While both are affecting time thus in the general time travel umbrella, I feel there's a difference (powers-wise) between justice league which was more "reversing time" which he also showcases 2-3 other times in the Snyder version tho only to small degrees. Then there's "time travel" via the chronodome in the recent flash movie which looks like it exists in its own separate space

Ups and downs. The weaponized cyclone was pretty sweet, but I don't like Miller's 'speed skating Goofy' running style, and I'm not crazy about Barry farting lightning bolts every time he uses his speed, although to be fair, that's more Mark Waid's fault than anyone else's. I never have liked the Speed Force concept. For one thing, it's an all-purpose magic plot device you can pull out of your ass for any reason, which I _deeply_ hate. For another, it just ruins the visuals. The older Flash comics, Barry ran with a flowing speed so that you could almost see him dashing acoss the page from panel to panel. Now that he farts lightning bolts wherever he goes, it just looks like a series of freeze frames without any sense of speed at all. As for the TV show, well, they used it as an excuse to cover holes in the increasingly cheap and shitty CGI as the show went on and the budget dropped. Anyway, this is why I much prefer the pre-Speed Force non-lightning bolt farting Flash. For my money, the Incredibles kind of did Flash better. Also, I don't get why when he's in Flash-time, the sparks from his lightning strikes still fall in real time while everything else around him is frozen or slowed to a crawl. I mean, he's running faster _than_ lightning in that Justice League scene.

Unpopular opinion: I actually like the way he runs. I respect the unique style choice. We got to see Grant Gustin run the "normal" way for many years. I don't wan't or need them to be identical performances.

Honestly I think they visually understand Barry’s Super speed is more so him displaced out of space-time rather than him having hyper movement. I know that’s more so Zoom’s method of super speed but it visually changes our perspective on the speed force from Barry’s perspective.

I haven't seen many people commenting this but i really the sound design of the flash's lightning, in both justice leagues and the solo flash movie. one thing i particularly enjoy is the little sound effect that can be heard when barry stops in josstice league (can be heard in the section starting at 4:07). plus the lightning sounds when barry suits up in the cafe and runs out into the road in the opening of the solo movie is just peak
I absolutely love that sound effect. That little echoing sound that follows when he stops is so damn satisfying to hear.👌👌👌 I also agree on that sound when Barry blasts outta the bathroom door in the cafe. The zooming, heavy boom is badass AF. 🍻
I'll be honest at first i hated it but i really liked the way they adapted the super speed here, if you go frame by frame you only see half second warped silhouettes of Barry running and for the most part he just kinda morphs into a ball of lightning. He really is a FLASH when he runs and i never appreciated it. I can't wait for how James gunn adapts it

@@onpy7863 That would be explained fully in the continuation of this movie. But that would be difficult, considering Ezra's problems. But I see the speedforce as the chronobowl itself. When Barry ran so fast, he almost made that chronobowl around him, if you look the scene closely. The yellow circle lines were all around him. But with all that stress and anger, he crossed the speedforce itself, which is really a big feat, considering how he's just a newbie. But the space time really had to stretch him in order to pull him out of there and into the chronobowl. Which was quite interesting to watch. Wish we could see the scenes with much polished CGI. As for the colour changing of the suit, His actual lightning is blue, but the new suit gives the lightning yellow colour.
5:40 they honestly should've kept the scene of him fighting the Parademons in the Snyder Cut because we dont really see him fight in that version besides the tunnel "fight" and the Superman fight

6:02 i love how in this part, when he talks its all echoey, maybe because the connection to the speed force. But overall love this kind of effect or something that really gets in the character, there are some parts where you can hear the echoing sound like this (1:32, 6:44 and 7:08)
I liked that first effect of Barry's time travel in the solo movie where it's blue and formless, it was kinda how I always imagined a Flash running through the speed force. But I think the time theater (chrono arc?) as a setting was a weird choice whose rusty special effects took away from the movie.

