- Braveheart ist ein US-amerikanischer Film aus dem Jahr 1995 mit Mel Gibson in der Hauptrolle als William Wallace. Gibson ist auch Produzent und Regisseur. In weiteren Rollen sind Sophie Marceau, Brendan Gleeson und Angus Macfadyen zu sehen. Der Film erhielt fünf Oscars, unter anderem in den Kategorien Bester Film und Beste Regie.

Makes me prouder to be Irish because no matter how many times we got our arses kicked we came back and won our freedom, poor William started Scotlands fight for freedom and Robert de Bruce finnished it only for kingJames to take the first step in giving it away in 1604 by the union of crowns making Scotland's parliament a vastle of the English parliament and that voted to be abolished in 1709 and independence to be rejected again in 2014
I am not scottish, but bosnian...eversince I bought an pirate cd in I think 1997 on market in sarajevo named "celtic experience" this song follows me through some most grounded moments of my life. Like this sunday, this very peacefull sunday, where I just had some hours to think about our purpose, the people I love, their health, the years we share(d)...that's the melody that appears out of "nothing " like it comes to even it all out and to say "all is well".
