Thank you for your presentation. It was excellent. I'm a Lay Buddhist. I was brought up in London and learnt Vipasssana Theravada Meditation in 1981, when I was 32 yrs., at the Thai Buddhist Temple in Wimbledon South London. But I never became a Monk. Things went awry when I discovered I had been killed in North West Germany in WW2 in th e UK Army. I also know Germans who died in that war and have since been reborn in new physical bodies.. I stayed with my meditation and eventually entered the 8 Buddhist Jhanas. This led me to the Tathagatha, the Cosmic Buddha. I wish you well Ajahn Siripano and thank you for your excellent presentation I myself have just had a stroke and heart attack at 68 but fortunatley I've recovered. Of course I am of the Nature to Die just like everybody else!! In my last incarnation I died at 31 - this time I've lasted until 68! But I accept death as a natural process. Maybe this time I will make 80.
Nothing is certain. Sadhu ^^ I have heard the story about Ajarn Chah since I was young because i was born in buddhism however i did not pay any attention. But now the more i read and listen his teaching the more i feel sorry for myself i did not have any chance to meet ajarn chah. But as the buddha said If you see dhamma you see the buddha ^^ Thanks for uploading this wonderful teaching.
In Theravada Buddhism, you can investigate, see and verify the TRUTH for yourself. No need to have blind faith on UNVERIFIEDABLE holybook/scripture. If you have never see/taste an apple, you can only depend on other people description of an apple. In Buddhism, there is a path for you, if you follow the path you can investigate, see and verify the TRUTH all by yourself. No more blind faith. The path is called the "Noble Eightfold Path", the very same path followed by Ajahn Siripanno.
actually, i was beyond shock to learn that... well, at least he didn't become a scum of society, at least he is true to himself sometimes money and fame make you greedy and bad
