I love this series but I feel like Lauren is getting flooded with information!! Have you two gone out and played a course with her using what she's learned with no instruction. I would LOVE to see that vlog!! Maybe on an easier course? :-))))
Jadzia, I'm glad I saw your reply first, because I was basically thinking the same thing and you probably said it better than I would have anyway.... Lol!
I agree.....I played golf from the age of 15 and got to 5 handicap ..About 12 years ago I felt I needed a break after 35 years non stop playing . apart from the extremely rare attempt to play after a ladder fall that badly injured my left arm (power side as I'm a left hander) in the early 2010's it was a long time to play properly again . During 2020 though my arm was beginning to fell normal enough again to try golf . When I returned it literally felt like I was 15 again learning to hit the ball like a beginner . I couldn't get the ball airborne , shanked nearly every iron and apart from putting it was really discouraging .. Where I live in Tasmania , Australia we don't have much help for stuff like this and I was at my wits end . Everybody was telling me to do this , try that and to be honest it was so confusing and ridiculous considering that I used to shoot low 70's often and even a few sub 70's at our local club . Of course being 60 and not as fluid as I used to be was not helping .. In the end I just kept hitting balls , little triggers began to return slowly and consistent contact slowly began to happen .. I was shooting high 40's for 9 when I began to play comps , then low 40's and recently I shot 79 for 18 again ...Was great ..Playing off 16 now after getting my handicap again . Looking at updating my 20 plus year old clubs and adding a hybrid or two and maybe one day getting to 12 . NO more 5-6 hcp but just being slightly competitive again and loving every second of playing is more than enough ...I have great faith that Lauren will find her way , she will take a little bit that works for her that you guys tell her and make it her own ...Loving this series though .. It's awesome ..
I think a shorter move like stack and tilt would help her alot. Focus on square club face back and through.
Yeah it is hard to intake all the information from all these well known coaches.
I really think it takes an incredible amount of courage to do what's being documented in this series. It's a hell of a thing when you allow yourself to look vulnerable, at whatever it is you're doing, when you're outside of your comfort zone. I have so much admiration for Lauren.... IMO it just takes a lot of self belief and self acceptance. I tip my cap to her and to all of you who do these kinds of things in the public eye.
Thank you so much! 🥹🙏🏻
Claire you are so supportive and the true excitement you display for your friend is inspiring, I've improved my game watching also!!! Keep up the great work. Thanks to you and your crew.
Claire, you are such a great mentor/teacher; you also make people feel good. Love your videos and when you do GGG.
Claire, you are so sweet, patient, and supportive of Lauren. I've watched you for a couple of months now but I think this is the first time that I caught a glimpse of the real you. Hope that sounded as positive as it was intended. Lauren is just a sweetheart. She is so enthusiastic about learning this game. Love y'alls sense of humor. : ) She's lucky to have a friend like you and visa-versa. Best wishes to you both. Hit em straight!
These are some of Claire’s best videos. I love supported Claire.
I love that Lauren is beginning to really swing the club- no more hitting from the top! Kudos to you and your colleagues Claire. She is a great student making real strides forward. Just needs lots of guided practice.
Might help to have just received info from one instructor and stick with that. I can’t imagine what goes through her mind over the ball after getting lessons from 5-6 different coaches in like 45 days, lol.
I feel really lucky to have started playing golf really young, because watching even pretty athletic adult friends try to learn has been way more painful than this. Lauren's got enough athleticism to be pretty good. She's coming along nicely. Cool series. Let her hit each shot twice. Best kind of practice on the course if you can do it without slowing my group up :)
Even if she breaks 90 a “Season 2”would be great! Been lots of good instruction for everyone with this. Keep it going!!
This series has been an absolute pleasure to watch. You both are full of joy, hope and positivity. I think series 2 would be to go back to each coach for a follow up.
That was awesome. I was so glad when he took Lauren to a half swing on those mid shots. She can hit those shots fine and gets her confidence up. When you make solid contact the ball is gonna go. Half swing to get her out of trouble and then her great putting to finish the hole strong. You got this Lauren.
Good effort from Lauren to learn all she has up to now, and put it into practice. Nice to see it all in a fun way too, and I wish her well for the next period of development. Shes good enough to take it much further with commitment practice and positive thinking. Be good to watch more of these too! :)
I seriously feel this young lady is on information overload, she's playing golf swing instead of playing golf.
Love your channel. Teaching my daughter your confidence and that gangsta smooth golf swing!
Claire is the best cheerleader….every shot is amazing! 😎
Fun video
I agree. Wish I had that kind of support when I'm out on the course, lol.
