the piston of the tensioner so less oil pressure and the tensioner can just collapse
Is there no aftermarket solution to the tensioner other than a manual one? The chain and sprockets were fine. Hope that gets figured out after the week, raceweek get it on!
Free Engine building classes with, Teacher Brent & new student Heidi, note to Student, congrad's on putting your hair up, but next time take your rings off & put them in your pocket, they could get damaged. I for one would like to see the Cole Truck back up & running, Maybe with a Honda V6 Turbo this time? What is up with Steven's Black & Silver car, setting in the back ground? New camera man did Good.
It’s crazy how many hours you spend there. I honestly hope someday you will get to partially step back and enjoy some life away from the shop. Work some nice 8-4 days. I see you always filming from light out to dark out which is at least 830-9p now. I’m assuming you enjoy being there too but it’s a lot of hours at work man.
Not sure how samantha's doing but it was really nice to see Heidi getting her hands dirty and learning from the best Tuner, Builder ,and Mechanic Brent! right on Heidi.
DIGGING INTO THE “PILE” ONCE AGAIN! Who’s “piloting” the V-ROD? Love those bikes! An injury to my left hand makes it impossible for me to hold on to one under its wild acceleration. Roger in Pierre South Dakota
Man, I need fewer projects so I can just get out and go racing with you. Kick butt out there!
Emilio is a great camera guy
That’s all he’s good for
@@k20eg69 Nah bro, he's a good dude. I like seeing him.

Think she’s married she had her husband in a while back with her kids
I got a thing for Heidi 🥵……but she’s married 😩

Good call on the cam change. Figuring out those variables is a big part of the battle in long-term survivability! Could be an interesting week!

That’s a unique dyno session…. The rollers make more noise than that Leaf 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
@PFI Speed try making the tensioner manual by removing the internals and using a set screw and nut. Removes the tensioner failures.
