Forza does that a lot, they dont want to make the older generations obsolete. Hopefully we get some customization in the future just for the Mk8 now that more aftermarket companies have their hands on them.
GOLF MK8R. The car needs an urgent update to the DSG. the manual is much slower... on top of that 40nm less... the handling and sound is the same as the mk7, they didn't bother to change it or record one either. then the rpm are bugged, the steering wheel is somewhat smaller than the real model... I requested an update to dsg on the forza forum, it can be found as multiple transmission options. Apart from the handling, which they say is almost the same as that of the mk7r. when a mk8r is 27 seconds faster in nürburgring
@@DUBSmb ABS doesn't do much in FH5 for drifting when every car has like a million HP. But in real life with low HP car you Lock up the wheel on purpose and put the car in drift. Of course there are other ways to initiate a drift on a low power car.
what? how does that make any sense? why would anyone ever lock their front wheels on purpose for a drift entry? The whole point of ABS is to stop that from happening so your front end has as much grip as possible when you're trying to flick. Very experienced drivers don't use it because they don't need it. In a video game especially it's different but only to a certain extent. I don't turn ABS off or on because I cannot be bothered and it makes no difference drifting in a video game
Problem for me is the old one has way more customization options, and has the same engine swap for max power.

I hate how wrong they get the sound of this car no matter the exhaust; there are some good sounding Golfs out there but in Forza they all sound horrid
Completely agree. They sound soul less in the game
dude same.
honestly, it was disappointing
one of my friends has one and the exhaust sound was not done justice at all... its like they didnt try
And it if it’s stock it doesn’t even rev to redline properly. Only 6K rpm
I would love to see a video trying out a rally race with the drift cam to see your opinion on how it feels
They still dont have mk5 gti / r32 😢
The graphics issues are because of DLSS. I turned it off and turned DLAA on, frame rates went from 144 to 100 but the game looks 20 times better
I have this car irl, and have had such a problem picking wheels. This should fix that
Lol did it end up working?
@@johnbrown562 It helped me know what not to get! I got Rotiform TUF-Rs

Have you checked out the Golf Mk8.5? VW said that the Golf GTI and R in 2024/5 model years will be in DSG only, which is good news for you.
Hey DUBS big fan. I played fh4. When drifted on dirt clutch dumping it and use e-brake helped getting them longer drift corners. Just an FYI
its looks just like the same golf R we have here in South africa
Personal best on the drag is a 16.8 with stock engine mk7 stock engine 16.6 and 15.8 with the 2.5 both mk7-8
I'm pretty sure the trailing is nvidia dlss if you turn it off it goes away
Did anyone else noticed the size difference on brake calibers?
Compared to what
@@ClappyCakes I think they're referring to the front to rear.
@@thegiovannimauro yep
@@Nylander2004 That’s how every car is for the most part. Front brakes are usually bigger.
The front brakes are bigger on this car irl. The front calipers are 2 pistons, and the rear are 1
I like it as a A class race car.
Forza .6 mile drag at festival results
Mk6 with i4 ran 16.2 👑
Mk7 ran 16.6
Mk8 ran 16.8
Although the 2.5 in the mk7-8 ran the same time at 15.8
Huh, looking into it, yep, the European wheel is different from the American version. Interesting.
question dubs but from all the cars you have do you have like any stance build cars or just cars u build just to be clean?
whereis the golf 5? every other is in the game. why is this one not?
Dubs, can you share your tunes from these videos? I would really like to use some of them!:)
Buggy af! Look at the brake callipers 😂
Bummer it’s just as fast as the 7 r
Make a touge run with this car
You drift with ABS on?? Damn
do you know what ABS does?
@@DUBSmb Helps prevent wheels from locking up. I was asking because you are the first person I see to drift with ABS on.
helps prevent wheels from locking up when you do what?