Would probably be good to start with breaking 100 and then go to 90. I think if I recall from another video she’s never broken 100? Great lessons so far! Breaking 90 is such a hard thing to do
Lauren deffo getting the FEEL for the swing. Totally different to a couple of episodes back, much more of a coiled spring action; only a matter of time until she's nailing 280 yard drives. Impressive.
I agree.... we need a season 2 of this series. So much fun to watch
I agree with the information overload, but just keep swinging, you'll figure it out! Love the series!
Good instruction from the instructor for a new golfer; i.e., don't try to kill it; nice, easy swing. I would only add: she should keep her head down through the swing. So many new golfers pull their head.
Lauren may be the most entertaining person on YT
Excellent on course instruction-Lauren's back swing is nearly perfect, then like most of us, she loses spacing on the downswing--A great Tiger tip to promote a "horizontal swing", is to keep your Butt back - Set up with your back foot and back knee SLIGHTLY more towards the left, and then swing your normal swing.
thanks Claire!
These are wonderful videos. I feel like Lauren is really in her head right now, so this play where she concentrates on just a few things was helpful for her.
Really nice enjoyable series with Lauren and Claire. Love it. IMO the one thing Lauren should do to complete her swing journey is to snap her wrists and force the club head down into the ball to close the club face. I know this is sacrilegious to teaching pros, but most amateurs can't square the club face without doing this because their hands are too far forward, and the club face is open.
Lauren is really a pretty damn good putter. Thanks to Claire. I’m sure those hugs don’t hurt either!
Lauren, imo I think it would be helpful to shorten your swing a bit. When anyone over swings it makes it much more difficult to get the club face back to square. I believe that is why your full shots tend to start right and continue right.
Good luck in your round Lauren. Your game is coming along great.
golf is forever changing game, your always tweaking game because your learning new techniques, and as you get older your style of play changes because you're losing flexibilities and strength. nice job today
Great series. Keep them coming.
Keep it up Lauren! The course is the best place to learn . ( as I say that to myself)!
Hey Claire!
Any chance of getting Coach on to give Lauren some tips? (Or just for the bantz) Would be good to see him again now Golfholics is no more.
Keep up the amazing varied content - you’re smashing it!
GH shutting down is a total bummer. Coach just seems like a great guy. Rest of them good folks, too
Good luck Lauren ! Remember to have fun ..and you will do just fine )
I love watching you ladies on this journey and the instruction from the teachers is amazing but lol I'm waiting on a ladies vs good good scramble please and thank you
Wow. Going to try that. Great vid
That was in my opinion the best instructor so far. Very good Lauren, keep it up.
Love this series so informative can't wait to see how lauren goes
Hope y’all are havin fun, it’d be cool to see y’all do some 1v1 handicap challenges or something where y’all just relax instead of taking each shot as serious
Also nice putting stroke ❤️
Wish we could get some more Claire and GM Golf vids.
Claire...the instruction provided to Lauren was phenomenal. Although I'm no where near the golfer as yourself or other RUclips golfers this type of instruction should probably be spread out (i.e., one new instruction per month) a bit more. But, who am I...this is what would be more effective for me. Great series nonetheless and I hope it clicks for Lauren...great attitude. Blessings...
Great job on the Lagshot commercial
KEEP IT UP LAUREN
I think because off the tee Lauren hit the ball to the right, that she should tee off on the right side of the tee box and aim to the left side of the fairway, giving her a chance to hit the fairway.
I think the little sway back and forth thing right before playing caused a lot of issues to be honest. She's had several lessons already and has been working on what she learned there. Why introduce something brand new to her as she walks on the course?
My thoughts exactly....each "coach" is different. This guy .....would not waste my money on...She needs someone to tighten up her swing. Her loosey goosey wrists prevent face control and she has the typical beginner's slice/push type shots. Journey to break 90 could be "awhile"......Maybe journey to break 100 would be better
@@tommills6123 "This guy" is Dana Dahlquist. One of the top coaches. Pros seek him out. What he's trying to teach here is flow and athleticism in the swing. This is the best way to teach new players rather than positions. Lauren is lucky to get lessons from guys like George Gankas and Dana Dahlquist!!!!
@@navedaftab5773 George was good.....Dana not so much. I have had lessons from top coaches. His methodology does not fit with what she needs at this point....I saw no improvement plus a Cheerleader for bad shots...
yes agreed, that sway will move her off the ball and she will have trouble with the location of her club face at the bottom of her swing.
Lauren is such a sweetheart!
This should be a break 100 series.
This is fun to watch. Lauren is progressing very fast. Golf is hard.
I like this series! Great video Claire
Hello Claire! Nice high quality content.
Target is still he objective, just remember to swing the club to the target. The ball isn’t your target, it just gets in the way.
If you golf in Arizona must try the AK-Chin Southern dunes it’s an amazing course
Lauren seems like the nicest girl in the world
13:51 big facts
Great video
Great listening to the video. Love it.
