Synopsis: Worlds collide in "The Flash" when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

that scene of barry starting the flashpoint is extremely awesome. i for one think this movie deserves way more review. yes some things were off i just wish the cw flash could have made a cameo.
9:30 This is actually a good representation of what we would look like as 4 dimensional beings. It's essentially being in multiple positions in space at 1 time which is why The Flash looks all stretched out and extruded.
100% I took this to show his worldline or "block" which would mean he was in the 4th dimension, which would technically be the method by which Barry would be able to time travel. It's still not a totally accurate depiction but that's the consequence of trying to represent 4 dimensions in a 3D projection viewed on a 2D screen but still very nice and astute effort by the storyboard/visuals team. I dig all the Speedforce sequences. Too bad there wont be anymore..

Yea i really loved this flim's representation of speed force and the new time travel theories apart from those typical time travel concepts in other movies. That retrocausal cause and effect theory explained by keaton was such a delight experience
I’ll let you in on a secret, except it’s not so secret; Einstein figured it out a century ago. We already see in 4 dimensions.
Even with all the ratings, cgi, and actors issues with the movie, I love it so much. The music is “absolutely perfect” and I was just thrilled throughout the movie.
Fk the ratings. They're bad because Ezra has done some controversial stuff and people are review bombing. Ofc CGI was really bad in some places but they had to release it this way because of James Gunn rebooting everything and had to cut off budget(also partly because of Ezra being a dicc). But the movie itself was good and explained stuff well.
His theme is not that much good ,but i really loved the score when he saw his mother in the supermarket
That running scene was cool asf at anytime he could just break time
if you look closely when he started running, it explains why he's running looks "weird" for some people compared to how Makkari runs in the eternals. the moment Barry generates enough speed force energy, it looks like he's just gliding, the speed force is the one giving him the boost in running so fast. think if the speed force as an aura that covers him, if you're looking at Barry from the inside, it looks like the way it is in the clip, but if you're outside or in a normal viewing perspective, it looks like the way he moves in Zack Snyder's JL while he was saving people and preventing them being hit by falling rocks
Also velocity made him take fewer step to travel faster I think

Idk its looks like long jumping run is make sense to me tho, imagine your legs move like 100r/s and moved 10km with your legs move like 1r/s and the distance you traveled still the same, I would choose the 2nd one
I saw this movie with a couple friends in the theater. We had a blast
I like that the entire thing was shot in IMAX. And it's just the default aspect ratio. I don't see the point of just shooting certain scenes. You should shoot the whole thing in that same aspect ratio.
It’s because it wasn’t shot on imax, it’s just using the 1.90.1 aspect ratio. Any theater you saw this movie in, it was going to show this aspect ratio. I don’t know why more movies don’t do this, but I suspect they mainly want widescreen.

This movie actually looks better from the comfort of my own home. For some reason I can’t enjoy/encapsulate a movie if it’s not with headphones and by myself. I love experiencing every little detail and sound and a theater doesn’t do it for me. Though maybe it’s because I choose the most basic theater option as to save money. It’s just the other options give me anxiety for some reason.
I can definitely see why. You kinda get scared of what group you're sitting with while watching a movie. I remember watching The Batman and these group of guys two seats down started mocking Roberts Batman, and giggling at stuff that wasn't even funny. Afterwards they started talking about how they weren't "feeling" the film. At home there's nothing to worry about.
@@lordofthesithvader9430 Yeah something like that. Fear of judgement. Not everyone gets as invested in film. We shouldn’t care what those people think, but it doesn’t remove the feeling as silly as it is.
Edit: Also I’m surprised my comment got likes. Guess it resonated with people. I thought it was just me. Sometimes the things that we think are unique to us grab ahold of people’s hearts more powerfully, as they think the same way.
dude, you are missing the added digital film grain that made the movie look great in the theater. It looked amazing when there was no CGI lmao.

It was overheated, but I do see some of the negatives, like it feels very much like they made like 50 scripts and still kept on changing it and the cgi is definitely a fair claim in some scenes, overall it’s not crap, like a 7/10

i think it was hard to watch the movie right away after the CW flash ended, and it wasn’t easy at all to accept the fact that this was the last time we see Grant as the flash. So, we were just so connected to Grant Gustin’s portrayal that we might have wanted to see something similar to it. Now that it’s been a while, I think we can sit down and enjoy that movie for what it is, and move on.
To be honest your right, but I think most of the people just hate Ezra instead of connected to Grant, but good point, I like it.
This movie shows and explains the multiverse way better than any other live action movie

@@sodabutnofizz1294 Movies like No Way Home or Doctor Strange just explain them as alternate universes and grab characters out of thin air. This movie explains how and why these different characters exist, and shows that the multiverse exists as other possibilities.

