- "Save the Dog" (AKA "Go For Broke") was a Made-for-TV movie which aired in 1988. It was never released on VHS or DVD. In fact, as far as I can tell it was never released anywhere. Luckily, my parents happened to record it off TV when it was airing. I copied their old VHS tape to MP4 and did my best to minimize the terrible buzzing in the background. I know the picture quality isn't very good (The coloring is definitely losing it's integrity, and there is quite a bit of grain and scratch) But I thought some other Cindy Williams fans might be happy to see this TV classic. Earphones help with the audio quality :-)
This movie has me rolling with laughter Cindy Williams will forever be my favorite actress of all time and the most beautiful angel of all ♥️ 😇
I LOVE this Movie! Disney needs to put this on Disc & restore it. Plus streaming
Been looking for this for many years. It was a favorite as a kid in the late 80s. Turns out they filmed it in Austin, where I lived for several years. I had no idea. Thanks for posting
RIP Cindy
I’ve never heard of this film before, but when I saw the cast names in the opening credits, I had to watch it. Have to admit that I’ve been there: once had a cat who was diagnosed with lung cancer and I learned the hard way that with no funds, vets will say “sorry, can’t help you.” Had to take a payday loan out just so the cat could be put to sleep in a reputable facility. Definitely not the way I wanted to say goodbye, but sometimes you can only do so much.
This was composed by J.A.C. Redford.
Cindy Williams is my all time favorite actress ever and she is hilarious in this and super adorable im having soo much fun watching this thank you so much 💕 🥰
Watched this in honor of Cindy. 🥰
I just found out about her death. I'll have to add her to my prayer intentions! RIP Cindy.
What a wonderfully silly movie.
Great movie for kids. Loved Cindy - so sad at her passing.
both Schnausers in this movie!
I remember this movie when it came out in 1988 on the Disney Channel and I loved it and it was so funny. Why Disney never released it on VHS or DVD is something I never will figure out. I know you talk about picture and quality but the fact that you have it and sharing it is all worth it. So thanks for uploading it.
You're so welcome! The picture quality isn't actually as bad as I thought. It certainly doesn't make the movie unwatchable. I'm just so glad my parents saved it! It's such a funny movie. Glad you enjoyed seeing it again.
@@bellarose9971 the picture quality is beautiful and Cindy Williams is so beautiful thank you for uploading this 💗
Thank you for your effort. I love Cindy.

I used to watch this at my nan's. Thank you for uploading this. I feel like im back at her place in 1988
It's a rare treasure. LOL.
I remember seeing this on TV as a kid and I really liked it.
Now it seems a little cheesy, but it’s still good.🙂
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I'm shocked i've never heard of this movie before. The opening credits are painfully long but I'm going to solder through. Fascinating how Cindy Williams never once diverted from that hairstyle. Bangs for life.
Kind of like Jennifer Aniston in that way.
Thank you for this. I loved this movie as a kid.
You're welcome 😊
I definitely remember watching this as a kid and liking it...for some reason! The scene of them almost being crushed in the trash compactor always stuck with me and made me remember this film!!
Thank you for posting this! I remember having this on VHS tapes from TV but have never been able to find it. Great movie, can't wait to watch it and reminisce
You're welcome! I'm very glad my mom recorded it. I never knew it was so rare until I tried to find it on DVD for her one year. That's when I digitalized it ☺️