Using a rope is a great drill to learn lower body movement before the swing.
I’m with others…info overload. I feel ONE coach teaching her once a week with Claire supervising practice session would be faster. Then again, this is as much (or more) about creating varied content as it is scoring
Lauren is a cutie! Oh and Claire's ok too haha
Love the grind! Can we get her to control her hands. She opens them at take away and has no foward shaft lean at impact so she blows it out right.
Ya, now that I think about it, I'm up for season 2. But you don't have to fail at 90; just make the next goal 85!
Lauren’s swing looks great, just feel like she hasn’t quite learned why the face is when it comes to hand eye coordination yet but with practice that will come
Priscilla and I approve.
Keep at it Lauren, you are getting there. #par3challenge
Great series... o h wait...are they playing golf, too?
Are there any practice sessions after these lessons?
Poor Dana 😻
Another great video clarie you are an absolutely amazing golfer and extremely beautiful.
Hello clarie
If I could give Lauren ONE piece of advice I would tell her to straighten that trail leg on the backswing. That will get her right hip to go BACK, which will give her a bigger and better turn w/ more tilt. It will also tilt her hips. It'll get her to put MORE pressure into the ground w/ her right foot. All this +more POWER. If she could JUST work on that ONE move it will help her out a ton. SEE MICKEY WRIGHT. Jennifer Kupcho also does this really really well. The swaying?? Not a fan! Good luck!!!!
Was a different person using the camera this time? It seems a little shaky.
do you take part in the pro lady's golf tournaments
Lauren is so damn cute
Would love to see you teach Grant's girlfriend how to play, would be a great series.
Is Lauren rockin stix?
when are you gonna golf with garrett
Are we betting and giving odds on her breaking 90? Or who can guess her score?
Sad to say this poor gal won't break 90 by 2027.
Claire, I, have none of the job qualifications you are looking for in an assistant but can I still get a job interview?? haha
Too many pros, too much info to digest. Just take it easy and you will get there.
Weird seeing them on the other side of the range at the golf course down the street from me
Is Lauren done with breaking 90?
stay down through the shot!
I am looking forward to the day Claire and Lauren are brunettes and the lessons hit double digits .(pure sound of Lauren's swing - you just know she is getting better) growing the game Claire - thanks.
Black Hole Sun, anybody?
We all know this , why wouldn’t Lauren play from the right side of the tee box playing her cut to give her more room to possibly hit the fairway? I love the series and Lauren’s ability to roll with the punches and the 1,000 thoughts preswing , but this one was lackluster for me.
Claire! You have great legs!
I agree!!
Does she have a kid now?
Here is my 2 cents worth…. I don’t think Lauren is controlling the golf club on her swings that are more than chips. If you notice, during her child she actually controls the club well and does a pretty good job chipping. On the swings that are more than chips, she is not controlling the club. I think she should engage her arms, shoulder and pectoral muscles and be a bit more rigid and stiff and not wobbly or floppy. In other words, engage muscles enough to control the club like she does on chips but not over engage.
Seen her warm up. No way she breaks 90
FIRST MOVE with her hands at the top is OUT towards the ball. So she HAS to cut across it with her shoulders.
She won't get far unless you fix that.
We need to get Tequila Karol out to play a round with the two of you.
Mas Tequila Karol!
She’s just gotta close the face a little and that slice will go away. And then feel around the greens comes with practice and practice and practice. Need confidence
shes got a ncie pair of clubs
When the instructor called you caddy one caddy 2, he was calling you caddy 2. You were interfering with his teaching. Why invite them if all you going to do is undermind his experience.
Wayyyy to many cooks in the kitchen
Please learn Lauren not to jump on the green and explain her why....thanks
Lauren stuck in tutorial hell. just needs to go play more instead of all this info
She really needs to focus on ONE thing at a time.
At the top, keep her right hand cocked back as far as possible and then hold on to that position until impact.
She's still hitting 'at' the ball with her shoulders.
It’s gonna be tough 💪😬…
Can’t wait to see the final results! 🫣
Seems to me that having Lauren get lessons from all different teachers is counterproductive. Have you seen the meme of the cat that wants to make a huge leap from the top of the fridge to the top of a door, and all around the cat's head are quadratic algorithms, geometric formulae, trigonometry symbols, etc?? That's what Lauren looks like when she swings. The teachers have sucked all the natural rhythm she may have had and she's trying to remember a ton of instructions. If I were working with her, I'd tell her to swing naturally, and maybe have a bit stronger grip to close the clubface a little and have the club wind up extending toward right-field. That should help her propensity for hitting everything to the right. Just my $0.02
I can’t believe how gorgeous you are
