I have this tank, and actually it’s one of my best performers. It can go toe to toe with heavies, and it’s a great support unit. You just gotta keep moving, slow or not. My personal opinion
I have this tank, and I have to say, it's not better than most tanks I own. There are so many tanks that are better in every way, that playing this tank is about pointless. plus its slow and the armor is terrible, and the gun hits like a sissy, at best. 90mm gun in tier 8 is almost useless. lucky this tank don't see tier 9-10, or it would really be just a waste of time, all together. so its only saving grace is that it has preferential match making... and that is it.

Claus, I feel your pain. The Super Pershing has always been a difficult tank to play because of the lack of speed. But you're right - 10 years ago it still had good armor and the stand-off plate on the front and sides of the turret was good at stopping AP/APCR and great at stopping HEAT and HESH. A good player could make it work. Now it's slow and a glass cannon...without much of a cannon. 🤠

Cant play it like a medium, you need to commit to 1 flank like a heavy tank. Honestly WG need to take away the weak spot on top or increase the frontal armor thickness.

Initially he used to do this to provide us with daily contents while being on holidays (which makes sense) but I suspect he's doing more now on a regular basis for some reasons. Don't get make wrong I love Claus and his content but we all know that to a certain extent the feeling of being as 'live' as possible with the C.C has a value that looking at old footage hasn't hence why a lot of people are asking him to go back to live Twitch content. This is what people wants it's just a fact. Now his channel, his choice, his life.
10 years ago I used to wolf pack with two other T26E4. With the quick reload time, we basically machine gunned everything we ran across. Had something like a 75% WR for that plat lol.
The good old superslug. Its spaced armor on the turret still does work in the the right situation even bouncing tier 9 rounds (from the old tier 9's not these new meta tier 9's)
Shortly after this tank was released WG nerfed it and offered to give back the good that was used to buy it. I took up the offer and never regretted it.
Goes to the wrong place, blames the tank. Hangs too long getting farmed, blames the tank. “Not my playing style”, blames the tank. Plays badly, blames the tank.
Ehhhhhhhh..... the Super P can still be good if you know how to use it. You can't just frontal rush with the armor, it doesn't work that way anymore. BUT, you can still angle it pretty well, so using it on a corner, or on a hill where you can bury the front plate, or against anything lower tier it's still a very functional tank. It's one of my best tanks.
When it first came out it had like 300mm armor to it which was a lot for it back then. Most tanks couldn't pen it. It was OP for its tier when it came out. WG later corrected it but for a good while it was a really good Tier 8 premium tank that made a lot of credits for it's owner.
I like the Super P. I think this is a true "Ole School" tank for the older WOT player. Its been nerfed & buffed a few time. Originally I think it had a top speed of maybe 26kph? It always had a great gun. I just enjoy taking this thing out sometime to remind me of when the game was new and not as broken as it is now. Every so often, I'll have a 4K game in it and its just satisfying :-)
I've never cared about the match making. It will always be a box of chocolates. Will never be a match making issue with me, only how I play the tank I am playing is the difference. I mean come on, you know this tanks strengths and weaknesses, you keep listing them. You can't play them all the same way. One needs to adjust to the tank, it won't ever adjust to you. Just makes me laugh, he keeps saying what he can't do, and he does so anyway. Good comedy. It's what makes Claus the best channel on RUclips.
40km/hr is a great speed for the Super Pershing. It allows you to watch the battle unfold and pick off the cripples when you get there. Make sure you load a lot of APCR. I'm gonna put turbo, as he proceeds to put rotation device.
Claus, drop the VStabs and put a Turbo in the mobility slot. You can keep the vents and rammer. Seriously, the Turbo in the mobility slot gives it much more playable speed.
Funny in game 1 turbo would have made 0 difference the +5 km/h wouldn't make a difference on 40 km/h, in general turbo only really benefits the really slow tanks like t28/t95 and similar slow tanks and the swedish snipers which really benefit from the speed gain in X-mode....the small speed gain on most tanks won't make up for the loss of one of the better equipment like vents, improved aiming, rammer, optics, vert stabs.
3/5/7 is just the model for the best possible matchmaking. Has nothing to do with other combos, it's always been that way, but you will never see tier ten which is the point of feicking "preferential". Newb Claus
I usually like Claus' videos, but this one contains more nonsense than usual 😕 the setup for this tank should be turbo/rammer/stab or mobility, stab and rammer.
Its easy to pen today, but i play it and its ok. Gun is ok i mean.. instead you should put bunty gunrammer and gundam.. i mean gunram direcive on it so it gos tatata instead of boom boom
the amount of times you get tier 10s in a tier 8, vs how many times you get tier 6s in a tier 8 is an absolute shitshow...i know the super is preferred, but generally, with a tier 8 the balance of mm getting 10s vs 6s is sooo messed up and not balanced at all.

Claus is fun to watch as some of the voices in my head agree with him. Yep WG power creeped it to death when they took off pref match making.

On the T26E4 Super Pershing, equip the turbocharger and the groussers for speed. That's what I did with mine.

Don't ever drop food for high octane fuel. The terrain resistances alone from the food make the fuel consumables obsolete.

One of my favorite tanks, can block a lot of damage! I really enjoy a platoon full of super pershings, makes for a fun game!
I remember when the SP had 3 layers of spaced hull armor before they "remodeled" it.

All the tanks are,at the least,good. I only play slow old school,no gold, tanks. Don't have the S Pershing but it was a very strong tank to kill.👍

It is still one of the best medium tanks in te game, heavily armoured, especially if you know how to use you armour effectively!

Enjoyed the 2nd game. I would rather draw or lose a 15 min game than win a 15-2 blowout where I can’t get much damage.

I think that was before there was gold/premium ammo let alone the power creep.
