So helpful ...it took me like 30 minutes in practice mode to get it down but once I did I went straight to Kombat league and paired up with a grandmaster level 67 Kung Lao and whooped his ass so this video definitely improve my scorpion skills
I remember learning scorpion while tripping on acid 😆 The acid made me feel like I was stuck in that “MK world” I was doing his character towers and the only way to “break free” was to complete all of them 😆anyways scorpion is dope
@@MadDoggGames hey in the main combo i tried it if you wanna get extra more damage then in the last when you do the spear amplify it and either add death spin or the dark soul if you add dark soul it might get more damage cause it has burning effect which damage over time thanks for the video i wanna become good with scorpion and this was one of the best guides
@@apoorvachandra523 That's what I used to do as well, but then I got better at his two bar combo, and you get more damage in total, plus why amplify spear when you can just do that combo twice

his F34 KB into amplified spear then F212 KB is good though, about 35% and only one bar, his F212 KB isn't as good as F32 into DF4 for general combo enders so that 2 KB combo actually makes use of 212 KB
As a Scorpion main I must admit that his best variation is not the 1st or 2nd one but really the 3rd one is his best, it just gives you more different types of attacks etc..

What I've learned is you gotta play and MASTER a character like legit master a character. Scorpion is great for that since he has very little moves and also is in every game. I suck at MK11 too (MKXL was my game, I rocked at Ermac) but I've been working on mastering one sole character and maining Scorpion.

Thanks for the tutorial! I've always been struggling with combos in MK, but your videos really help. I also switched up the fatal blow combo a bit, starting it with forward32, like the main combo. If does slightly more damage (45% rather than 42%) and a bit more if you have the burning spear (49%)
There’s a better main combo for scorpion. Right after you do the damned you do the spear and you amplify and then do a 1,1,2 with burning spear and pretty much draw out 40% Edit: I found this combo by myself

When you get to the 11 before the animation ends quickly do the back forward 1 it has to be quick, one tip I'd say is, when you do the 11 do that quick, like don't even wait for the first 1 to connect, practice that in lab and even if it misses you'll learn the timing pretty quick. You could also just do that part for the timing, like 11, back forward 1 and then implement that in the rest of the combo once you got the timing. Good luck 👍
For som reason it will not read spear when when I input it. I can do Square Square spear normally, it won’t let me in the combo. Same timing just won’t work.
With the first combo you can make your spear on fire and amp the spear throw and do death spin for some extra damage it get you to like 398 or something like that
I can't throw the spear out, I can't figure out if my timing is wrong, but I just can't land it until a certain amount of time passes it seems, I can't catch them airborne
I’ve been in practice for a while now, and when I say a while I mean I lost track of time. The last part of the kombo leading into the spear needs to be PERFECT. The two punches and spear kombo need to happen right after one another. No pause in between. You don’t have enough time to think about it, it needs to flow. I still haven’t perfected it and miss it sometimes but once you get oh dear lord is it satisfying.
My go to, DB4(buff). F3,2-DB3 amp-F3-F3,2-DF4. That's 408 damage for an easy to do, 1 meter punish combo. Spend the extra one and replace DF4 with BF1 amp-F3,2-DF4/FB for 455/500+ damage.
SPEAR TROUBLE? I figured it out! I started letting go of all buttons after each part of the kombo. Now, I can hit main combo 4 times in a row, instead of messing up the final spear. Do forward 3, and let go of everything. In an instant, after forward 3 HITS, I input 11 spear. Always works. Just let go of all buttons after each component. It’s really important to hit forward 3, and NOTHING ELSE. The moment forward 3 lands, you input 11 spear as quickly as possible One problem you will have is that forward 3 hits too late, and he lands on the ground. Avoid this by mashing forward 3 after the amp until you get the timing. Once the forward 3 animation starts, hit NO BUTTONS! Wait until it connects with the enemy, then input 11 spear

And My fav character is Scorpion. I kind of made it my mission to destroy him. So sometimes after work I’ll go home and practice with scorpion and it was very hard and confusing because I’m usually just mashing buttons and using the same spear move just to keep smashing buttons more lol. It was really tough pulling this off but I managed to do so. And I really surprised them. Although I still lost🤣 But I had a kick out of their faces as I executed this move set.☺️ Thank you again!

