    awesome. a great level of the historical experiment. please tell more about technology, why use deer brain? liquid in a clay pot in the end of video, what is it?

      the deer brain is a perfect emulsified oil solution when mixed with warm water. the oil from the brain lubricates the hide fiber structure and allows it to be opened up and softened. they say every animal has just the right amount of brains to tan its own hide. the clay pot at the end contains deer fat with some pine sap. I use that to help waterproof moccasins. thanks for tuning in.
