I'm impressed. When I was younger and bicycle touring a 100 km day was pretty standard but that was on pavement. Now, I can't imagine a 100 km day on my fat bike even unloaded! I live in Calgary so I know some of the trails you showed in the Little Elbow area.
What an unbelievable trip... this was before I'd found your channel. A multiple month bike trip away from everything!! Just unreal. Loving the beautiful footage, as well as the witty commentary.
Living the life Man! Don’t ever second guess or let someone tell you your crazy. There’s a million 70yr olds wishing they would have done the Adventures your doing.
Foresty Forest living the life many of us only dream about, keep it up! Crossing creek trail is a challenge on a motorized vehicle, I've been up on atv, so it's pretty amazing to see you biked/pushed over it! Beautiful country back there too!
Been looking forward to seeing this act by act since you announced the trip, thanks for finding the time to share while on your adventure. atb from Scotland
Glad to see Forestry is back! . great act 1 .. Keep them coming , show more camp setup and life in camp r&r in evenings. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
So happy to see you back out there Foresty. Your videos are always awesome. I’ve missed watching your adventures but it was great that you put out the Van life videos in between.
Nice to see a fat bike on that trail. If you want to race, their not the fastest choice, but, if you're not super pressed for time, their a fantastic, and durable option. Nice video!!
Nice to see your having fun! I have been looking forward to seeing your post about your bike trip. Awesome scenery! Thanks for taking time and post the video!
Glad to see you back on tour Forest. I’ve always appreciated your humble approach. I don’t think I’ve ever heard you complain on any of your videos. Very refreshing from most of the cycling content on the tubes.
I'm always absolutely fascinated by mountains and their illusion of being smaller than they really are. I'm not sure if its just because im watching a video. But look at 4:01 The mountains really dont look all that big, until you start to look at the tree's in the distance, you suddenly get an idea of just how huge they really are.
This is the coolest video on RUclips, watching it is like being on the trail itself, thanks for the the time and effort to make those journeys, I watched all of them.
FROM 'STUCK IN THE TOXIC CITY TOO LONG' TO THAT FIRST MORNING AFTER A GOOD, QUIET, OUTDOOR CLEAN AIR SLEEP, YOU WERE IN A WONDERLAND OF CANADIAN ROCKIES!! GD 4 U !!!
Yea!! you're back!! Great to see you back on the trail and like the short video, but hopefully day by day-ish content updates... music, we need you're music though!
Great one! Can’t wait for the next. This is why you live in a van. Those views are worth every cold or every hot night, I’m sure. You truly sound happy! Did you notice?
Every time I watch your videos I get hit with such an intense wanderlust it takes all my will power not to hop on my bike and disappear into the woods.
Given when you started, I surmise that by now your ride is over. Apparently you survived! ;-) You've been and remain an inspiration to adventure cyclists. I join with the rest in thanking you for your artistic contribution to the cycling community.
Oh man, my favorite and closest relative/aunt (RIP 2016) lived on Todt Hill in Staten Island. You would've had a free place to stay, choice of spare bedroom, free meals, transportation, anything you'd want. I would've just required you to like autograph the like behind a door or cabinet in return.
Hey man sweet vid. Looks like a wickid scenic route, thanks for laying it all out on the map. I'm just getting into overnight hike+bike trips, maybe I'll try this route someday when I have more time and confidence.
"Looks like it's going to pass" cut to rain storm :-) ...90% rideable...50% rideable...40% rideable...I'm glad you can keep your sense of humor faced with that awesome effort. Too bad solar panel and battery technology hasn't progressed to the point where you could wear a flexible solar panel on your back/on the bike that had enough juice to keep an ebike battery powered up so you could get some help on those hills. Keep ridin'... maybe in a few years...
Yup just keeping the phone charged was a lot of effort. We are still in the dark ages of battery technology unfortunately. But i can't imagine touring these places before gps existed. I imagine eventually an app with every bikepacking trail highlighted, then you just piece together your own routes on the fly.
This is awesome. Just found your channel. I really need to hang up my road bike and get into bike packing.... oh, where to start. So many bikes to decide from.
I find it so fascinating that there are these random shelters located throughout the mountains.
I've seen a few in the Sierras
This is so healing for just watching.
Hard work is an understatement. You have a drive in you like no other. You have so many wonderful qualities. All the good things wrapped up in one 😊🌱💖
Can't believe this guy doesn't have more followers.
Great vid. Be safe.
Mark Sha give it time.

Wow, such beautiful country. I love solo biking, too, but you have big brass ones to do it in such wilderness areas alone. Awesome footage!
I can watch your videos all day man! they are so soothing.
Oxeye daisy at 7:31, leaves on stem are tasty and both leaves and flowers make a nice chamomile type tea.
right on! i love your bike packing videos
I need to try this bike packing .. The trees rivers & camping in your videos are great. Hard work but very rewarding.