This is so super cool. Superspeed is always been one of my favorites even throughout my childhood. I’m wondering why does our Barry run with a particular running style that looks a little weird. Is it because it helps with his electricity or accelerate his speed? I want to learn everything I can because this is amazing thank you 🙏🏿
We can see that this version of Barry is very slippery while running (seen in the first clip of this video when he just got his powers) because he moves so fast that there is no friction, like when you are on ice. So over time, he learned to move his arms and hands like an ice skater and run in long strides to better increase and control his speed. This is why younger Barry's running looks more normal, but he slips and slides a bit more than older Barry. Sorry for the long comment, but I was curious like you and wanted to share what I found!
Think about it, if you're running that fast, the momentum would cause you to bound and slide more, so he's basically running with low gravity and friction. So he needs to adapt his running form for better handling given that he's practically on hard mode. Peope think it looks weird but it's actually realistic, it's makes more sense that just running normally but sped up
fun theory the way he runs like that is due to he being a unexperienced runner and because he is running to fast he doesnt really have control of the way he runs 6:17 but the thing is barry 2 managed to control his speed? probably since barry 2 has either less speed or tries not to waste his stamina also due to the loss of friction proving less control over it
I have a cool idea for how the DCU handles the SpeedForce. What if they handle it like Wi-Fi. Barry Allen is the generator of the SpeedForce, so he’s like a Router. Any other speedsters like Kid Flash are like devices connecting to that Wi-Fi. The more speedsters, the more complications connecting to the SpeedForce there will be. Due to speedsters other than Barry having to “connect” to the SpeedForce, they can’t just go from 0 to 100 like Barry. They’ll have to build up kinetic energy by running or moving a body part fast to “attract” the SpeedForce. This could be shown visually by the lightning striking the user to charge them up, rather than the lightning coming out of them. For Reverse Flash he’ll be a router like Barry once he creates the Negative SpeedForce.
I think its more like, you have to be VERY careful when you do. Either wrap them in the speedforce or something... Cause the Barry V2 was new at it so he wouldn't know how to carefully handle moving people at high speeds, that's just my head cannon
In the new flash movie it makes the point that Barry can’t go back and change the past or even no matter how many times he tries, the same outcome will still happen. So how was he able to go back multiple times in the just league without any repercussions?
I think it’s because in Justice League Flash is reversing it while staying in the timeline, whereas in the movie he’s stepping outside the timeline and going back.
What happened in Justice League was literally the apocalypse. No matter what repercussions changing the past does, nothing could be worse than that. And the stuff where the same outcome happens, that's a fixed point in time, meaning it's a constant throughout a group of timelines, if you managed to break that, you put yourself in a whole nother universe, hence Flashpoint. Not everything is a fixed point, not every change has equal repercussions, the 2 times he went back in JL, it was only for a few seconds
I mean even before Miller's stupid stuff I hated the kind of Barry he was. He was more suitable as a Bart Allen/Impulse than a Barry. He was so incredibly annoying and then the Flash movie had two of them bickering for an hour straight.
The Flash is one of my favorites in the DC universe, this guy does well as the Flash and i first wonder why he was a beginner im Battle and finally seen why and he became all that awesome 💯.
im ganna be honest i love grant as flash but ezras flash is unique during that reverse you can see his lightnings fixing other parts while hes running its a cool detail plus his version is using speedforce and made his own suit alone no scientist friends help him he train alot on his own he learn how to phase and other use of his abilities on his own bassically he never had a mentor only on his own while CW got a lot of help from others to learn and explore his powers and abilities plus if you understand this properly why he runs that ways if he didnt he will have a big problem hes like controlling his speed as you can see this scene also 10:42 at first glimpse we see him run fast then when he reach that speed his run looks like a normal running but thats what it looks like when hes running fast on his point of view
After I watched this video, I just realized how motherfuckerly powerful The Flash is compared to Superman. Superman maybe stronger and invulnerable but The Flash is faster and powerful and let's not forget that. Also, I have a theory about the suit change. As we all know the suit was made by Bruce for Barry but I don't think it's just for the new look and design. It was actually created to contain the lightning to be directed to one direction which is behind as a trail. If you guys realize before the suit, Barry's lightning just scattered around randomly but after the suit, his lightning is reduced, slick, and neat. And of course, the yellow color effect is a result of the suit technology which also sticks Yellow theme lightning as in the comic.
Do you think this version of the Flash could learn to use all the powers Grant Gustin Flash used in his own show like shooting his lightning or making constructs from that just like how all the Lantern Corps do that with their rings ?
At 4:54 he first redshifts then Blueshifts that means he is near the speed of light.. you need to watch it in 0.25 x speed otherwise won't be able to see it. props to Zack for putting this tiny detail.
Watching this video made me realize one thing When he's running he looks slow as hell while everything else moves suprt fast, but if you look closely he looks kind of blurred all over, mostly his arms and probably legs That's him moving super fast, like how Fans look like one blurry circle when it's actually 3 blades

I'll be honest at first i hated it but i really liked the way they adapted the super speed here, if you go frame by frame you only see half second warped silhouettes of Barry running and for the most part he just kinda morphs into a ball of lightning. He really is a FLASH when he runs and i never appreciated it. I can't wait for how James gunn adapts it

This is kinda of a nod to the suit Flash wore in the New 52 comic run "Out of Time" sporting a Black suit with blue lightning to help remind us of that time.
It actually feels like he's beyond the speed force, beyond the space time continuum.

