no "ruined castle"?
@@zhbitjeanits derelict keep?
I really wish they would have played this Final Battle at some point in SoP. Maybe when Jack is Chaos and fighting the Warrior of Light.
@@alexprice9918 they also left this version of the theme out in the fight with Chaos in FFXIV, which I'm still salty about. >:(
YOU... are my number one... GUY!
I love that first track "Chaos Temple", really atmospheric sounding.
Here's the list in chronological order (because I'm not a maniac like someone else):
0:00 Chaos Shrine
4:55 Mount Gulg
9:24 Castle Cornelia
13:16 Dungeon
17:46 Boss Battle A

Anyways credit to @belicsnake for compiling the list, was just slightly annoyed that it was in the order of the OST that you can buy not the order that they're played in here
What a beautiful soundtrack and a good game. Thank you for uploading, especially with chaos shrine as the opener!
In Pixel remaster edition, sound has gone through intense sound rearrangements and editing, making this music reach her full potential. Composition by Uematsu already was a masterpiece.
the music is a she?
@@chriscarter8593 The usual trend of referring to ocean going vessels, massive construction projects, and Your Own Personal Sidearm is a mix of a whole lot of things. Don't agree with it, but it is what is for now.
@@chriscarter8593 it actually is in portuguese lol
her?
@@chriscarter8593 Music in this game is beautiful like a cute girl
Thank you for sharing this! They really upped the quality of the music, and it's especially refreshing since we had the same quality and/or composition since the PS1 version.
As a fan of the PS1 version I have to say that composition of wise yes, but quality this is organic as hell. I would say that the soundtracks alone are worth the price of each individual game in the switch store LOL
I first completed FF1 on the GBA. I was impressed back then how they remastered the ost from the 8 bit original.
But for the Pixel Remaster they really took it to the next level! Absolutely beautiful!
Let me one up you. My first completed playthrough was a Java version on my old Sony Ericsson mobile phone😂 holy shit, the things kid will do when his parents ban him from playing on PC🤣
@@patrykderecki2165 Baby boomers, the bane of gen X and us millenials, still public enemy n1 for zoomers. For a good reason. LOL
Best versions of all these soundtracks. Just makes playing the games 100% more enjoyable
i have never played any final fantasy game before even the newest one but now i am starting from the first ever final fantasy game and i am instantly inlove with it, thanks for this video
final boss start here 39:21
Yes 58:01 was the one I was looking for. Thank you soo much!
My top 3:
1. Chaos Shrine
2. Matoya's Cave
3. The Ship
And there was this FF1 Orchestra album with a medley of some of these tracks that is nothing short of perfection. Goosebumps all over when I hear how powerfully arranged they were. I had it somewhere but no clue how to find it now.

I love how “Inn” sounds like a lullaby.
man, Stranger of Paradise needed this soundtrack. this one is just way too good to let it stay in the Pixel Remasters only.
Been absolutely LOVING Stranger of Paradise
Because the Pixel Remasters are good, respectable Final Fantasy games. Not that Forspoken Male Edition garbage.
@@SimonsChannel Forspoken stays rent free in your minds. It's amazing how you can't just say you enjoy something without bringing it up in some unrelated way.
@@Rashimotosan I'm bringing it up because they're both the same average Action RPGs but with characters that just keep saying Marvel style quips about everything they see or do. I played Forspoken for a few minutes but on mute because I'm really tired of hearing stupid quips everywhere.
This song was in the end not like this but it was definitely in there
Matoyas Cave is absolutely epic.
I still think the ps1 version is the best one.
"Sunken Shrine" (music) does in fact play in the last dungeon only. Not in the "Sunken Shrine" (water dungeon).
Thanks for music ost posting.
Wow the final boss theme goes wild. They don't call it Chaos for nothing.
Jack isn't messing around.
@@georgehouliaras7239 Jack Means Business!
@@CleaningCaptainYou cannot grasp the true form of Chaos's attack!