That was a weird plot to let Strange's spell cause the multiverse and further weird not to explain HOW. And how tf all the Peters already know they're in a different universe and have no confusion
@@thatrawknot really, it doesn’t even explain the multiverse clear, like for example, Batman use spaghettis to explain what a timeline is and how it turns to a multiverse; Spider-Man 2099 tell Miles what is a canon and how it connects the multiverse preventing to fall apart, then how about no way home, I remember Tom hollands Spider-Man saids “ so multiverse is real” and nothing, it doesn’t even explain it.
@@_sayandas doctor stranges spell weakened the boundaries between universes and allowed those spidermen and villans to get pulled over. And the characters know theyre in a different universe because of differences in famous people, big organizations, plus the fact that everything around them warps as seen in venom 2.
This was such a great film. Michael Keaton is fantastic in his return as Batman. Ben Affleck delivered his best performance as Batman/Bruce Wayne, even if it is essentially an extended cameo. It’s a shame Ezra Miller has been such a problematic figure, and the CGI is quite jarringly bad at times. Even so, this is probably one of the best DC films in YEARS. It’s a shame it tanked at the box office.
Agree, Ezra himself also delivered his great acting as two diff Barry with so natural.
Really shame for Ez incidents. Maybe in real world, young Barry is really a representative of EZ himself. As young Barry also get lectures by old Barry in the bat cave :

My wife & I saw the Flash in an almost empty theatre. Epic opening scene (baby shower). 2 excellent Bat-Men + 1. Best superhero movie since Shang-Chi.

I hate how half of the internet is still hate-spraying this movie. Sure, it had some CGI and a visible issue with the ending. But you can't say that the whole movie was a disaster. This scene right here is the scene that sold the movie for me: the way Barry talks to his dad as if he is dead like his mom and him reminiscing the memories of her. It made me feel Barry and relate to him. I loved this movie because I also have a caring mom whom I love and wish her the best wishes. Barry regretting the actions he did to the timeline and after, going back to kill his mom moment is even more touching. And seeing some people gloss over that part of the movie related to his mom makes me feel offended; as if they were sleeping the whole movie and woke up only at the end to see that horrible scene with Clooney. I enjoyed No Way Home, almost cared about Multiverse of Madness, but this movie touches my heart more than any other movie ever could.

This is was such an interesting way of showing the comic book cosmic treadmill if you realize! Unlike the show which revolutionized the way a speedster runs back in time through a speed force portal of showing flashes of events from the past. Which was already unique! The Chronobowl shows him running on some sort of treadmill backwards and the events surrounding him. Extremely original!
Movie is easily one of the best dc films

It’s official. The Snyder cut is canon and but it’s only a matter of time before the long movie leaves Max.
Not really, they were in collage together, they didn’t even mention the Speedforce scene
Which makes Barry's choice to try and change his mom's fate even more of a bad idea and a gamble because even without the whole "Changing the past, changes everything" which the comic also does, Bruce being born in 1972, his parents dying in '81 and Clark landing in 1980, along with the birth of Arthur (1986) and Diana leaving Paradise Island (During WW1) happened long before her dead. The events of Man of Steel and Batman v Superman would still happen the same...but not either cuts of Justice League. Him being the Flash is why they won in the Snyder Cut and how Superman is resurrected in both cuts. No dead Nora, no Flash.
Yet he thought this was a good idea.

I have a headcannon where he ran fast enough that he almost travelled into another universe but he got surprised by the whole thing and slowed and stopped, he got pulled into the "chrono ball" Also its cool that before the young barry tried to time travel, the main barry said he was "too slow", did it anyways but notice how the young barry didnt undergo the same thing when our main barry time travelled the first time. It was because just like our main barry said, young barry was too slow. Anyways this is all head cannon so take it with a grain of salt

The running thing way look wonky, but the CW flash wasn't exactly y'know, running at superspeed, it was just being able to move his limbs really fast and basically just running but 100x more leg movements so he moves faster. IDK how to fully explain it

It gets better on rewatch, but it really was more Back to the Future than an actually superhero movie. There was a way to do both, but it just couldn’t strike the right balance. Since Ezra and his Barry Allen aren’t my favorite, I’m glad they got past this story for something more original in the Gunnverse. Hopefully with a blonde Barry Allen and a red headed Wally West.

@@luscao8444 I’m promise you, the film is great, there are some plot holes but it’s very enjoyable to watch. And about the CGI part, the peoples face are a bit plastic is some scenes, and sometimes the scale of the flash is a bit weird. But anyways the film is great, I watched it 3 times myself.
