  • Most of our calves hit the ground and are up and sucking within an hour of life. Jellyfish is not most calves. She is determined in spite of adversity and has an innate dramatic flair.

    Heifer Calf, eh?? Incredible! Less than 18 hours!! Oh!!! So she's a Herford!! I heat that adult Herfords, be they Cows or Bulls, tend to have a bit of an attitude!! I'm a RUclips expert on Livestock! 😁 Honestly, I've actually learned a lot because of Farmers like you who post these vids!!

      @@spaceace1006 not a fan of Herefords myself😂, but for the most part this heifer is a gentle girl. The attitude was out of character and only there because her calf not moving like she should was stressful! …..at least I think so 🤔. We will b keeping an eye on her next spring to make sure this isn’t a trend.

    Get that calf some selenium!

    • @spaceace1006
      @spaceace1006 Месяц назад

      Isn't selenium toxic??? I remember on Cammus II Dr. Janice Lester murdered her entire staff by exposing them to selenium!! Dr. Lester just happened to be an ex-girlfriend of James Kirk. He dumped her because she was bloody psycho!

    Horse owners sometimes do want is called the madagin squeeze on foals. That’s in addition to anything else the vet recommends.

      I’ve seen a lot of cattle guys do it too, never have tried to do it myself yet but isn’t it often used for a lethargic calf/foal with no suck reflex? This calf had plenty of try and suck reflex, just no coordination.

    Jellyfish may have jelly for legs ,but jellyfish has a brilliant brain finding the warm straw bedded barn just before the snow fell.

      She is thriving, she still runs a bit funny, but doesn’t let it stop her from keeping up with the other calves!

    #1 Pump the mothers milk, and feed the calf. She only has colostrum for a short time. #2 Call vet. #3 film if and only if she is Ok.

Stop making jokes about the situation. The calf seems to possibly have some neurological issues. Turn off the camera and take care of the problems.
