As an atheist, this shit was hilarious. The vision board shit killed me because I actually know atheists that believe in that kind of stuff. “God isn’t real but me wishing for things or ‘manifesting’ them will actually work by some cosmic energy” or whatever the hell they say. Atheism is not believing there are any gods. Agnosticism is a separate topic. It's about knowldege and whether it is possible to prove or have absolute certainty about whether gods exist. My grandmother was so religious. She went to church all during the week and had the Bible memorized. Her son, my uncle was so proud to be an atheist/agnostic that he would just tell anyone whether they cared or not. He would puff out his chest and smile and tell people to see what their reaction would be. Unfortunately, my cousin his son got cancer. My uncle called me up and said that he had asked my grandmother to pray for my cousin. And I said to him, and who is she supposed to pray to? You don’t believe in God or Jesus. Now something is going wrong and you want her to pray. Made no sense to me.

I have a problem withpeople who try to force their religious beliefs on me or my children. If someone says to me that their religion do want allow them to do something I am fine with that I wont force you to do something that is against what you believe. However if they tell that their religion doesn't allow me to do something I tell them to f%&k off.

But atheism is not only the killer of faith, It is the easy way to the law of the jungle. Who tells you what’s right and wrong. Wrong and wrong. Faith is not just about hope, it's also about lack of evidence or even evidence to the contrary, and it's not about abstract improvement, but an entite belief system. You can have a lot of hope without faith.

I grew up in the church and had to leave later on, largely due to the hypocrisy, but still have a very strong belief in God. I've met so many good people on both sides. We only have our own experience so there's not much use in judging anyone else for having different beliefs..

I mean if you want to believe that the biblical narratives carry the same significance as a fairy tale, that's okay, but even someone who believes they're ahistorical should be able to recognize they're deeply profound when it comes to what they have to say about the human person. Fairy tales don't hold up to that. People aren't interested in them because they're entertaining.