@@onpy7863 That would be explained fully in the continuation of this movie. But that would be difficult, considering Ezra's problems. But I see the speedforce as the chronobowl itself. When Barry ran so fast, he almost made that chronobowl around him, if you look the scene closely. The yellow circle lines were all around him. But with all that stress and anger, he crossed the speedforce itself, which is really a big feat, considering how he's just a newbie. But the space time really had to stretch him in order to pull him out of there and into the chronobowl. Which was quite interesting to watch. Wish we could see the scenes with much polished CGI. As for the colour changing of the suit, His actual lightning is blue, but the new suit gives the lightning yellow colour.

I liked that first effect of Barry's time travel in the solo movie where it's blue and formless, it was kinda how I always imagined a Flash running through the speed force.
But I think the time theater (chrono arc?) as a setting was a weird choice whose rusty special effects took away from the movie.

This is so super cool. Superspeed is always been one of my favorites even throughout my childhood. I’m wondering why does our Barry run with a particular running style that looks a little weird. Is it because it helps with his electricity or accelerate his speed? I want to learn everything I can because this is amazing thank you 🙏🏿
We can see that this version of Barry is very slippery while running (seen in the first clip of this video when he just got his powers) because he moves so fast that there is no friction, like when you are on ice. So over time, he learned to move his arms and hands like an ice skater and run in long strides to better increase and control his speed. This is why younger Barry's running looks more normal, but he slips and slides a bit more than older Barry.

Think about it, if you're running that fast, the momentum would cause you to bound and slide more, so he's basically running with low gravity and friction. So he needs to adapt his running form for better handling given that he's practically on hard mode. Peope think it looks weird but it's actually realistic, it's makes more sense that just running normally but sped up

I have a cool idea for how the DCU handles the SpeedForce. What if they handle it like Wi-Fi.
Barry Allen is the generator of the SpeedForce, so he’s like a Router.
Any other speedsters like Kid Flash are like devices connecting to that Wi-Fi. The more speedsters, the more complications connecting to the SpeedForce there will be.
Due to speedsters other than Barry having to “connect” to the SpeedForce, they can’t just go from 0 to 100 like Barry. They’ll have to build up kinetic energy by running or moving a body part fast to “attract” the SpeedForce. This could be shown visually by the lightning striking the user to charge them up, rather than the lightning coming out of them.
For Reverse Flash he’ll be a router like Barry once he creates the Negative SpeedForce.

In the new flash movie it makes the point that Barry can’t go back and change the past or even no matter how many times he tries, the same outcome will still happen. So how was he able to go back multiple times in the just league without any repercussions?
I think it’s because in Justice League Flash is reversing it while staying in the timeline, whereas in the movie he’s stepping outside the timeline and going back.
What happened in Justice League was literally the apocalypse. No matter what repercussions changing the past does, nothing could be worse than that. And the stuff where the same outcome happens, that's a fixed point in time, meaning it's a constant throughout a group of timelines, if you managed to break that, you put yourself in a whole nother universe, hence Flashpoint. Not everything is a fixed point, not every change has equal repercussions, the 2 times he went back in JL, it was only for a few seconds
Because in the flash, he changed his mother's death and the world he was trying to save had to be destroyed

im ganna be honest i love grant as flash but ezras flash is unique during that reverse you can see his lightnings fixing other parts while hes running its a cool detail plus his version is using speedforce and made his own suit alone no scientist friends help him he train alot on his own he learn how to phase and other use of his abilities on his own bassically he never had a mentor only on his own while CW got a lot of help from others to learn and explore his powers and abilities plus if you understand this properly why he runs that ways if he didnt he will have a big problem hes like controlling his speed as you can see this scene also 10:42 at first glimpse we see him run fast then when he reach that speed his run looks like a normal running but thats what it looks like when hes running fast on his point of view

After I watched this video, I just realized how motherfuckerly powerful The Flash is compared to Superman. Superman maybe stronger and invulnerable but The Flash is faster and powerful and let's not forget that.
Also, I have a theory about the suit change. As we all know the suit was made by Bruce for Barry but I don't think it's just for the new look and design. It was actually created to contain the lightning to be directed to one direction which is behind as a trail. If you guys realize before the suit, Barry's lightning just scattered around randomly but after the suit, his lightning is reduced, slick, and neat. And of course, the yellow color effect is a result of the suit technology which also sticks Yellow theme lightning as in the comic.