I came here to deeat Chaos !
Nobody's gonna talk about how hard that Airship theme goes at 1:30:23?
Please take those nunchucks off the blackbelt! They shouldn't be using any weapons after you cross the bridge!
Chaos Shrine and Derelict Keep are my favorites.
Agreed Derelict Keep caught my ear big time, quite blown away by it. Could you describe what you like about it? For me it's the blend of graceful strings with the mysterious meditative pulse by the kalimba
I didn't know chaos shrine could get any better after the PSP version, but it did
Funny enough, Derelict Keep has the same motif for Strangers of Paradise...the game about Garland...and Chaos Shrine is his main area...even has a couple more motifs.
This brings back so much memories
I am very glad they used the extra songs from the remake(s) (PS1, GBA, etc...).
actually properly remastered video game music
The new overworld theme for this game was so good
Absolutely adore the PSP version of the Dungeon theme, but the Pixel Remaster version is pretty good too.
I appreciate whoever put this video together but got damn... 2 loops, 3 maybe for shorter tracks max. Boss Theme B plays for like 6 times.
Thanks!
It's still funny that the mini-boss has more impact than boss A and boss B
Man, someone really should mod this into a ROM hack for the PSP version
It's finally here bro
@@Scapegoat0442 they made a PSP mod?
@@Rashimotosan Yep there is now
The Pixel Remaster versions of the Final Fantasy 1-6 OSTs are so amazing.
That said, this isn't the complete FF1 PR OST which is comprised of 33 tracks. There's only 21 tracks in this video. The last 12 tracks are missing here😞
I hope they bring these to iTunes someday. It took years for FF7R tracts to get on there. Closest is the PSP version
I could swear I heard a minor-key dirge version of FF1's overworld map theme during the scene where Clive confronted Anabella at Twinside.
Still want proper CD-OSTs for all the pixel remasters
Lol The monk looks like Derek from More Plates More Dates
Oh comments are back on this finally
This game is pixel perfect. I have finished it 4 times lol\
While I am personally not a fan of the pixel remaster's music and the removal of the PSP's extra bosses, 30:52 goes HARD.
橋を始めて渡った時の"オープニング・テーマ"がないぞ!!*FFシリーズのテーマ、FF4のゼロムス戦前のあの展開時のBGM、でわかりやすいかな?
Use "mute" against Astos, "hold" against Kary, and "bane sword" against tiamat. The basics work... why are people so scared? Ignorance?
Defensively, "white shirt", "fast" and "power gauntlet" on round 1 is best for boss wins. (Kill fast with less damage is ideal)
Xcalibur or ruse during setup (knight), masamune or power gauntlet during setup (master if low level, barefist if level 42+ and equip white wizard with it), red wizard (buff with fast, heals every turn), white wizard or white shirt during setup (heal during setup, attack for win (with masamune)/heal on emergencies)
We're all here to 39:21.
C H A O S
Chaos shrine wisely uses the general arrangement of the psx version; however, battle theme has never been bettered over the Nes and Msx for mood and feel. Too bombastic, missing the skulking feel.
Kary / Marilith now looks closer to her NES sprite than her GBA / PSP art.
Most of the monster follow their original concept like the Lich or the tyronasaurus.
@@Chale1288 oh then the Evil Eye will look as disturbing as it did in the NES version? I... dunno if i should feel excited or traumatized lol
Mount Gulg in this one kind of reminds me of the remix done in final fantasy 9
my favorite 0:00 to 4:55
I can swear i heard the menu theme in rebirth once

Aaah, suffering.
What do you mean, I added timestamps some days ago!
@@belicsnake weird I don't know how I missed that. Much appreciated!
You can, by the way, buy the album^^ the quality on RUclips is horrendous and does not represent the soundtrack well anyway
Matoya's Cave ❤
Bliss!

I like the new theme of Grugu mountain but im prefer the PSP version.
it´s not on spotify anymore...
