Great little review of this book.
The gut punch in this book is so impactful because of Kelpie. I audiobooked this while walking my dog and I kept looking at him wondering, would you stay and look after me or would you play with traffic or something.
I just read this for my book club, I loved this! You summed this up perfectly.

someone picked this book for our club. I didn't know what to expect but I really enjoyed it. Jarret and Lexington's journey was great. Theo and Jess' chapters in my opinion were a little too preachy and the last chapter besides the reveal was irrelevant. Good read.
