I have just purchased your Infinite Ocean 1.5 and I am positively speechless. What a brilliant product. Great tutorial too, but I am glad I have the real thing now!!!!
Cinema 4D is not a game it´s 3d animation software. Just saing some people use Cinema 4D professionally for animation. This tool is really good for ocean animations and also not expensive.
@kainkun100 Just to say. All games are animations. Every video is an animation. Its a Animation of life and forms. Games are videos. Every button is a button on a controller. Its just a 3D dimesional world where u can press A and jump!
Uhm... no. Games are not animations, although they may contain animations. Games are composed of many conditional statements such as "if user presses A, then make character jump." That may require character animation to look good, but games can be made without any animation. I know it's simple, but look at pong.
I agree. Game's engines are a lot different than Cinema 4D.. and an animation works a lot different than games works.. animations frames are exported to some img files and then animated.. in games all things are real time calculated.. so realistic water (and all things in games) are a lot harder to make and need optimizations.. this works isn't drag and drop Cinema 4D project files in a software dedicated to game programming...
WoW! Really amazing :) And just one question with this displaced object. It's nice way and simple but cannot work properly with dynamics, don't know why. When I try on it dynamics and simple ball drop down from "sky" it not work properly, why? It's looks like displaced object is a square not exactly shape rendered in final. Ball is above of it and move a little like this deformation. Any help? (Rigid body on plane and this ball)
Thank you so much man, best ocean tutorial out there ;) ! Do you happen to know how i could keyframe the displacement to export as fbx animation? cheers
Nice waves and good instructions, one can however work more with the light. I'm particularly interested in animating something that is under the water and can be seen from above the water, do you have any tips for that, in that case it would be nice of you to share them.
Are you using a certain type of render engine? Because when I press render I just get a dark blue water, no reflection, refraction. The background is also black.
When I click at the arrow like you do it at 2:03 , I come back to the standard shader settings. For 12 minutes now I try to figure out how I get there. Is there any other way? oO I'm using C4D R14
How to assign buoy (at the end of tutorial) into water material to look like it's moving on waves, or I have to animate it manually? (but it doesn't looks like anim. manually on vid)
I'm using Cinema 4D R14.025 Studio and when i create a "material" and select "bump" and "noise", when i change to "displaced turbulence" the "noise" changes to the same, it isn't like in your video, that "noise stays" at the global scale of 75% and "displaced turbulence" at 100%. They both change to 100%. I even tried to deactivate "noises" in options. Also my "specular" does nothing to the water, it doesn't reflect the sunlight like yours do. Help please! :(
This is the best Tutorial i have see in 2014.

This is surely a very useful and outstanding plugin.
one of the best tutorial i have seen in my life シ plz make more tutorial
The foam is a procedural noise texture placed on top of the water with an animated alpha channel which is also procedural noise.
Great job
Wooow That was awesome, The water looks real O_O

How did it take you an hour? The tutorial is 8min.
Steven C. I'm retarded

yo
thx for saving my ass even 4 years later
love you, man
A beautiful water element? But why did they take expresso?

awsome good job
it worked but i can't run it in that rendered form . pls help

you're a genius you know...

Amazing... just epic
do you know how to make water take a particular shape?
Does Infinite Ocean works with R25?
How do you have the main view rendering all the time?
Nice waves and good instructions, one can however work more with the light. I'm particularly interested in animating something that is under the water and can be seen from above the water, do you have any tips for that, in that case it would be nice of you to share them.
Ayuda, por favor, no se como descargar el océano infinito ingresé al enlace, pero veo muchas opciones y no sé cuál dar.
Please, have you an another link ?? Please you made a super tutorial !
Awesome
Amazing tuto!
Wich computer do you have?
Do they make movie like this? looks like it
Is there a way to make this loop perfectly?
Okay, this was helpfull, but what if want the surface look rougher more real ?
Then maybe think about preocedural simulation inside Houdini. Much complexe, but very realistic look tho.
This reminds me of the xcube one with added kinoct animation by elementanimation
why can't i run the water in textured mode i want to see it moving in that beautiful farm on my screen. pls rply
Awesome ! But, what was your lightroom ?
help please as I download the infinite ocean entered the link but I see many options and I do not know which one to give
How do you make a grid on your plane module (sea) ?
the link for infinite ocean doesn't work
c4depot.com/c4d-plugins/infinite-ocean/
Any updates for octane?
Nice
This is amazing than hot4d plug in
Thanks so much ;)
Is this the most realistic you can get?
nice
Thank you!
Блин, я вродь как не изучаю английский язык, но всё понимаю что ты делаешь! Топ ! =)))
What about the foam on the water?
Cant find the shading tab
Who needs realflow anymore for creating this kind of ocean :D
thank you
thanx
please make a tutorial for tsunami because i want an intro like a tsunami crush the text from background =) PLZ that should be AWESOME! man!!
I think you should use realflow for that.
Are you using a certain type of render engine? Because when I press render I just get a dark blue water, no reflection, refraction. The background is also black.
Because he has a physical sky. Go under where your floor is located and it should be there if you dont already know where it is
Thanks. I've already found it
thanks a super-lot man!!!(y)
When I click at the arrow like you do it at 2:03 , I come back to the standard shader settings. For 12 minutes now I try to figure out how I get there. Is there any other way? oO
I'm using C4D R14
hm its hard to go back to the noise changer huh?
Freakz doesn't work for me either.
Use Infinate ocean! Lol.
thanks dude
How much time to render final animation?
They render it with realflows hybridos or similar.
please help
I don't have "Layer" under Displacer/Shader
(C4D Studio R14)
How do I make the waves higher? Which parameter do I have to change for that?:)
Displacer---->Object---->High ;)
What are the specs of your machine?
would be cool if infiniteocean was free, great tutorial though
how do i save it as a movie ?
I did not get it how do you creat Material?
How did you make the foam?
sir i have a c4d r16 and i want specular
How to assign buoy (at the end of tutorial) into water material to look like it's moving on waves, or I have to animate it manually? (but it doesn't looks like anim. manually on vid)
check out this, bro: Boat on Water - Cinema 4D tutorials
He explains it well
Thank You! :)
I feel like such a cheater using your tool ahahah, good work man
Kkkkkk
