Works. Actually did this drill back in the day (70’s-90’s) as a kid into my late 20’s. 92’ I started doin them in Strength Shoes all the way thru 97’. I was 28yo, 6’1.5”, 205lb with a 37” vertical. Ended up with (OATS) knee surgery due heavy Squat routine I had. Hind site 20/20, wish I never went heavy and stayed with bodyweight and light resistance.

I can tell you I started doing this a couple times a week a few weeks ago and have legit added inches to my vertical. It works.
I got some bounce! But not dunking yet, gonna try this
