[Memory of Encaustic Tile 昔有琉璃瓦] Inside the Beijing hutongs where professionals who engage in art conservation and restoration live is a story between a museum conservator and a translator. Shao Xue, Zheng Su Nian, and Zhang Qi are children of museum conservators. They share many experiences growing up having lived through the SARS epidemic, the death of their loved ones, and the old city being demolished to forge a deep friendship with each other.
As they grow up, everyone starts to choose different paths. Influenced by Zheng Su Nian's mother, Shao Xue is unwilling to give up the infinite possibilities of the future for the sake of love and leaves home to search for greener pastures. Zheng Su Nian inherits the legacy left by his mother to become a conservator-restorer and finds meaning through the preservation of cultural artifacts. Zhang Qi earns the opportunity to study abroad due to his mathematical skills. Before leaving, he decides to bury his feelings for Shao Xue. In spite of their feelings for each other, Shao Xue and Zheng Su Nian part ways due to their respective pursuits. They meet again after a long time, giving a chance for the seeds planted in their youth to sprout once more.

Oh my.. accidentally clicked seeing Lin yi's new show and now I can't get over. Usually I don't watch as and when a new drama is aired as I hate the waiting period. This is going to be the testing period of my patience to wait till this drama ends to binge watch it.

There are no imaginary CEO or super powers ,it is just about the love and bonding between the people and their struggles that they face together. In the end, a song was requested for Gu Weiyi, which was Lin Yi's name in Put Your Head On My Shoulder. 🤭Anyway, I'm getting good vibes from this drama.

"Memory Of Encaustic Tiles" is such a phenomenal, contemporary, and overwhelming drama! Although, at some points, I found it kinda similar to "Go Ahead", however, now, I could feel its difference.
A little bit about characters:
Sunian: The character to whom I can't take my eyes off. Infinitely loves him wholly the most!
Xue: The character to whom I can relate to since we share similar personalities to much extent.
Qi: Nonplussed. Only feels desperate to find a best friend like him!
Shiyin: Found annoying at first but now her confidence, fashion sense, decisiveness is only what I could think of at the moment.
Huan: His gentle and kind behavior is worth watching for.
Haoran: Although, he played an antagonist role but I still wanted him and Shiyin to be together. Second most handsome character, imo.
Ya: She deserved Han.