The spear doesn't come out at the end of the combo, did an update change it? Edit: I just tried to do the hellport into flick kick and the dammed but the spear still didn't hit and when you did It, it looks like the amp hell port pushed the ai higher into the air so I think they updated it to where you going the enemy less high into the air
Got MK a while ago, and been trying to learn scorpion, but couldn't find basic combos. Thank god for this. I still can't quite get the timing, but this video is a massive help. Thanks my guy
After the teleport amp, instead of f3, 1, 1, you could just use f3,2 again and then cancel into spear, its definitely alot easier to pull off. If you are willing to put 2 bars, I reccomend you amlify the spear, then either follow up by 212 for a KB, or go with a F3, 2 cancel into DF4 if you’ve already used up your KB.
Jesus, thanks so much. For some reason the timing for Flick Kick into The Damned was so darn tricky. This is so much easier and does near identical damage!
A variation you can do on this combo is (facing right) F32~DB3~D2 wait a spit second F43~BF1(AMP) ~DF3 (AMP) DB1 112 Fatal. I'd love to see someone attempt this one
hey could anyone give me some pointer ? im playing on ps4 and i can not for the life of me chain the damned into spear. I done it once or twice but can not reliably replicate :( it feel like if i input spear before the damned animation finish then it wont register :( but inputing late ruin the combo :( help ?
I worked on your combo a little, I amplified the spear then added dark soul which has a crushing blow guarantee because the limbo is more than 8 hits. Then because it breaks there ribs it drains there health
There is an alternative practice for the main combo, what I do to practice forward kick and “The Damned,” then spear is do those first then when I master it, do the first combo and add the other to it, just might make it easier, or what I’m saying is do the practice with everything but the flick kick and rising spear first to practice that and then add the flick kick and rising spear :)

@@tomato8593 just try teleport as soon as you hack and slash. this game allows you to press some inputs early without having to time perfectly

My favorite combo is with burning spear, first activate your buff then, f3-2 db3(A) f1 f1-2 df4. Does like 46 percent with one bar

One thing you can do with the first one, after the final spear you can amplify it and do 114 to get the krushing blow for a lot of damage

I’m having a lot of trouble getting the spear off when they are still midair. I guess it just takes time and practice, I’ll keep trying
If you add the " Burning Spear buff " to the first combo the damage is- 359.12 and is 9 hits.
You can slightly extend this combo by Amplifying the spear

Got MK a while ago, and been trying to learn scorpion, but couldn't find basic combos. Thank god for this. I still can't quite get the timing, but this video is a massive help. Thanks my guy

After the teleport amp, instead of f3, 1, 1, you could just use f3,2 again and then cancel into spear, its definitely alot easier to pull off. If you are willing to put 2 bars, I reccomend you amlify the spear, then either follow up by 212 for a KB, or go with a F3, 2 cancel into DF4 if you’ve already used up your KB.
Jesus, thanks so much. For some reason the timing for Flick Kick into The Damned was so darn tricky. This is so much easier and does near identical damage!
Yea that’s what I always do, the only downside is you need that combo ability equiped in your slot, or use the Searing Rage Variation
Pro Tip! The Spear is an SPECIAL CANCEL bois. DO NOT wait for the 1 1 to finish. Dial that spear up!

With the first one after using spear amplify it and use fatal blow for extreme damage

My fav combo and a recommended one is the teleport amplified, then the chain circle amplified
That's not a combo that's a how to waste 2 bars
A variation you can do on this combo is (facing right) F32~DB3~D2 wait a spit second F43~BF1(AMP) ~DF3 (AMP) DB1 112 Fatal. I'd love to see someone attempt this one
hey could anyone give me some pointer ? im playing on ps4 and i can not for the life of me chain the damned into spear. I done it once or twice but can not reliably replicate :( it feel like if i input spear before the damned animation finish then it wont register :( but inputing late ruin the combo :( help ?
I worked on your combo a little, I amplified the spear then added dark soul which has a crushing blow guarantee because the limbo is more than 8 hits. Then because it breaks there ribs it drains there health
There is an alternative practice for the main combo, what I do to practice forward kick and “The Damned,” then spear is do those first then when I master it, do the first combo and add the other to it, just might make it easier, or what I’m saying is do the practice with everything but the flick kick and rising spear first to practice that and then add the flick kick and rising spear :)