Missing some of the tracks
🙏 Please extend Final Fantasy 4 (Pixel Remaster version) of Castle Damcyan & also Country of Troia. 20 minutes each please 🥺🙏
Having a good time by playing exp 0.5 and Gil gain 4.0x. Yeah, this plays from the original which Gil is rather hard to obtain.
I kinda wish the Sunken Shrine and Chaos Shrine themes were swapped.
they are, the track listing in the game ost are wrong
@@Crazetex ah
If you look through the soundtracks of the various other iterations of FF1, you'll find it's that way for other versions of the game, too; I think it's become a running gag for the game's soundtrack at this point.
@@CleaningCaptain Yeah no I’ve noticed that too XD. It is kinda funny tho
Is there a video for each song?
where is opening theme
Gotta be honest, I prefer the Town theme on the PS1 and PSP versions
35:26
Wheres prelude?
pixel remastered themes sounded much better for the nes/fc ff games than the snes/sfc ones imo. i didnt like the snes/sfc versions so i stuck to the original ost playing those games.
This is why Square Enix is better than EA. Square Enix remaster a whole Final Fantasy series with remake awesome music to HD while EA never remaster a NFS Most wanted and Underground series and make a crap games that are not so good unlike NFS MW and this games
EA is busy with woman football. 😂😂😂😂
Where is Castle of Ordeals?
58:01 - Derelict Keep
@@XadePsyconic Thanks! Not nearly as good as the PSP version. The PSP version ROCKS!!!!
@@jamescruz5637 No prob. Never played the PSP version, I'll have to go listen to it.
@@XadePsyconic Let me know what you think after you check it out!
Okay, after listening to he whole video through, I am not too impressed. The sound quality is great, but the instrumentation and the arrangement seems to be many cases worse than how they were in the older soundtrack of Final Fantasy Origins/20th anniversary release. Here is the listing showing how this Pixel Remaster OST fares against the Origins OST composition by composition:
Sunken Shrine (which has been mixed up with Chaos Shrine in this video's description): worse
Mount Gulg: worse
Castle Cornelia: worse
Dungeon: better
Boss Battle A: equally good
Boss Battle B: worse
Matoya's Cave: better
Main Theme: worse
Menu Screen: better
Final Battle: equally good
Miniboss Battle: equally good
Inn: worse
Shop: equally good
Derelict Keep: worse
Battle: equally good
Sanctuary: worse
Flying Fortress: worse
Chaos Shrine: better
The Ship: worse
Town: better
Airship: worse
Looking at results it is clear which version has the better soundtrack overall.
> Boss Battle B: worse
That chant/choir near the end of the loop was _divine_ though.
@@elinfini Undoubtedly. Unfortunately, it does not negate the wrong notes playing at the beginning of the loop.
I think I'm the only one who didn't like the new arrangement of the musics in all the pixel collection.
The magic effects too sadly, still imo the best experience ever with any FF is with the og ones.
I love most of them, I just don't like Mount Gulg and the Flying Fortress ones, they lack punch and lost their omnious nature. My solution is going to be modding these 2 from the PS1 version.
They ruined sublet shrine. Always interesting seeing different aspects of the songs get highlighted each time the soundtrack gets a redo. Some of the things that made that track for me in the psp version are no longer here.
Personally, I think the Pixel Remasters should've also included an "Old Arranged" option in the menu for a soundtrack option when they were updated. With FFI and FFII's "Old Arranged" soundtrack being Final Fantasy Origins, and FFIII and FFIV's being the PSP remake soundtrack.
I prefer the sparser nes versions. They give off a sense of danger and uncertainty. These new arrangements are too 'full' and intricate and don't fit the setting/situation.
They ruined Mount Gulg's theme.
good thing there’s an option to listen to the original
@@revolverocelot4433 Yup!
The boss music sounds worse
this is best Ost of FF1 they out did themselves again!
