  • A routine service call, but not necessarily an easy one. Seems like all the hours of OSHA training for safe ladder use goes right out the window here. Replacing a defective DSP (digital signal processor) in a high end fine dining restaurant. Only way to actually access the back of the equipment rack was standing on the counter top and straddling the big coffee machine. To make things exciting, the restaurant was getting ready to open for a busy pre-holiday Friday lunch. This took place before any of the virus closures, so the dining room would soon be very full. A mistake in the congratulation on one of these devices could result in the music jumping to full volume in any or all of the dining areas.
